Build-your-own bowl (regular size), with smoked tofu, daily salad, and tomato lentil curry (all vegan)
    Matt B.

Very tasty, fresh, healthy-ish, high-quality grab 'n go food. They have lots of vegan options here, which is what drew me in. They have signature bowls or you can build your own for the same price: $12 plus tax for a regular and $15 plus tax for a large. You choose a protein (smoked tofu, crispy tofu, or chickpeas for the vegan options), plus 2 additional items (I did a tomato lentil curry and house salad). They seem to assemble everything relatively fresh, so it takes a few minutes to be ready; my order was ready in under 10 mins. I got the regular size, which was on the small side but worked for a light lunch. The lentil curry was especially nice, being hearty, nicely textured and spiced. The salad was only decent. The smoked tofu was nice and firm, and plenty smoky. Overall, very solid spot for affordable, quick, healthy good. Recommended.

    Chicken bowl!

I love this place! I always get the chicken bowl with pilaf and spicy aioli, it's phenomenal! The flavours compliment each other so well! I highly recommend it. The front of house worker was so patient and kind. The first time I went here, she walked me through the menu and helped me place my order. Her recommendation was incredible!

Regular size Porchetta with Root Vegetables.

Tried out this eatery over the weekend and I did gobble it up. The Porchetta with Root Vegetables tided me over nicely. It was paired with a lime aioli which was perfect for my palette. Note that this porchetta had no crispy skin (if that is something you are expecting). Portion was on the smaller size so I would come on a day when you are not famished.

Pork with rice pilaf, greens, and honey mustard

Prices were a bit high relative to the portion size. As context I am an American with a big appetite. The quality & flavor profiles of the foods -- I chose the pork with rice pilaf & greens -- was exceptional, and service was prompt. For a locally owned GF and DF and vegan friendly restaurant using seasonal ingredients, you owe it to yourself to check this place out. It all looks pretty damn tasty!!

A place so good, we gobbled it up before all the photos were taken. . Food for Thought: Did you know people with diets low in fat are more susceptible to malabsorption of vitamins A, D, E, K, as well as neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease? In turn these deficiencies can impact digestion and absorption of other nutrients and the overall exacerbation of health. Don't fret, @gobblevancouver has you covered. The bowls comes perfectly drizzled with just enough oil to get that satisfying mouthfeel and taste, without making you feel heavy. Remember, everything in moderation folks. . Food Review: Gobble is a customizable bowl establishment, for $12 you can get a regular and $15 for a large. You can pick from a variety of proteins, 2 sides and a sumptuous sauce. After mixing and matching 4 different bowls, we recommend you definitely try the fried chickpea, they are crisp and golden, it put chickpea in a whole new light for me. However, we were blown away by how juicy and tender the chicken was. It was incredible. Of all the sides, if you are looking to be stuffed, we'd recommend the lentils mixed with the roots (sweet potato, potato and carrot) its a great complimentary meal with iron and protein. If you are looking for a lighter meal, we'd recommend the daily salad, as @gobblevancouver tries to support local as often as possible, and we love that . DID YOU ALSO KNOW THEY HAVE GLUTEN-FREE OPTION? Hello? We love inclusivity . Honestly, there was no winner for the sauces, you have to try them all. They are all so different that it really depends. Salad verde was my bias, but for an extra dollar you can add extra sauce (which is what I'll most likely do). The store opens up beautifully with tables outside to appreciate the gorgeous weather, and pairs perfectly with the meal. At $12, you can't go wrong with a handmade, fresh meal that leaves you nice and full. This posting was approved by 3 nutritional scientists, 2 food scientists and a Food, Nutrient and Health major . Here's to future dining with the foodies of tomorrow and thank you for having us @gobblevancouver. We could not have been more satisfied.

It's pretty cute inside, it's not a sit down restaurant where you wait for the waitress to take your order. There's a takeout counter where you order first and then decide to sit. This is my takeout order of porchetta, pilaf, roots, and black bean sauce. It tastes pretty good like 4/5. The main problem I have is that it cost nearly $19, including tip. I feel like for almost $20 you should get more substance. I do feel good and not greasy after eating though.

