Toi Spa on Lyons Road is my go-to nail spa for my pedicures. I tend to be a fancier person when it comes to manicures and I've had to take a break because my lavish designs tend to cost me a pretty penny, but I used to do manicures here too. My designs usually take the technician around 3-4 hours to do. So I have now had to take a break and now I only get pedicures around 6 times a year. I've actually started to teach myself just to save me some cash. (See photos below) They are gentle and do a wonderful job on pedicures. The nail color always lasts me months. When an unexpected trip came up due to my dad's shoulder surgery and him not being able to drive for six weeks saw me traveling from eastern Washington state to Boynton Beach Florida, I was stressed to say the least. I had to leave at a moments notice, so I canceled my eyelash extensions and mani/pedis in Washington for the foreseeable future and figured I'd find a place down here when I landed. Boy, did I!! I had my lash extensions removed, it took a bit of getting used to my new face but the process was easy, quick and fairly painless. The girl helping me was incredibly gentle and gave excellent instructions to bolster regrowth. As for my nails, I had an acrylic fill done on the same day. Tony did such an amazing job!! He noted the type of pink powder acrylic that had been used before and took the time to go and find a match to it. This is important because when doing a "foreign fill" (aka: not going to your regular salon) most places simply slap on whatever acrylic they have near instead of matching, which leads to cracking and chips. This was my biggest fear going in and Tony completely alleviated it. A few days later I was having trouble getting my dad back in his sling and I knocked one of my nails HARD. So hard that foreign acrylic would have totally chipped, but not mine!! They stayed their diamond strength, not even a blemish. I rescheduled with Tony for all the fills and pedicures I'll be needing while I'm down here. The salon itself is gorgeous and very spacious inside. There are little alcoves for pedicure chairs everywhere offering more privacy. I have never seen a setup like that but it was so perfect. Also, when I came in anyway, and it looked like a habit, the owner immediately greeted me with this big smile and I saw him going around checking to make sure everything is running smoothly throughout my appointments. Out of all the stress this trip will cause, at least I no longer have to worry about my nails. I'll come back every time I come down to see my dad in the future. read more

Nice updated nail spa in Boynton. The massage/pedi chairs were super comfy and got me nice and relaxed. Huge color selection, and tons of pretty gel options that don't require any upgrade/add on fee. My pedi came out great, but they did miss the last topcoat on one foot by accident. No biggie, I called and they got me in the next day to fix it up (and I got to sneak in another quick massage). Yesterday I came in for a soak off (I had builder gel) and an organic manicure with dazzle dry ($60 total not including tip, which I did still tipped $10 so total $70) I asked upon arrival to add a brow wax. They said no problem and didn't do it. I wasn't billed for it so no problem. Manicure was not organic. Organic products were not used at all. The manicurist (Amy) was nice enough but didn't follow the steps lists on the website. She added the scrub, lotion, and mask all at one time and it was just generic products. Nothing special and not worth $10 extra. Did not ask me if I wanted my natural nails cut. I assume because they are long she wanted to keep them long. Sloppy job. I have always loved this chain of Spas & have been a client for over seven years between the Royal Palm location and here in Boynton Beach. My 12/24 experience was incredibly disappointing as I left on Christmas Eve without my hands being done though the appointment was made 3+ weeks ago. I was seated for my 8:45 AM appointment at about 9:10 AM. The nail tech was gracious enough to recommend her favorite Christmas color but when I realized it was a color I didn't really care for as I wanted a bright red ~ I went & chose a new one quickly. Somewhere in the course of getting my toes completed there was discussion about my nails being done by someone else which I was not happy with at all. The excuse my nail tech had was that she had a 10 AM appointment & did extra things for me even though I had booked an express pedi & didn't request those added services. Plus, after the color had already been applied, I was informed that there was no matching gel so I asked for a French but also requested that I not be charged the up charge on a French. At that juncture the second nail tech decided she didn't want to take care of me. (I gathered she didn't like doing French nor cared for the idea of not getting full commission ) I was now onto my third nail tech & as I didn't know her work just wanted my nails cut ~ filed ~ cuticles trimmed. And thank goodness that's all I requested as I ended up with a few cuticles not being pushed back or trimmed plus numerous skin tabs around several nails. The worst experience at a spa ever. I was greeted by a young guy and when I asked his name he said Justin Beiber. I asked for a basic spa package which includes hot towels massage and scrub. He rushed through the treatment cut my nails too short which hurt me and was ready to paint my nails after only 10 minutes when questioning him he said he did and I said no you didnt. He was rude, rough and gave me a fake name (of course) I asked for a manager and he walked away and never came back so I walked up to the front desk and asked for a manage and was told no one is here.
