I am not one to complain but in this situation I must. I went to rainbow nails to get a fill and once I was seated I showed them the nail design I wanted and they stated that they weren't able too since they didn't have the "right tools". Mind you one of my nails was already coming off and the nail tech went ahead and added acrylic. I'm no expert but once a nail is loose and not attached to the nail they must remove it and add a new nail but that wasn't the case. Next thing when she started to paint them she kept adding and adding coat making it super lumpy as well as the shape, she left it too thick, which I told her multiple times and nothing was done. All I can say is that I won't be going there anymore and people please don't get scammed. read more

Worst experience I have had in my life. The tools were not taken out of any type of cleaner, just a cup beside them that they were placed right back into directly after being used on my feet. Same with the callous scrubber, it was actually indented from use on other peoples feet. From the moment I sat down, I was getting pink and white, as well as my friend. After going back and forth on the pink for a couple minutes, my friend decided to go with just plain red. After I picked a pink I liked, she began painting. After a coat or two I realized it wasn't as dark as I would have liked and asked if we could do one coat of something darker on top. You would think I asked them to start completely over the way they reacted, but eventually agreed. She then says we are done and I look down and there is no french tip on my toes. She acts shocked even though from the moment I walked in I said I was getting french. Frustrated, she rips the toe spreaders off my feet and starts to take off the top coat to do the french. After doing the french tip on one toe, it was so thick and uneven, I said forget it, I'll just get the pink alone. She tried to say that it was because of the pink that I chose made it not look right. No, I just think my friend's daughter could have actually done a better job if given some white paint. She then made my very pregnant friend get up to pay before I was done, so that the woman doing her nails wouldn't have to get up again??? The cherry on top was another customer asking for the wifi password, and the owner getting up from doing someones toes, with gloves on that she was just using on another customers feet, to grab his phone and enter the password. I guess we never learned about cross contamination? Would love to see their license. read more

I noticed this place as I was leaving the plaza. I pulled into a parking spot so I could look at the reviews. Since they are highly rated, I decided to stop in to see if they had any availability to do a manicure. The woman greeted me and said she would fit me in. I was pleasantly surprised as they were pretty busy. She was very nice, considering that I just walked in out of the blue. I couldn't help but notice that the salon reeked of incense. I attempted to go pick out a nail polish, but I literally started gagging and coughing. Then my eyes started to sting, and I knew that I had to leave as soon as possible before the overwhelming odor would trigger a migraine. I am not opposed to incense, but I do suffer from allergies, and I was starting to feel nauseous. The salon has great reviews. They were busy. Obviously, this is a "me" problem, and I get it, I really do. Not everyone has allergies and is so sensitive to such powerful odors. Some people can sit and inhale the smoke and be fine with it, I am not one of those people. The nail salon wasn't modern or decorated nicely, but it was clean. In my opinion, the cleanliness of a salon is really the most important thing anyway. Three stars because they were very nice to me, the salon is clean, and from what I can remember, they have a good selection of polishes. The bottom line is that it wasn't their fault that I am highly sensitive to strong odors and clouds of smoke swirling around me. I came in trying to get my nails done for my birthday (I told them this too). I came in for a fill with French and white chrome like the Hailey Bieber nails and the chrome came out WAY too strong. I told her I was uncomfortable with it and she said that it would look different in the light. We tried a pink chrome instead but like I said I wanted white not pink so I politely said no. So she finishes the chrome and it doesn't look any different in the light and she starts yelling at me saying I'm messing up her chrome and that's why it doesn't look right. But reality was she didn't put the chrome even fully on. It was patchy in some areas. I told her I wished she told me she couldn't do the chrome when I brought her the picture otherwise I would've chosen something else and she said all I did was WASTE HER TIME. This was extra funny because she was playing candy crush before she took me lol. I used to do services, I have my cosmetology license. I know how picky people can be but I never told any of my clients they waste my time and blame them for a bad service. I asked her to remove the chrome and I would just do French. It wasn't what I wanted and the nail wasn't even done to the cuticle. Do not come here. I think she was the owner too which was extra disappointing. read more

I had no appointment so I was happy someone was available to help me. There's a 5 Stars rating on Yelp so I figured it must be the best salon ever. But Nooooooo YOU! BE THE JUDGE! On my very first visit I'm left waiting outside for 12 minutes before a woman speeds through the parking lot, sharply turns into a spot and then casually takes her time walking to the door and then opening the shop. I'm thinking, " no way does this lady work here." I go to the door and she's chatting away with someone on the phone discussing some topic far from work related. I wait for her to finish...cause I'm polite. She finishes her conversation than smiles at me asking if I had an appointment. I didn't. So I asked if they were mandatory she said no. I tell her I need a manicure and pedicure. She says "great" and starts telling me about all the up charges. No one else is in the store with us even though it's nearly 20 minutes after posted time. She never moved to lead me to any tables or seating area. I ask WHO would be doing the work since no technicians were in the store. This is when she tells me, "I CAN do you pedicure but (can't remember the man's name) is fully booked for the day"? "I don't need (can't remember his name) or even know who that is... is there anyone else that can do my nails?" She goes back into trying to sell me uncharged pedicure, discussing, Nexgen and a bunch of other ish. I already told her that I was going on a cruise and though I wanted "loud" nails I would want something more muted the following week. I'm standing biting my tongue and letter her ramble. When she finally stops, I ask, "Is there anyone coming soon that can do both my nails and feet?" "No you need an appointment." I turn around to leave (because I want to cuss.) She says something about, I can do your pedicure and you come back later for ya nails. I had been at the store nearly 30 minutes. They owe me time and that 1 star back! read more

