1 Star - Disgraceful "Dine Out" Experience I came here for the $35 Dine Out menu and left utterly disgusted and disappointed. The cauliflower appetizer was ok for the first few bites, but quickly turned soggy once you got past the top layer. I ate a few pieces and gave the rest away. The burger was a mess. I requested lettuce instead of a bun, and they provided two flimsy pieces on each side that immediately disintegrated from the heat of the patty. It was impossible to eat without a knife and fork. The patty itself was small, dry, and very clearly frozen. Not good at all. And then the "dessert." Two frozen Costco macadamia nut white chocolate cookies with some condensed milk dip. Anyone who's had these cookies knows how overwhelmingly sweet they are. I took one tiny bite and gave the rest away. Charging for frozen Costco cookies--probably costing them 50 cents--is honestly shameful. Shame on you Bun 4 Burger! Shame! Shame! I complained and asked for the cookies to be removed from the bill. They refused and offered a replacement dessert, which I declined. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff made excuses and defended what I can only describe as unacceptable business practices. After a mandatory 18% tip, the total came to over $46. A complete waste of money and time. I will never return. read more

Bin 4 Burger Lounge is a fixture on south Granville Street. My friends and I have been coming here for quick bites or late night eats for more than 6 years. Burgers are juicy, moist (good ratio of high to lean meat) and full of flavour. Never had a bad one in the past 6 years that I've been coming. Choice of sides are salad or fries. Fries are good when it comes piping hot from the kitchen! Can get busy when there is a play at the near by Stanley Theatre. On my last visit, we had the My Big Fat Greek Burger (lamb. Olive tapenade, goat cheese, garlic and topped off with lettuce and tomatoes) and The Breakfast Club (bison, pork, chorizo with white cheddar, smoked bacon, guacamole and topped off with an over easy egg). My friend and I split and both were delicious. I also had the Peach Basil Smashed (zero-proof) and it was refreshing. The drink is from the Happy Hour menu which we just managed to slide into. Service that night was great. Never had a bad experience here. Pay parking on Granville street but some free side street parking. Happy Hour is from 3-5pm. Came here with a group of friends. Food was okay, service was awful. My friend and I wanted to each order a burger and share it with one another by having half of the other's burger. My friend didn't want bacon on her's, but I wanted bacon on mine. We asked for the bacon to be put on a side plate, so I can add it to the burger after it's cut and shared. She didn't want the grease to touch the burger. We were clear with the server and he acknowledged the request. When the food came out, there was no bacon. I asked what happened and he acted like we never requested it, and that my burger didn't come with bacon and that if I want bacon, he will charge me. But her burger came with bacon, and he knew we were sharing as he had our burgers cut in half rather than open faced (we didn't request this). He was very passive aggressive. Our whole group was a bit taken aback after he left. We confirmed amongst ourselves that we weren't daydreaming and that the conversation did take place when we were placing our order. It may seem like a small thing, but his nonchalant attitude was not appreciated. What's the point in dining at a restaurant to get gaslit? Might as well make an effort making gourmet burgers at home since I can cook or hit up any other restaurant on that street to avoid this experience. This ain't it! read more

First time visiting, 3 of us went in myself, my wife, and my sister. My sister had the "Dirty Bourbon" burger, which she quite enjoyed. My wife had the "Off the Hook" burger which she says she might order again if her order was heavily modified, but never again as it is on the menu. I had their 1/2 Lb signature "Heritage Burger" with cheese, Which was both very dry and very bland (I had to request additional sauces just to make it edible). My friend and I wanted to try something new and so we came here for dinner. They had quite a selection of burgers and vegan burgers. Bonus, that you can switch from a bun to a lettuce stack for free. All burgers came with sides such as fries and salad. There was also a choice of dip. I went with the mushroom burger which had a generous portion of mushroom. The spiced fries tasted great with the truffle aioli. The only drawback was the takeout. I came back a week later to do a take-out and was very disappointed. We got 4 sauces as they each come with sauce. We got the bacon aioli, chipotle aioli, roasted jalapeno aioli and the curry aioli. The chipotle and the roasted jalapeno aoili was our favourite. The deep fried pickles were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The onion rings were huge and breaded lightly. Fried to perfection. The dirty bourbon burger was heavy and half is definitely enough to make you full. The onion ring on the inside didn't add anything texturally as it got lost in the pork and chorizo. We ordered: - Mint lemonade - Ginger beer (Cock and Bull, a personal favourite) - Bin 4 house salad (We split a small, which