My first time in here Im actually not aware of this hidden Palestinian global cuisine. Small restaurant street and rear parking. We had the crunchy chicken garlic wrap which I can say one of the best wrap I tasted in lower mainland,we also tried the fish and chips, fries is very good, spicy amd really tasted awesome, the fish is freshly cooked into perfection im lovin' it. Clean maybe can only house 6-8 clients, mostly to- go place. Open late which I gezz an advantage. Market value; affordable excellent foods. Service is superb they have this open like kitchen where you watch them preparing your orders. Kudos!!! Will be returning soon...

The fish burger was 5 stars.. fresh, crispy fish filets, nicely seasoned on a soft cheesy bun.. the falafel wrap was 4 stars.. fresh and crispy falafels and fresh veggies .. yummy but the wrap and falafels could've used a lot more seasoning.. fries were 3 stars.. under seasoned and not crispy.. would come back for the fish sandwich and the salads look like they're worth trying out.

Wanted to try everything on the menu but we settled on the single patty cheeseburger, falafel salad and 2 of fish and chip. The burger was aight but the fish and chips were the star. Great flavour and really good light batter. Not greasy at all. Big piece of fish and the fries were nicely seasoned too. The falafels were a little over fried so I couldn't even poke them with my plastic fork. I really enjoyed the pita chips. Also had the herbal tea but that lacked any flavour. Staff were helpful and patient. Would love to come back and try the chicken wrap and ice cream bar.

First time here but have looked up the menu and knew what we would order. Cheeseburger - Yum!!! Patty is moist, slightly charred and well seasoned. Bun are soft & nice toasted. They use raw onion by default so ask to omit if you're not into it. Fish & chip - the fish is seriously not greasy as per their website. We're so happy and couldn't stop talking about it over dinner tonight. Fish was fresh and moist. Fries were great! Chicken garlic wrap - I especially love the lime and cilantro dressing in this wrap! Classic cheesecake - love the texture and the fact that it is not overly sweet and dense. I would enjoy it even without the coulis. Can't wait to check out a few more items on the menu! Appreciate that more chefs/restaurants are taking the step to deliver quality food. Well priced for the quality!

Don't ask how someone from Kitsilano ended up eating F&C up on Kingsway but it was well worth the effort to cycle all that way. In any case it was a delicious lunch excellent service and next time I'll try some of the Middle Eastern dishes. It's a bare bones little place but clean, well run and well worth your while.

This small, compact restaurant that harbors lots of options for healthy entrees and appetizers is conveniently located on Kingsway. Street parking is available just at the front of the restaurant. My girlfriend and I stopped by this place as a late night snack after a long drive, and boy was it worth it. We were greeted with smiles upon entering, and after deciding with the Cajun Chicken Plate and 2-Piece Fish and Chips, the workers were kind enough to provide cups of water. The Cajun Chicken Plate had a variety of earthy flavors, from the spicy hummus, to the garlic sauce. Every flavor was working together, and every bite kept me interested! The 2-Piece Fish and Chips also had a nice, rustic look. The fish was soft but flaky, and the batter was golden crispy. The chips were also freshly cut and fried. Pair that along with a splash of lemon, and a coat of tartar sauce, and this a worthwhile meal to savor. Overall, this place, being open until 1:00am, makes this a top contender next time I'm craving a healthy bite.

Chefhyve is a tiny restaurant that's easy to miss on Kingsway. We decided to order UberEats to try some local places and ended up being so impressed. We ordered a few dishes to try. Fish and Chips. To be honest I expected something average since it's just fish and chips as well as it was being delivered instead of freshly out of the fryer, but this turned out to be my favorite. The batter was so light, well seasoned and stayed crispy. The fish was fresh and melt in your mouth. I read other reviews later on and found out the fish is locally sourced and ocean wise. Chicken Feast. Absolutely delicious. Juicy and big pieces of chicken. Hummus was smooth and made in house. Tons of fresh and pickled veggies. They even served this dish with Bulgar, which I haven't seen many other places do. The Crunch. This was the falafel served with crunchy seasoned pita chips and two dipping sauces. Great appetizer and doesn't have the overly heavy feeling. I didn't get a chance to meet the owner, but reading the other reviews seems like a good person. Someone who cares about their business and takes pride in the food that's made. I am definitely coming back!

Really enjoyed this place! Was in the area and was looking for a quick bite, was considering getting a chicken sandwich from the store across, however their menu caught my attention as i walked past by. Got myself the Cheeseburger, which is a smash burger style and all i can say is "wow". Ingredients were fresh and everything on their menu was mainly made fresh to order. Patty was juicy, Veggies were fresh but not wet, buns were toasted nicely on the grill! It was everything you would want in a burger. Reminded me of an in n out Burger! 10/10 would recommend. If you have a bigger appetite, they offer a double patty cheeseburger also!

