Reporting back since this salon is under new management now for a couple months and I've been very pleased! I have also been going to a man, Tony for over a year now. I haven't had a pedicure in a long time so I stopped in Tina's which happens to be close to my frequently shopped neighborhood. It was so quiet when I entered and yet there were customers scattered about. I was seated quickly and I chose my nail polish from hundreds of choices. And I relaxed! I had a pedicure on Presidents' Day. It was quiet in the salon. I had a Hispanic lady who was excessively aggressively scrubbing my toes. When she sprayEd them with a clear liquid they burned. She looked at my toes and said there is no problem. The next day both my little toes started feeling sore. I looked and there were cuts on both toes. The scrub she used sliced my skin. I had to go to the pharmacy to get some antibiotic cream. It is just starting to get better. I know I should have gone back to complain but this is more effective. read more

Kelly did my pedicure which was great she was quick and efficient. I believe holly did my gel manicure and she was equally as great and made sure each nail was perfect. The price was fair. We are snow birds and have been going here for a few years. My mom and 2 sisters made appointments. Tina's looked good on the outside and inside as far as Covid protection. Once we were seated with other regular tech ladies the rudeness came out. We are snow birds and have not been there in almost a year. Jackie who my sister has used for several years was basically told since she goes to someone else she is no longer her client. She went on to say she will not do her nails again. Beyond belief. She got up and told us and the three of us spoke to the owner Jasmine who agreed with Jackie. Wow in this day and age alienated clients. I will never go back nor will my other friends. If there was a negative 5 stars they deserve it. The older Hispanic lady did my toes aggressive and scrubbed my heels and feet for a total of 5 seconds. I got gel and was charged 40$. To walk out with dryer feet than I came in with. Then I asked them to remove 5 of my acrylics I had left. They charged me 10$ to remove 5 acrylics. and totaled me 60$ for a gel pedicure and removing 5 acrylics. The oldest blonde bitch in there gave me and my friend a deathstare the duration of our nails drying. This place has terrible customer service. I've been here before and gotten my nails done and they weren't the best but today I realized how horrible their customer service is because I walked in and asked if they were open (witch they are on the door it clearly says open until 7pm and it is 6pm) and the woman didn't answer me. So her the woman's nails she was doing had to ask her for me and she didn't even look up at me she just bluntly said no witch makes no sense when you walk in there is clearly more then 20 seats for people to be working at and she was the only person In there. They have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It's always packed they're not attentive to the customers so your waiting 10-15 before anyone asks what your getting done. I brought my cousin here to have her nails painted. The lady who did her nails was not friendly and did a terrible job. When I went to pay, I gave the receptionist my debit card and she said since the service was under $20 I couldn't use it and asked me to go to a nearby store and use the ATM. There was no sign indicating this and the sign they did have posted said if the service was under $20 then a $1 service fee would be added to credit card transactions. The staff doesn't clean their tools after use. They rinse them and put them away for other customers - gross. Tina's daughter Vie is the rudest person in the shop. She's super disrespectful to staff and customers. Once she god angry at me because I refused to pay with cash - instead I wanted to use my credit card. She said they would be charged a fee and it was best for me to use cash. WTH. I can use what I want, it's my money. She threw a tantrum and said "whatever just do what you want." Ahh yeah. I can't give my money to an establishment that doesn't care about their customers wellbeing. I can't. There are several other nail places around who are more than willing to get these coins. I've gone to Tina's twice and won't be going back...which is unfortunate. Their techs do good work, they have enough of them there, the place is packed most times. Bad part is that it's disgusting. The jars of creams and lotions that they use are left partially opened and festering by their pedi-chairs, and it's very dirty. They don't wipe them off. They also use OLD SOUP JARS to store their creams. The manicure chairs are old and cracked. The bathroom is disgusting and their towel dispenser doesn't work and they leave these industrial sized rolls of paper towels out on a table, which you have to use. The front of the shop looks nice and painted and clean, so you don't really see all of these issues until later. It took my second visit because I was with my niece the first time and was preoccupied. The back part of the shop WAS NOT painted, the walls are disgustingly dirty (and yes, you are exposed to that part as it is still part of the shop and where the bathroom and waxings are done (I didn't get that done because I wasn't going to expose myself to that filth). There are a lot of senior clients who go here en masse, and I guess it's because of the low prices. Last time I went, I was getting a mani-pedi, and the tech, although she does a good job, did not seem to notice that there was still nails and skin in the pedi-bath, when she asked me to put my feet in there and started the water. I saw the nails and skin and said, I'm not putting my feet in there, and she apologized, she hadn't noticed and said the last tech who used it was supposed to clean it. I also noticed the grime around the hardware in the pedibath. I should've just left, but I had to have it done as I was going to my son's wedding and didn't have time to find another place. I had a gel nail polish mani, and a french pedi, and it totaled $43. Again, very cheap, but it's dirty and when I told the manager, Li, about it, he didn't seem to care. Said his techs don't clean and he can't do it all on his own. Also, they don't take tips on credit cards (although they make exceptions for your first time). GOOD BYE, TINA! read more

I go to Tina's because it is very convenient to my home and fairly priced. I can usually get in on short notice and virtually all the operators do a good job on my nails. It is always jam packed, so I strongly recommend making an appointment in advance. Otherwise, you may have to wait awhile. It's a very busy place with more than 20 operators in a crowded salon. If you want a pleasant ambience and personalized assistance, I would recommend going somewhere else. If you want a decent manicure, pedicure or fill at a good price, this is a good place to go. I guess a lot of other people think so too--because there's always a crowd at Tina's. read more