I made an early appointment on a Sunday and was greeted by the smell of incense and soothing music. Very calming environment for a Sunday morning!! I had a pedicure and it was fabulous. Ask for Tina! Just got a gel pedicure from them, good quick service but I would say there was no "deluxe" feeling for what I paid for which was $45, 2 minutes scrub massage on each foot was fine but i've had way better service and better massage for way cheaper. I still can't get over the fact that it was almost $50... Not worth your money if you're there for the "deluxe spa". Gel pedicure is fine, still not worth it. read more

If you don't feel like reading the whole review, this sums it up: if you enjoy being treated humanely, dare I say, kindly along with your mani pedi, go elsewhere. For me, getting my nails done is a routine luxury and I prefer not to be treated like dirt when I go. I was hoping to make this my regular nail place but after the experience I just had I'll be going elsewhere. The woman who did my mani pedi was nice and did a decent job. However, the woman who was "greeting" people and doing most of the communicating with clients was horribly RUDE. Everything I said was returned with a look of disgust and a loud NASTY response. At the end, I asked my nail tech who was ringing me up if I could tip on my debit card because I never carry cash, she nodded to say yes and then the nasty woman yelled NO YOU CAN'T TIP ON CARD!!!! I asked if I could Zelle, Venmo or Cashapp my nail tech and she said NO!!! NO!! I said to her "I've been here before and I'm pretty sure I've tipped on the card or Zelle before because I never carry cash" and she yelled NO YOU HAVEN'T!!! NEVER!!! They have a janky looking ATM in the corner of the nail salon that 1. I didn't trust and 2. didn't want to pay a processing fee on, I'd rather that money go to the nail tech and I always tip over 20%. It was POURING rain out this afternoon, so even though I was absolutely disgusted with the TERRIBLE customer service, I didn't want to leave my nail tech without a tip so I drove to the nearest BofA ATM in literal floods only to find that it's not working. So now, my nail tech has to wait until I can get to a working BofA ATM to get her tip. I'm not going to punish her for the terrible attitude of that other woman but who knows when that will be. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK. read more

If I could rate this 3.5 stars, I would. The overall pedicure was great. It was pretty basic though. I normally get the deluxe pedicure at other salons I go to but I didnt' see that option. The person working on me did a leg/foot scrub with a nice massage then washed away the scrub but left my legs wet. He then proceeded to put cream on my wet skin and massage it. The massage was strange and not long at all.... he had rubber gloves on which made it feel weird. He did however do a good job on my cuticles and they had a nice selection of polishes. Wow. I called and asked the price for a mani pedi and was told 40. At the end I got charged 61 somehow... anyways if the job was done right I wouldn't even care about the money but my nails ended up looking terrible. The girl did okay for the pedi but my fingernails were just a disaster. The paint got stuck to the edges, she tried to fix it by filing and cutting some off. The edges are so bad, most of them didn't even get paint. So disappointed. Will never come back. read more

i paid $63 for an "acrylic full set" that's extremely short and badly shaped. they look like teeth instead of nails. i told her that i wanted them a very narrow square and kept reiterating this over and over just for them to be chunky and fat. i had a fullset on from another salon before coming in and they charged me $10 extra to take it off even though all she did was painfully stab at my hands with a nail tip breaking almost all of my nails. i will never show my face here again. they didn't even have the original color i wanted which was a natural pink. they're a rip off. for the price i paid you would've thought i was getting something fancy on my hands but this was ridiculous. $63 for white??? read more

I have been to rainbow nails multiple time. It's usually very enjoyable. I get a pedicure every now and then. I was there Monday and now my mind is changed completely about this place. DONT GO TO RAINBOW NAILS. I was getting a pedicure and the lady asked me if my big toe hurt because she thought I had an ingrown nail. I told her to leave it alone and she didn't listen and dug out my nail! Now my toe is infected! It's effecting my work because I work on my feet and I am absolutely livid. This place is amazing from the people to the nails. My mom and I come in all the time they are always nice and they all do a great job on the nails. I'm a nail biter and I have such short nails but they always are accommodating. My nails r nice and thin too so they last 2 weeks even tho my nails r way to short . The lady I had the pleasure of doing my feet with literally cut all my nails off. None of my nails were straight I had to keep telling her "straight" and she still didn't understand. Then she gives me a manicure in which didn't even paint my nail fully. My nails literally looked like I needed a touch up. I had to take the nail filer away from her and file my own nail. To top it off, the gentleman tells me the total was $70 for a gel mani and gel pedi. I've never paid that much! I live in NY, the most expensive state and still I only pay $45 for both! I will never come here again. Owners need to learn to teach their employees to ask customer how they like their nails done, not to assume!