Definitely one of the best comfort food place i have ever been in Vancouver. Fresh, cheap, good quality, big portion and taste very good so definitely come around here to try it. Get the chicken wrap for the best stuff here. Just a recommendation is that the place is kind of not efficient on the design of the place. Definitely can fit more table and chairs and bathroom for customers. Recommended to have knife prepared in the restaurant too so that customers can cut their fish and chips which is the higlight menu of the restaurant. But anyway cheers this is a very good place.

I have eaten here twice. I have tried fish sandwich and the crunchy chicken wrap! It was amazing!!! The chicken wrap is my favorite thing now, the pita chips inside are from another planet!! Everyone needs to try

We tried this place out based on my sister's opinion. ( Thanks J!) Had some Fish Bites...very good! Great crunchy batter, not greasy (He took 3 months to perfect it and he did a terrific job of it!). Also shared a falafal wrap. Hubby isn't usually into falafals, but he liked it. This is now our "go to" place for fish and chips, I'd like to maybe try the burrito next time. It's just a little, casual place, with a few seats inside and out. Very clean and well maintained. Blink and you might miss it. It's right beside Beefway Meats. They make a lot stuff in-house. Food is very fresh,. The owner/chef should be proud of this little gem. We'll be making regular stops here! It's been open for 1 1/2 years. The business is doing relatively well and will probably continue to do so. He takes great care in preparing each order. You won't be disappointed! We certainly weren't. You have to try their ice cream treats!

New FAV!! Found this place on Uber Eats and checked Yelp for reviews. Very happy that I tried it out, it's so fresh and delicious! The crunchy chicken garlic wrap... LOVED it! I added spicy feta and it was chefs kiss. The crunchy pita inside makes it so different! I also ordered a side of the house made pita and really enjoyed it. I will be back to try other things but mainly for the wrap!

Highly recommend this restaurant! Came here a few times now and I've tried their spicy chicken wrap, fish sandwich and fish and chips and all are very tasty and fresh! I highly recommend the fish sandwich, cheesy bun with a nice crispy fish and fresh slaw and they hand cut their potatoes! Had finally tried their dessert of their in house cheesecakes, you can custom them with 2 different sauces and 3 toppings. Super delicious and not to sweet. On top of all of the I got a chance to meet the owner Ali, great guy and his staff is awesome. Highly recommend this place!

The tomatoes in the Greek salad were on the verge of being mushy (I ate them, but considered discarding them, and if they'd been any more mushy I would've thrown them out), the hummus was grainy, the pickled onions tasted kind of funky, the samosa wrapper was not crisp, the dolma filling was weirdly dense, the pita was store-bought and very thin (I recognize this is intentional and a style some people like, I just prefer a thicker pita for dipping). The toum was really good, but that did not make up for everything else going on. They get a second star from me because when I ordered I also bought a bottle of their ayran to drink later, and that did end up being pretty good, so I feel my rating should acknowledge that there was something that wasn't a complete miss. But I definitely wouldn't eat here again.

I personally am not comfortable with anyone's bare hands touching my food directly, and specially with the whole pandemic thing still going on. So, that for me was a big turn off. She didn't ask me which ingredients I wanted on my wrap. I mean how unusual?! She just put all the ingredients on my wrap. What if I had an allergy? What if I didn't want tomatoes?! The whole thing was just surreal. She ignored us the whole time we were standing there while making our wrap with her bare hands. I just hope that they were clean! Once we got home and I had a taste of the wrap it tasted very bland. The lamb was dry and tasted like plastic and the hummus was ...well...grainy, unsalted and miserable. The pita bread was not a quality pita bread, so it started to fall apart half way through the wrap. Just a little juice from the tomatoes was dissolving the pita. Not good. I love middle eastern/mediterranean food and have had many many different types of shawarma wraps all over and this was one of the poorest I've had. If you know your wraps and love your lamb, skip this place.

Their beef that is served and cooked on the vertical broiler typical of a shawarma style sandwich was extremely low quality....even for street food shawarma standards. It seems like they have tried to blow up the UBC location, and so even though things are a couple of dollars less expensive than at the Broadway location, the portion sizes are smaller. I also find that the food at the UBC location is often dry and or cold and it's not nearly as fresh as the Broadway location. For the donair, chicken, and shawarma meat, for example, they cut it off and set it in trays which are then set on the back counter in the back of the restaurant, not on a warmer. Warmer. This means that when you get your food the meat is usually lukewarm at best. This is very different than the Broadway location where everything is kept in warming trays. The women who work behind the counter and handle the cash register also wear gloves that they do not change. You can observe them handling cash and interacting with customers and handling trash containers, and then they'll go grab somebody's pita shell and stick their gloves in the lettuce and tomatoes and make a sandwich.