was adequate for two, since we also had the burgers.) - Black and blue burger (upgraded to half pound, fries) - Bison burner burger (with onion rings) - Sauces: lime tomatillo, Piri Piri (both too sweet, not hot) The burgers, which were the main event, were quite satisfying. The greeting was slightly off putting. They put us on a wait list, though most tables were not occupied, so it should have been clear that we would definitely get seated soon. We went for a walk to wait to be called. As expected, it didn't take super long. Why we went through all that is a little mystifying, but it worked out okay. The table service was excellent. They have a late night special where burgers are 50% off with purchase of any drink for seatings after 9pm. The operative word is seatings - it doesn't apply to a burger you order after 9 if you've been there since 8). Best to get there a few minutes before 9 and let them know you want to get on the late night list. I came here with some friends to take advantage of this. We came on a Sunday night and there was plenty of space, but apparently this is not usually the case, so we arrived at 8:45 to be safe. The burger meals are very customizable: there are tons of menu options with different meats or vegetarian/vegan options and different toppings, you can choose between the burger on a bun or on lettuce, fries or salad as a side, and choice of dipping sauce. Lots of substitutions can be made for free, like you can change out any of the meat patties for tofu or swap some of the cheeses, and things like additional toppings, GF buns, or different sides are available for a charge. The variety and openness to substitutions is really impressive. I got the Holy Mole burger (May special) with tofu instead of chicken, and I'd eaten a lot during the day and wasn't feeling a big meal, I got it on the lettuce stack. I expected it to be a situation where big pieces of lettuce acted as a bun that you could use to pick up the "burger" and eat it, but it was actually served as the patty and toppings served over a bed of lettuce, like a salad, which was funny since I also got the side salad. It wasn't anything special, but was a solid meal that satisfied what I needed at the time. The house mole sauce was good for a non-Mexican restaurant, the vegetables were all fresh enough, and there was a good amount of tofu. On a bun it would be excellent. The side salad was very basic but there was nothing wrong it. Even though what I got was just a big salad, it was an amazing deal at the half off price (only $10!), and the same meal on the burger bun would have been worth the full price. I really want to come back with an appetite and get a proper burger, and will probably up my rating. The drink menu is also very extensive. There's a good beer selection, wine, and plenty of specialty cocktails and mocktails. I had the Lum Rum Mai Tai - a nonalcoholic mai tai. I was pretty impressed with the taste of the nonalcoholic Lum Rum, I just wished the drink had been made stronger. It was a long wait for the burgers to come out. The Bin 4 Burger Lounge is located on South Granville St. There is a great outdoor patio with heaters. Inside, is a mix of table and bar seating as well as comfortable booths. We stopped in to give Bin 4 a try and discovered one of the best burger places in Vancouver. There was a bit of a wait list but within 5 minutes we were notified our table was ready. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The service was great! We enjoyed the "Big Spenny" featuring Wagyu beef, real cheddar, smoked bacon and all the trimmings. The burger was outstanding and was served with fries and a great strawberry goat cheese salad! We noticed that 7 days a week, if you dine after 9 pm, all burgers are $11! I am not always in Vancouver. Bin 4 is on the Support Local BC website. We bought a $50 giftcard on the website to provide cashflow to local restaurants during Covid. We were in the area and we decided to come to Bin 4 for dinner. We came quite early and realized that they have Happy Hour every day. B got the Pilsner beer for $5 as one of their Happy Hour special. We had Bin 4 in Kelowna and we loved the restaurant. We wanted to compare Bin4 with the Kelowna location. We both felt that the burgers at the Kelowna location seemed to be a bit bigger. I don't think the Vancouver location has the late night special. Anyways, I got the Bin 9 Big Spenny Burger. It was very delicious. I felt that it wasn't anything very special. It tasted like a regular cheese burger with bacon. Yes the burger is made with Wagyu beef but again the taste wasn't like wow. It was tasty but it was not wow. The patty was also a bit dry too. B got the Bin 96 Bison Burger. He said it was good. We finished our meal with a strawberry cheesecake. We really liked the strawberry cheesecake. It was unique. The strawberry was infused with Brandy and covered in chocolate. The strawberry cheesecake had a mousse texture. It was light and at the bottom/the crust was chocolate crumble. Super tasty. The décor here is very different. Vancouver real estate is expensive and the layout is completely different from Kelowna. They made sure every space is used efficiently. Went after watching Jersey Boys musical at the Stanley nearby as anytime I get ready food from Meinhardt next door, have