I requested the dip on my nails (Sunday @5pm) The young guy named Thomas proceeded to do my nails. As he was done doing 3 passes he proceeded to clear coat them WITHOUT doing my cuticles. Upon questioning him they told me I had to pay an extra 10$ for them to do my cuticles. Not to mention all the bare spots and sloppy work that was performed. I went to have my nails done for the first time here. The clinician who did my pedicure was very kind and professional, which I appreciated. However, the person who did my fingernails, Teri, seemed agitated and rushed. She was visibly frustrated when I took a moment to choose a nail color, and overall her customer service felt poor and unwelcoming. While my nails turned out okay, the experience didn't feel relaxing or enjoyable. I'm looking for more of a spa-like atmosphere where the staff is patient and the service feels warm and inviting. I came in as a walk in. Pedicure only. Requested a Volcano Spa Pedicure w/ ingrown services. Everyone was friendly, short wait time. Did not smell like nail chemicals, which I loved! Great sanitized Pedicure stations. The price I paid for a premium service, just didn't deliver. My nails look like no care was taken at all. had a pedicure and gel polish done, which not even two days after my gel polish peeled and had roughness around my heel still mind. I do a pedicure every six weeks. went back to make an appointment on the 3rd day. They had no space came back five days after Wanted to redo my pedicure with gel polish and they wanted to charge me for the entire job over. I told him I'm paying for my pedicure, but I I'm not paying for my gel polish they refused she said ifshe can redo my gel polish the two toes that was messed up, but if I choose to do a pedicure, which I'm paying for I pay for the gel work also Very bad customer service, and she was getting upset with me me and my kids would not be going back there anymore read more

After reading all the reviews, I thought that I would give this place a try. Upon my arrival I was greeted with what appeared to be genuine people. I was there to get a manicure and pedicure. The work that was being performed did not equate to quality or those five star reviews. At the end of my visit she tried to over charge me for work the nail tech could not perform. I came here the first time a couple of weeks ago and had a very positive experience , so I was excited to finally find a good nail salon in the downtown area. I made a follow up appointment for two weeks and it was a disaster. I couldn't believe I was at the same salon. First of all, I specifically asked for someone and she tried putting me with someone totally different at my appointment time. Then I had a signature pedicure, which definitely was not the signature pedicure according to the description at all. She barely clipped my cuticles, and it was very rushed. My nails on my hands are uneven, and I was cut twice with the drill because she was trying to hurry up, she did my nails on my hands while in the pedicure chair so I had to keep turning my back to her and was very uncomfortable. I don't see why I couldn't have just done it at the station specifically for hands. I think I spoke too soon in trying to find a good Salon. I guess I will be going back to my original salon all the way back out in Royal Palm. Oh yes, plus I originally found this salon on yelp and they were offering a 20% off coupon so I thought why not save some money , so upon check out she said it was expired and she looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about with a coupon, when the coupon clearly states the salons name and that it didn't expire until August!!!! read more

When you go there, you will see what I mean. :-) It is immaculate, clean, and doesn't have the strong chemical odor that most nail places do. This place went downhill. I use to go every two weeks for nails and toes spending over $200 every time, no complaints. I took A few months break and went in tonight and showed the male owner what i wanted, milk bath nails with encapsulated flowers on 4 fingers. He said he could do it. I offered to show him a video i found and very rudely told me no i do it my way. Once i realized He wasn't doing it right he was just going to glue flowers on the white and then clear top. But it's milk bath he needed a veryyyyy thin layer of milky white on top of the flowers so they look like they are floating in the milk not just sitting on the nail. He told me no and that's not how you do it and refused to do the white. I showed the video and he told me i cant Afford that nail. I said What? He said it's 80-100 extra a nail and he knows I'd never pay that and proceeded to tell me i can't afford the nails while laughing. So i left with white nails and he didn't even use extra acrylic to make up for the nails he was about to design so they are thinner than press ons. And they are regular length almond and charged me for long length and would not let me see a break down of cost. He actually thought I was going to tip him and when he realized I didn't he started laughing at me and that's when I told him off and stood up for myself. I sat there in silence the whole time, so uncomfortable with having to have that arrogant disgusting human being touch my hands while he was yelling i can't afford those nails and i was finally just Done. If he wasn't talented enough to do the nail art he should have said it from the beginning instead of blaming his lack of talent on me not being able to afford it. They weren't like this when they first opened, they pretended to be nice and used quality products. Now it's all cheap Amazon stuff and their staff keeps quitting. Don't waste your money here give it to someone who appreciates their customers. read more

From the moment I walked in the door on my first trip to Tippi I was greeted with a friendly smile and a big "hello". I have been serviced by practically all the staff and find each one enthusiast to make sure I am happy and pleased by their work. I have been back faithfully since that first day.