Gobble is the place for Healthy hearty meals, to go or eat in. I love that you can build your own bowl and everything is gluten and dairy free. The owner is the chef who's behind the counter and in the kitchen monitoring the quality of the food, at the same time welcoming customers and being super helpful explaining to clients about the options. This is definitely the go to place for a quick bite on 4th if you want a healthy meal without breaking your wallet. Their regular size bowl is $12. No pictures today as I am just waiting for take out and typing this review but check out their Instagram for daily updates and pictures if you want to see something visual.

I got their steak with root veggies and salad delivered to my office. Salsa verde was my sauce. Portion size was ok. I wish there were more meat for $15. My favourite was the root veggies. Can't get enough of those! I'd recommend trying this place if you're feeling for something healthy but don't want to sway away from meat options. 'cause salads can get boring.....

The porchetta here is delicious! Gobble is a clean minimalist casual restaurant perfect for takeout. The food is uncomplicated and healthy. The porchetta is super yummyyy and the chickpeas is surprisingly delicious too!! Also love the pilaf rice and the raisins in it.

Cute healthy take style cafe. Custom bowls with simplistic options, soups and such. My gf loves this place so I gave it a try. I didn't find the menu to exciting and was annoyed they had no soup left at 3pm. The bowls are super simple... pick your protein, two bases products (salad, lentils ect) and sauce. The ingredients are fresh, healthy and simple. My bowl was good, but not that exciting. It was also very small. I ordered a regular sized custom bowl with chicken, salad and lentils. $13, plus taxes and tip. For $15 I thought it was really small. I can get more food with more options from a place like Freshii. I would maybe go back to try the soup because it sounded really good. More sauce options and sides like Goat cheese and avocado would be a good idea.

Their "brunch burger" is a major missed opportunity though... this really should have a fried egg on it. You could possibly add an egg from the ala carte section of the menu, but those cost $3, so you'd be looking at $27 for a burger and a half a cup of fried potatoes. That's insanely expensive. Currently the brunch burger has two small patties which have a tendency to overcook and become dry. My patties were well-done despite me asking for medium - don't even ask if the kitchen can't deliver. Not sure what makes that a brunch burger, but it would be much better if those two patties were combined into one, and a fried egg was added, while staying below a $24 price point expensive burgers in Vancouver. Other restaurants can do it.... Oh, the other disappointing thing is that the card reader defaults to tips at 18, 25, and 28%. Not cool - we already pay servers high wages in BC, tipping should be 10% if not eliminated altogether. 28%? No thanks!

A big thank you to Mallory and the kitchen staff! This review is 3 months late, but even a few months later, we remember our meal like it was yesterday and can't wait to return the next time we're in Vancouver. Getting to experience a Michelin Guide-recommended vegan restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip! We had (from the June 2025 menu): the Bread, the Broccolini, the Chickpea Tofu, and the Potato Cavatelli. Not a single crumb, morsel, drizzle of sauce, or even pea was left on the plates! Every bite was so full of flavor and decadent, we were so sad when the meal was over ;) The stand-out though was the Chickpea Tofu, the best tofu we've ever had and it seemed to just melt in your mouth. Service was exceptional, super dialed in and genuinely enthusiastic when explaining dishes without making it feel scripted. The food leans playful but it's backed by serious technique. Every single course was delicious and I could talk about each course but to keep things short here are some of my personal standouts: The "cheeseburger 2050" was the moment everyone talks about for a reason. It's built around elk tartare with layered components that mimic a classic cheeseburger, and somehow it genuinely tastes like biting into a cheeseburger. The bread alone deserves a shout. Soft, slightly sweet, and just rich and toasted enough to pull everything together. The wild part is how convincingly it eats like a cheeseburger. Not just similar, but actually triggers that same flavor memory. "Off the Coast" was another favorite, super clean and fresh. It leaned into ocean flavors with a clean, briny freshness, but the cabbage is what stood out for me personally. It had this perfect balance of crunch and tenderness, that made the whole dish pop. "Understory" completely surprised me. It was incredibly silky with a deep, savory flavor that felt like it had butter and cheese folded into it. But hearing that there was no cheese made it even more impressive. The braised cheek in "Low and Slow" was exactly what you want from that kind of dish. Deeply caramelized, intensely savory, and so tender it barely held together. It melted immediately but still had enough structure to feel substantial, not mushy. I was honestly nervous about the griddled goat since I'm not the biggest fan of goat cheese, but this dish was super balanced and approachable, rather than funky, and I ended up really enjoying it. Courses moved at a steady, comfortable pace, with just enough breathing room to appreciate each dish. From my visit, nothing felt rushed or dragged. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys thoughtful, modern tasting menus that play with familiar flavors in unexpected ways.

