Came here for dinner so my poutine obsessed daughter could get her poutine fix for dinner. She ordered the Classic poutine as she usually does and a Virgin Blue Hawaiian drink. I ordered an individual size Baja Nomad Nachos. I also ordered a Virgin Witch's Rock drink. We also used up a few coupons that we had for free tacos and ordered Ancho Chicken Taco, Grilled Basa Fish Taco, and Garden Veggie Taco. Forgot to tell the server "no cilantro" so ummm...food wasn't quite as good as usual but I'm not deducting points for that cuz that was our own mistake for forgetting to say "no cilantro." (Big sigh) It's such a pain though to have to keep on remembering to say that everywhere we go. Why don't restaurants realize that not everyone likes cilantro and make it a policy to bring it up with customers? Why don't they remind the customers that there's cilantro in a dish and then ask if the customer is OK with it? Anyone reading this right now is probably thinking I should just get over it and deal with it. I'm really just venting I suppose. My family came here to have brunch. Great menu and it wasn't crowded when we came, at 11 though it was raining hard. Their specialties seem to be the pulled pork and the bacon. Lots of Benedict's so I naturally had to have one. The good - the meats are really good especially the pulled pork. Very tender and flavourful. The bacon is decent. Altogether the Benedict's are decent though next time I'll focus on the pulled pork. The egg I asked for medium - not really runny. Though that's a really small criticism. read more

Raglans is one of my favourite spots on the North Shore. We went for late lunch so we didn't get any drinks but make sure to try their margarita and hurricane-sized cocktails. I tried: Smoked Gouda & Confit Mushrooms Quesadillas $15 Falafel Snacks $11 The quesadilla had a decent serving of cheese and mushrooms. I just wish it came with more salsa and sour cream. The falafels were super cute and delicious! The inside of the falafels was purple. They offer both inside and patio seating. Their patio seating is available almost the entire year. The only downside is free street parking, but that's a general downside of going to Lower Lonsdale/Shipyards. read more

A long time since my last review of Raglans and a lot has changed. Thanks to construction outside along Lonsdale there is, during the Summer, a lot more seatings. I've also found the service inside to be delightful, fast and the food is outstanding. This is based purely upon Brunch service. I leave the gym at 10 AM​ on Friday and choose between a number of great brunch places. While a few have faltered​, Raglans remains strong. They have creative options in comparison and the quality is top notch. read more

We came here because of the awesome eggs benny pictures we saw on Yelp. This place did not disappoint! The ambience is very laid back and it was totally affordable. I got the Hippie Hash without poached eggs or Hollandaise sauce. I neglected to tell them no cheese but to my pleasant surprise, it came without the cheese! They intuited that I am vegan and made an executive decision to leave these cheese off which I so appreciated! And the hash was incredibly delicious and JUST the right amount of food! My husband got the Local Hash and love it. Said the eggs were cooked perfectly and the Hollandaise was delicious. The server was really kind and helpful with the menu. +.5 for service I visited Raglans for my first night in Vancouver, as I arrived late night and it was the only affordable place open at that time within walking distance of my hotel. The interior of this restaurant is quite dark, as there was minimal lighting inside. The wall paintings looked like I was transported to some Hawaiian beach at night, and the seats reflected that as well. The seats were somewhat uncomfortable, but nothing too much of a concern. I ordered the cheeseburger poutine and a sangria. The sangria was huge! There was absolutely no way I can finish it, so I ended up sharing with my parents. The poutine was not bad, but the cheese used was not cheese curds, which I unfortunately thought it would come with considering the price I paid. The meal was definitely good (the fries, gravy, and pepperoni were all great), but the price factor was definitely a bit of a turn off. Service was great, and it was nice that the lady managed to start a decent conversation with us on where we came from and where we're planning to visit in the city. read more

