I can't believe I've never reviewed this place! I've been getting my nails done by Tim at Ruby's nails for probably over a decade. I love him and his wife, Mary, and whoever the reviewer said that they were so rude couldn't be more delusional. They are very kind and friendly, and always help you have exactly what you're looking for on your nails and toes. I'm not much of a planner, and I can usually call the day before and get an appointment for the following day. The salon is not "fancy", but I can't tell you how many salons I went to that were and did not know how to do nails. I do,however, love their massage chairs for the pedicures. Their prices are very reasonable, and I always walk out of there very pleased with the work that was done. Today I got a "freedom manicure" in honor of the 4th of July tomorrow. Prior to finding this salon, my nails would fall off within a week of getting done. I literally can go a month in between getting my nails done with maybe only one breaking and that's because I'm ridiculously hard on my hands and keep my nails too long. It's interesting that there are two nail salons in the strip mall, right next to each other. They are each quite different. I called on a Sunday AM and got Tim who said he could do a new Nexgen manicure for me at 3 pm that day. I had not had a manicure in a salon since COVID-19 shut spas down in February 2020. Tim is so sweet and gentle and did a beautiful job. I asked his advice and he suggested to do the lightest pink and white French mani and it is perfect. Highly recommend this salon. I picked Ruby's because of reviews, so felt an obligation to also leave one. Did not disappoint. I called, got an appointment for a couple hours later, very accommodating. Henry was my tech - I have not had great luck with male nail techs in the past but figured I'd give him a chance. He was great! Really took his time, did not hurt me, I had a gel pedicure and acrylic fill/gel manicure. I am very picky about my fill and nail shape but even another customer came over to see my nails when he was done, it's that good. He really took his time too - an hour and a half, no rushing and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Highly recommend Ruby Nail, ask for Henry. You'll be glad you did! I drive 25 minutes because Tony used to do my nails in Delray Beach and I followed him when his brother Tim bought Ruby nails a couple of years ago. Many of the poor reviews on Yelp are from before Tim owned the place. The two brothers and their wives, Mary and Tracy work with other good nail techs. It is very clean and very friendly. I am always greeted by name by everyone when I come in. Tony does my NexGen nails and fills to perfection. It's hard to find a nail salon that does fills. And the pedicures are excellent. There is also free wi-fi. I would not go all the way up to east Boynton from where I live if it wasn't worth the trip. read more

Well, I have been to this place several times. Not the most inviting place but the price and nearby location were what eluded me to coming by. The owner is nice. I finally decided to boycott them after several visits. The older lady technician treated my cuticle with regular sticky lotion, left behind old polish, and missed filing the nails on one hand. I was still charged $17 even though I got up and left with no polish applied. The owners knew something was wrong but to similate around the other customers they pretended nothing was wrong. I was very disappointed with how they handled the situation. On another ocassion I witnessed an upset customer complaining about the quality of the polish being applied.. She tried to explain this to the technician but he did not speak English so he was unable to understand her. The owner ended up finishing the manicure. To sum things up, if you do end up going to this place I recommend you ask for either of the owners and would encourage you not settle for the helpers that are there to handle the busier traffic. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a nails salon. Me and my mom went and both of us hated the results. My mother's nail technician wouldn't listen to what she wanted, he put sparkles on her toes after she had already told him she didn't want it 3 times. Then proceeded to put them on her other foot as well after she said something again. For her nails she wanted them round he said no I don't like them like that and she said ok well I like them round can I please have them round. He ignored her and proceeded to make them extremely short and square. My lady made my toes and nails so extremely short they are barely there. I initially said I wanted to grow them out and she trimmed them short anyways. Terrible experience and I will not be coming back read more

I was visiting Boynton and had to attend an event. I did not have the opportunity to get my nails done on Saturday. The event was on Sunday and I only had an hour. When I tell you they hooked me up and got me out right on time. I even asked for custom colors to match my robe. She did that in Gennex!!! So many compliments and the nails lasted well over 3 weeks. They did not lift as some do. Every one was so nice and accommodating. I loved my experience and will return when I'm in town again. read more

Very easy to walk in and get started on a mani pedi. Everyone was nice and easy to understand. My feet are sensitive and the gentleman doing my pedi was gentle. My feet and finger nails look great! Really bad nail job. I got the French manicure dip vs acrylic because they said it was better. Ok. The outcome is= flecks of powder all under my clear coat. The French manicure lines aren't clean. I asked him midway if that how it's suppose to look. He said no he's not done. I let him do his thing. I told him I didn't like him and told him why(uneven French lines, and powder) he said that how it is. I said it's not clean. There's also a black hair from the brush he used to wipe off excess powder stuck in between my nailDidn't bother offer to fix it, or so something else. They're clientele are old people and I feel bad because they can't see how horrible their work is. Would not recommend at all. read more

I had been to Ruby's previously for a pedicure and had a decent experience so I went back for gel nails; in short, bad idea! The employee was unfriendly from the start but I thought nothing of it - as long as the service was satisfactory it wouldn't make a difference. Wrong again! This person proceeded to cut 8 of my fingers and make them bleed...I have been getting gel nails for years and have never bled during a service heretofore. She clearly had no idea how to use the electronic buffing tool that can be harmful if not used properly. The only reason I didn't halt the service right then and there is because I have had trouble finding an acceptable/affordable nail salon in my area...I just wanted to get it over with. Once the painful service was over, I was told I would be charged nearly double the price of what is listed on their menu for my service. Shocked, I asked the owner Ruby how this could be. She kept repeating the same rhetoric until I had no choice but to give in, exhausted from the arduous experience. Needless to say, I will not be returning! read more

Ruby really knows how to do a fabulous mani-pedi. Also, the attendant, Kim. We first met Ruby at a nearby salon, now she opened her own salon, good for her. She gave me the best pedicure I have every experienced because she really helped me deal with an ingrown toenail. I enjoy the foot/leg massage too. I highly recommend both Ruby and Kim. Since Ruby opened her own salon, I really want it to succeed. She offers a Mani-pedi for $30 and with a coupon only $24! Plus, she does fantastic nail art. My sister-in-law had her nails done there and Ruby painted the most detailed and beautiful nail art for a wedding. So, envious. Go give them a try. They use sterile tools and have a happy attitude! Small salon, not many employees so you may have to wait a bit. They're welcoming to walk ins though. Prices are inexpensive.

Absolutely the rudest, nastiest nail salon in Boynton and I have been to all of them. Roby herself used to work for Tina's Nails and was very pleasant. Now that she on her own, she is horrible. She refused service to me on Saturday 1 hour before closing with no one in the shop. She did not want to service me because I refused to get her more expensive NexGen service the last time I went in. DONT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!!!!!!! Ruby (the owner) ripped off my toenail and then argued with me saying that she saw nail fungus and she was making things better. I have never had toe fungus. She made the mistake of ripping the nail off when she was trying to cut the side of my nail. Well I only have a QUARTER of my big toenail left and I was bleeding profusely in the salon.