I got a beer and wifey got an interesting drink that came with a small chocolate to alter the Taste. Called The night shift. After tasting the drink without the chocolate and then with the chocolate there was a distinct difference in taste which made it fun. You kinda get two drinks in one. Now to the interior of the place.. The decor of the restaurant was dark and black in color, with dark tones and interesting modern ambient lighting. A very classy and chic feeling as we sat at our table. The wait staff and host were also very friendly and spot on with service not feeling pretentious but welcoming and relaxed. Let's go through the tasting menu we had. We did add the accelerated or excellerated version of the menu which added caviar, black truffle, and wagyu A5 to perspective dishes. This was an additional cost to the base tasting menu. Cheeseburger 2050, the torn bread super crispy flaky and oily but not in a bad way. Perfect vessel to add in the deconstructed elk burger, caramelized onion puree as well as dipping into the mimolette cheese sauce. The sauce was super creamy and fluffy light in texture eating everything in combination was fun and delicious. A bit heavy feeling as well but this was the plan as after eating this first course we were given two small pieces of lemon rind with a jelly molded onto it. This was a lemony palate cleanser which was fresh and bright removing any heaviness you might have felt from the burger 2050. Bait and Switch. The XO on the cured/ smoked tuna food contain a beef element which when listening to the description my wife picked up on as she is allergic to beef. This info was already given to the restaurant and substitute for the beef dish was already made but I guess this slipped through. The waitress realized(all the wait staff appeared to be very aware of this info which was a great detail for fixing issues as we had here) right away and took this dish away and had the kitchen make one sans xo which was very fast. The shaved foie on top of the oyster melted as you took it into your mouth. Combined with the fresh oyster it was a interesting play with textures and flavors which was very nice. The smoked/cured tuna with shiso was tasty but I felt the shiso overpowered the flavor profile on a whole. Aged with Grace The duck was meaty and tasty not fatty. The sauce and daikon added a tartness and crispy texture to the entire bite of each piece of duck. There was also a bite size fried dish with i believe a froisgrois mousse on top. This was decadent and a very rich bite but flavorful. Off the Coast accel add came with caviar. This addition i do believe added to the flavor profile of the dish. The briny taste from the caviar in addition to the smoked lobster bisque and accompanied seafood was nice and fresh. Under Story This accelerated version came with the shaved truffle. I did not notice it but perhaps if I had a version without i might be able to distinguish between the two. This dish was delicious and tasted earthy which may be from the truffle. Over all this was a nice hearty down to earth flavor profile which was yummy. Slow and Low Wifeys sub for beef was a poached salmon and my accelerated version instead of striploin was Alberta A5 wagyu. The braised beef cheek to my though was the star of this dish. Super beefy and flavorful, crisp but tender as well and hit all the marks i like in terms of beef flavuuur. Griddle Goat Very interesting dessert option, the sour dough vessel for the goat cheesecake and white Chocolate was a play of textures reminiscent of a crispy grilled cheese. Very tasty goat cheesecake and Quince. Lovely texture on the tongue. Far from the Tree This dessert was very nice, the miso apple caramel for me was the highlight of this dish. Slightly salty from the miso but sweet as it was a caramel... super delicious. Uncooked crisps were a delightful texture breaker adding crunch to the soft financier and ice cream. I thoroughly enjoyed this dessert. Final bite A cryocookie which was basically a frozen concoction of ingredients frozen into a cookie. Very hard to bite at first but then it just melts in your mouth like ice cream. As it warms up it gets easier to bite into but the texture play was amazing. Overall a very nice and special dinner. Staff were amazing and food was an experience. Definitely worth a try.
