Food is delicious! I ordered delivery and paid a $5 delivery charge which is pretty reasonable and very convenient for ordering food when I can't leave work and go pick it up. Price is very reasonable for the portion sizes, o have a full meal of leftovers. The potato salad is to die for, it's full of dill which I love. Another great thing is none of the meat dishes are cooked in BBQ sauce that has gluten! Driving back from Golden for the Coors Brewery, we were looking for something to eat. We came across Ragin' Hogs and decided to stop in. We both had the 2 meat plate. I picked smoked pork and ribs (came with 3 ribs) and my girlfriend chose smoked pork and smoked chicken. For sides we chose macaroni and cheese, baked beans and green beans. And both of us had the buttermilk pie for dessert. The meat was smoked to perfection and the sides were delicious! Not to mention the buttermilk pie which I had never tried before. I think the best thing about this place was their choices of sauces. Memphis, Carolina, Georgia, Sweet and Hot. My personal favorites were the Memphis and the Georgia. When Doug Y. recommends a bbq restaurant, I'm on my way. It was excellent. It's not a fancy place; it's a Mom and Pop in the best sense of the expression. The "Mom" is listed on their business card as the pitmaster. When I asked, she told me that she is from Arkansas and is doing Memphis-style barbeque. They pride themselves on not reheating anything -- everything is fresh out of the smoker, and it shows in the quality. The ribs were tender and flavorful, not steamtable-ish. They also pride themselves on sides made from scratch. I loved the slaw and baked beans. My husband liked the mac & cheese. The prices are reasonable. They only take cash in an effort to keep prices as low as possible. For instance, a half rack of ribs, 2 small sides, a drink, dessert and tax is $15. They have a wide variety of homemade sauces. She (I think her name is Colleen) recommended a combination of the Memphis and the sweet on the ribs. I thought it was great. I am from KCMO and I kinda judge BBQ a little hard because I come from the BBQ capital of the USA! But this place is really good. The burnt ends are amazing and the potato salad is OMG GOOD! The Food, I eat all over and love BBQ! This place is true to what BBQ is supposed to be. Had to search for a lunch place while in the area for a baseball tournament at Regis University. Couldn't find much online but came across Ragin and we decided to try this small BBQ place. Was really surprised at how good the BBQ was and how nice the people are. Best part is they let you put your own sauce on it and have 5 to choose from (Georgia, Memphis, Carolina, Hot and Sweet) sitting table side. Very down home BBQ and I heard 2 other people say it was the best food they had in a long time. Had a lemon cookie with the combo meal and that was great too. This place is awesome! I got the burnt ends and potato salad. The brunt ends were delicious and the potato salad was some of the best I've ever had. I ordered it delivery through Grubhub. My only 2 issues: I wish they would give the option to add the burnt ends and brisket to the combos like they do on other food delivery services. And I wish you could swap out barbecue sauces instead of having to pay extra to get a different verity like Carolina bbq sauce. But the food is wonderful. Here's what I figured. about 15 miles on the bike allows you the mac and cheese. If you just did weights, do the brisket or chicken. Gotta fuel the rebuilding. The best BBQ in Denver. The storefront is a little seedy but the food and staff are great. Sometimes they run out of things later in the evening. If you are worried about it, pick it up earlier and heat it up when you are ready. Great for party carry out if you are headed somewhere and we're planning on stopping at Safeway for a party tray and want to step things up. Reasonably priced. Man! We used to go there all of the time before the pandemic and it WAS the very best. Went there last month and it was the WORST! The ribs tasted like they were about two days old (they were grey) and the potato salad was bad. They have really gone down hill. Oh well. Too bad ;~( We tried Post Oak and they were worse. So many fundamental things wrong here I don't know where to start. First the good: the service was exceptionally friendly. Now everything else: The barbecue was sooo dry. Especially the chicken. The pork had zero flavor (do they spice at all before smoking?). The signature sauces sauces were unremarkable at best, and didnt help the meat. The mac and cheese was plain bad, as it needs to be cheesier and served warm. I got cold glop in a small plastic cup. BBQ served dry with lots of sauce choices. Most of the sauces were good, there others were OK. The beans and coleslaw were excellent. The meat was a tad dry but not enough to worry about. I knocked a star off because I didn't think the prices are in line with the value of the meal, the menu wasn't clear about pricing, and when I ordered the same meal a 2nd time they tried to charge me a higher price. They did adjust it when I mentioned it, and that speaks to the lack of clarity on the menu. If I'm in the area and have a BBQ craving, I will stop in, but I won't be making any special trip to the area since there are better options in Denver read more

The price to portion here is fantastic. Probably the best bbq value in Colorado and I have been to most of them. The bbq sauces they have are all amazing. Perfect amounts of vinegar and spices. I think the sauces may be near the best I've had in some time. The sides were a big disappointment. The green beans seemed to be from a can with spices added and the mac and cheese was closer to buttery noodles. Almost no cheese at all. The meats were slightly dry and the smoke flavor was lacking which was odd as the meats looked cooked correctly. This place is close to great but is just above average in my opinion. If you are giving 5 stars you need to get out more! There are several places not far from here that are way better. Can't beat the value here though. read more