been keen to try this burger lounge. We made it in time for happy hour and ordered a glass of their red wine which was an Open Merlot. I ordered their off the hook tuna burger and got the half fries and half salad as an up charge. If you show your Stanley theater ticket, you get 15% off your food (not the happy hour wine as excludes any specials). I enjoyed the tuna burger which was rare sesame crusted ahi tuna, crispy wontons, sriracha cilantro sauce, fresh cilantro, olive tapenade, chipotle aioli, lettuce. I did not want tomato or onion. The fries also come with a dipping sauce and I ordered the cilantro aioli. The burger was very good but as for the service and the red wine, both could have been better. We came here twice within 1 week and I thought I should post on Yelp. Both visits were good with staff wearing masks and we hand to give our contact info. Funny we sat the same table both visits. I will speak about what I ordered. First visit I ordered Bin 4 Salad with tofu. I have to say this is one of tastiest salad I ever had. I loved the lemon champagne honey vinaigrette. It was not too heavy and made the salad so tasty I ate every green The 2nd visit I ordered the Bin 136 Delizioso which is chicken breast burger with basil pesto, tomato, balsamic reduction, basil aoili and bocconcini on gluten free bun. It was very tasty however it was very wet and picking the burger up for the first bite everything slid out and shocked me fell out my hands upside down. I As well the bottom bun was soggy. Fail! Thank goodness I carry hand wipes. I had to eat the burger with a knife and fork. But the flavours were really good. I guess GF was not as structured as a normal bun. My hubby said the Bin 11- wild mushroom burger is his fave so far. I would come back for other items as they have an extensive menu and they accommodate dietary requests. read more

My husband and I took our 4 boys here after a trip to the Granville market. We were so glad to find somewhere with a kid menu and not a super long wait. The food was great I got the Big Dipper burger which was delicious large portion size! My son got the Greek Lamb Burger and he says it was the juiciest burger he has ever had. Great place for burgers. Originally this restaurant started out in Victoria (they have like 3 locations I think on the island) and this place has been around for almost 2 years I believe. I was a huge fan of this place years ago when I was living on the island. Their burger patties are really good. Cooked well and flavourful. It's a nice touch that when you sit down they give u a couple of in house made potato chips. This visit we ordered a side of the house made potato chips which include 2 dips. Had the garlic ans truffle aioli (both were so good, I think I may have liked the garlic one just a bit more). Split a heritage burger (added guacamole and mushrooms with fries and the jalapeño dip (this was my favourite dip of the 3). Also shared the ahi tuna salad. It was cooked nicely and the portion size was generous. All in all this a great place to get your burger fix without having to lower your standards by going to a fast food joint. Prices are fair and service is pretty solid...although I have noticed from time to time the hosts seem a bit spaced out (not really focused or efficient). I would give it a 5 if the kitchen can master perfectly crisp French fries. They are good but I've had better at their other locations (same thing can be said to their onion rings-I didn't order onion rings here because the last 2 times I have gotten them they weren't really good-just lacked flavour and wasn't crispy in comparison to ones I've had in Victoria). (And dine-in!) My favourite is the Dirty Bourbon, which features their Premium BC beef patty and a crispy onion ring. Also on the burger is a pork, chorizo, onion, and red pepper sauté, chipotle bourbon bbq sauce, and chipotle aioli. Mouth-watering deliciousness! If you haven't been to Bin4 before, their fries and dips are legendary. The selection of dips range from garlic aioli to truffle or jalapeno. They even make their own ketchup in house! Pro-tip, if you want to be a bit healthier, you can order half fries and half house salad, a little bit of everything. Since it was delivery, I had to reheat the fries, but they ended up still being super crispy. The patty was also a little drier than I recall, but still really flavourful. Decent and reasonably priced burger joint in South Granville. Parking is available on the side streets after 2200. Any earlier and one has to feed the meter gods. Speaking of 2200, after this time there is a 1 hour window (they close 2300 where all burgers are half priced with drink purchase. Free parking AND half priced food. Double win. The interior is modern and classy. Makes sense, since the place is reasonably new. Staff were friendly and helpful. The burgers are around the $15 range (regular price), which is reasonable for a joint like this. Of course, half price makes the deal pretty awesome. As an appetizer they also provide a small bowl of potato chips. Bonus. Every month they also have a featured dish (appetizer, burger, cocktail, dessert). I had their French Onion (March 2018) burger. Delicious. Fried onions strips are so beautiful. The patty seems hand made and is quite flavourful. Comes with fries and garlic sauce.