My mom and I stopped in for brunch on Christmas Eve after we found out that another place was closed for the day. Even though this wasn't our original plan, I'm so glad it worked out this way because Raglans was awesome! The vibe is really cool, and decorated like a tiki hut. The menu is unique, and it was so difficult to decide! We both got a hash, which have the same ingredients.. except for the meat. My mom got the pulled pork, which had a really good flavor.. and I got the Locals Hash with bacon, sausage, and ham. Their homemade hollandaise sauce had such an awesome flavor! Their breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy. I also got a drink with passionfruit juice, crushed strawberries, and rum. We were just visiting Vancouver.. but I'm already craving it again. Went to Raglans last night for some late night nibbles after the hockey game. What an adorable place. The waitress was very sweet and fast, and the food...mmm. We had the falafel bites with tzatziki, garden pesto quesadilla, and the roasted garlic and goat cheese. Amazingly delish and all made by the lone chef in the kitchen. It's a small place but most the tables were full. The wait time between ordering and eating was just right. Love this amazing surf shop style place for those that love a chill vibe, where the staff are friendly and easy going, the food is usually great and you can be in and out quick or you can hang out with friends too. I love their hashes and their burgers the most but most of the food is good to great. If you want to drink at night, they got some big interesting drinks too. A friend of mine discovered my love and passion for potatoes. So he took me to the beautiful north Vancouver to enjoy some brunch at Raglan's. The decor wasn't what I was expecting but it was a very chill and laid back atmosphere - tiki men, surfboards, colourful chalk drawings and bouncy booths. I ordered the Biker RaggaMuffins, which is a Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict. I was worried there wouldn't be enough meat on my plate but when my dish came out and I saw the generous helping of pulled pork, it set my fears ablaze. Every bite I took was a mouthful of super packed flavours of: tender BBQ pulled pork, gooey yolky pooched egg, chewy muffin and sweet, creamy hollandaise sauce. To top off this already delicious dish, the whole reason my friend brought me here: Double fried pan fries! The outside was a lovely golden colour of skin that left a beautiful crunch on your teeth but the insides were a hot fluffy nugget of yummy potato. Along with some ketchup (my must-have condiment) it was perfection! Overall, I was full to the brim with my meal and luckily Raglan's is next to Lonsdale Quay, so I was able to walk it off around the eclectic market and beautiful water and city views. Service was friendly and efficient. If I'm ever back in North Van, I'd definitely go back for more - especially to enjoy the outside patio once it's warmer too! read more

Not impressed at all! Poor service. Staff seemed generally uninterested, like we were an inconvenience. Poor response to problems with the food (A hair in the burger - twice. Undercooked eggs. Cold bacon. Couldn't manage a fried egg , only scrambled or poached - really?) Asked for a new order for the under cooked eggs - they brought out a poached egg on a plate - no muffin, no sauce, no cheese, just the egg. I made a reservation (the day before) for a group of 15 for a birthday brunch and Raglans completely accommodated us. The food didn't take too long to serve, and we were all pretty much served at the same time. The food was delicious and at a good portion. With the laid back ambiance of the restaurant, I was expecting a simple breakfast that I could make at home, but it was much more flavourful and fancier than that. This is the second time I thought it would be a "Bon's Off Broadway" type of breakfast at Raglans but it's not at all. I also tried the shrimp and avocado eggs Benedict and, of course, It couldn't taste bad. The overall menu has so many interesting options that I took awhile to choose mine. I love, loooove Raglan's. We generally go there for Saturday brunch, 1) because everything I've tried is really good and 2) they serve free coffee on Saturdays (go for the press of cinnamon). Standouts on the menu are their burgers, the pulled pork hash and their ridiculously sized drinks if you're in for some late night fun. The servers are always friendly and awesome and I love the atmosphere. Have never been to the restaurant, however, I frequently have their Ancho chicken poutine delivered. It is the best poutine I have ever tasted!! It is a meal in itself. It always arrives piping hot and ready to please. I really like the packaging. It comes in a large cardboard container inside a plain paper bag. No napkins, utensils or other useless paraphenalia. After all if it's being delivered one can assume that the receiver possess these items. Less waste. Once I discovered this poutine I have searched no further. I plan to visit sometime this summer in person!! read more

Every time someone wants to go somewhere to eat, I suggest raglans. It's my everyday mood. Bring me a hurricane bowl or bring me death. The veggie poutine is absolute fire and can be made vegan by removing the cheese. It's so good and full of flavour without feeling obscenely healthy like most vegan food. read more

