We have been in Fort Lauderdale and I am from Atlanta and the service and the pedi is best ever! If you are a man or have a man that is reluctant to get a mani pedi! I have been going to Kim's for over 10 years. There is no one I trust more for my hands, feet or eyebrows!! I travel for a living now and am not in Florida enough to go there as much as I'd like. But every time someone else does my nails it looks awful and I think of getting back to Florida so I can go to Kim's asap!! A few people in these review said they think Kim is rude. I wanted to give my nails a rest so I tried Kim's Nail and Spa. Removed gloss or dip, didn't remember which and had a manicure. It was a Sunday,so convenient and quite busy, always a good sign. I was surprised at all the color options for gloss and dips and of course not as many for a regular manicure. She did a thorough job grooming my nails. So in my last review, I mentioned that I just moved to FL and had to find a nail salon that was as dedicated to their customer's needs, professional, competitively priced and friendly as I was used to in NY. And I found them! So, I get dipped manicure and when I soak the old manicure off, my nails peal on the sides. Peter was the ONLY one who knew how to build up the sides of my nails so they were all square, they looked great. When I went in for my last appointment, Peter was busy, so Kim took on the challenge. My nails broke in her hands when she was buffing it, I asked her to add more acrylic and she refused. Visited Kimmy's for an exquisite pedicure given to me by Kevin. Before Kevin started, Kimmy applied acrylic on top of my big toe, where my nail had split onto the nail bed and part of it had peeled off and was missing. Kimmy was wonderful and the nail looks natural. She's small but mighty and larger than life. I had a great time with everyone in the salon. It's a class act in Kims Nails & Spa , what a wonderful place to have a spa day. I will definitely be back and will be bringing my family with me next time. I really want to like this spot but I had issues last time I went. The nail tech didn't shape my nails the way I wanted and they didn't have gold to do the design I wanted. The design wasn't anything too crazy and we spent over 40 minutes trying to replicate what I wanted with the gold...needless to say it didn't come out anything like the picture and I ended up getting charged more because she took so long on my design. On top of that my nails had bubbles on them from the nail polish. I'm not in town right now so I can't go back to get them fixed. Not worth $115 Plus tip. I came in on my work break and told them I only had an hour and a half to get one service done. I specifically chose Gel-X because it's supposed to be faster than a pedicure. When I arrived, the technician was moving extremely slow, and when I showed her the design I wanted (a simple French), she immediately started talking about how a deep French costs more--as if I didn't already know that. On top of all the unnecessary back-and-forth about money, they didn't even have Gel-X short tips in stock. So basically, they wasted my entire break and my time for nothing.