Breakfast here is bomb! They make their own ketchup and sausage patties and you can't go wrong with any of the items. In terms of drinks they do really fun cocktails and I feel like I'm on vacation. It seems like all their cocktails come with an umbrella. They also do large fishbowl style drinks for sharing (or not!). Beers are full size (non of that sleeve shit) and the wine selection is cheap (price wise) and unpretentious. I've only had dinner here once. Friday Night Late Night Date Night yet again. I wanted pizza, but since Andreas was out of the question, my husband suggested here... I would rather come to the North Shore for date night than Downtown. There's always free parking and if not, it's a short walk to find free parking... I don't go out that late because Netflix has X-Files and as an old married couple I have to go home and watch that... I just want to eat. Lots. Nothing more. My husband has been coming here like three name changes ago. He called it The End and he used to play shows there. This places is tiny. I can't imagine anyone being able to play an instrument here... it's like the District next door. I am hearing everyone's conversations. We sit at the table facing all the other tables. It's a little higher up but I didn't want to be at the table right by the door. It kept opening, I'm cold... man, I'm grumpy. So we get the Baja Layer Dip to start and we share the BBQ Chicken and Bacon Pizza. The dip is really good. Did I ever mention I like beans? This was so good, but I didn't get a spicy heat from it. The chips were dusted with something and it was good. I loved everything about it. Kinda similar to the ones you can get at Save On (I love those so this is a compliment... ) but better... I kept eating it even after my husband lost interest. I didn't think I was gonna love the pizza when it came out. I was kinda hoping for a thicker crust... like a yeasty bread dough crust, but instead it came out on what looked like a tortilla. These are my thoughts on this pizza: Booo... how could you do this to me Hubby??? You know I want pizza and this is what you get me... I can't even look at it... oh my this tastes good. Fun, funky decor... a surfer video on a big screen was welcome as the service was extremely slow, and the server seemed to not really give a damn. Overall, the food was quite good and I don't think I've ever enjoyed nachos more. OMFG there was so much cheese and toppings i had a hard time finding the chips! The Jamaican styled wings were unusual and delicious. We also shared the pulled pork sandwich, which we felt was so-so. On the pricey side considering the decor and level of service. We used to love this place! Been here MANY times before as my friend lives just a few blocks away. (We visit a couple times a month from Seattle) We were excited to sit at the new patio, unfortunately there were other changes in the kitchen that were dreadful. I will say that our server was lovely. Helpful, and polite. I hate to leave a bad review, but I think it's a good idea so that others know if they are choosing where to eat. My daughter's nachos were brought to us all burnt and very, VERY little cheese. The nachos are usually my favorite thing. We had to send them back, I couldn't believe they brought them to us all burnt brown like that. The new nachos weren't burnt but still had very little cheese. I made my daughter a separate dinner when we got home. It was super sad for her. I got a burger that tasted salty as all get out. Almost too salty to eat. They did have organic wine and my boyfriend said his burrito was fine. Delicious burgers! I'm a pescatarian, but still they have fabulous Tuna burgers. Large and flavourful. They are a bit more expensive than the average burger joint, but well worth it. I've been here a fair amount with several buddies, and everyone is always amazed at the size of the burgers. The service is usually quiet good too. They are not overly friendly, but kind. Only a few times have I had either slow or rude service, but those were probably off days. They have other food than just burgers, like the soft tacos which were very good. The drinks here are amazing, if you like mix drinks, and you can get a very large cup of any of them. I saw a few customers order big Blue Hawaiians. Overall, great place, particularly people who want to experience some of the best burgers in Vancouver! Often the place might be full and you need to wait or come back later. read more

Tons of interesting drinks on the menu and a relaxed casual atmosphere. I love how the front tables have windows that open onto the patio. The theme in here is Tiki slash sports bar? I'm not a fan of tv's in restaurants but that's just my preference. The menu had quite a bit to choose from, the burgers looked amazing and HUGE. Yellowfin tuna burgers with grilled pineapple? WOw. I opted for the prawn slaw salad which was HUMONGOUS! But amazing! The mango was awesome paired with the tandoori seasoned prawns. Boyfriend had the thin crust pizza, pepporini, mushroom. The crust was UBER thin and blew me away. Prices are totally fair. Service was really good. All in all we'd def go back. My only TEENY TINY suggestion is to just update a little inside, maybe clean it up a bit but that's me being picky. read more
