IF YOURE LOOKING FOR BBQ IN DENVER LOOK NO FURTHER. I've been looking for good bbq in Denver for a while now, and I've been successful at a couple places, however Jordy's STEALS THE SHOW. This place was nuts. Also, stumbled upon the food truck at Zuni St Brewery. It was amazing. I got the maple ribs and the brisket. They were both amazing but so different. The maple ribs were so tender, crispy and meaty but the maple was so sweet and delicious. The brisket was the best I've ever had. Not fancy, nothing crazy flavors, just cooked perfectly. Decent at best. Brisket sandwich was quite dry. Bun was hard to chew through and made the whole thing even more dry. Bbq sauce tasted good at least but it was sitting on a table in a bin that should have ice but did not. Mac and cheese needs work. Expensive for this many issues. read more

I am BLOWN away! We never actively seek out BBQ because it so often ends up being a disappointment. So when we saw that one of our favorite breweries had Jordy's BBQ as the food truck for the day, we were hesitant - but it was a beautiful day, so we figured we'd stop by for one drink. Before ordering, I looked them up and read through their reviews and website and I was intrigued. Once we sat down with our drinks, I walked over and decided to order just the brisket (I think it was a half pound). I chatted with the owner, David, and his mother-in-law, Lisa, and they could not have been more friendly. The truck itself is super clean and well-kept, and right away you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do. They even offered us a side of mac and cheese on the house - which I gladly accepted... because who wouldn't? Our order was ready quickly, and then... WOW. Just wow. Side note: they also gave us banana pudding on the house. Truly just really kind people. But let's get to why we're all really here - the brisket. Just looking at it, you could tell how juicy it was, with a beautiful bark on both the top and bottom. One bite in and it literally melted in our mouths. So insanely good. My husband said he hasn't had BBQ like this since Franklin Barbecue in Austin years ago. I was floored and I'm not exaggerating, it really is that good. The mac and cheese was ooey and gooey, exactly how you would want it, with toasted breadcrumbs on top for a little texture. And the banana pudding? I wasn't planning on eating it all in one sitting... but I did. I'll let that speak for itself. Bottom line is, if you love BBQ and are looking for a place in Denver that serves up some of the best. Had the food truck/trailer when it was pulled up at Colorado Tap House (awesome spot by off the Ralston Creek Trail). The staff were super friendly and helpful! Food was really good. I had a brisket sando and my wife had the puled pork. Meet was super juicy and well seasoned. Great sauces too - always a plus for me. The mac and cheese was OK (bit dry) but the elote was pretty fire and not one of the usual suspects of bbq sides, so that was exciting! Good slaw too. Their banana pudding straight up converted me - from thinking I didn't like it to taking pints to go and thinking about it all day at work. Great business to support! Jordy's was parked across the street and so my wife and I shared a plate. We had pulled pork, brisket, coleslaw, mac & cheese, and banana pudding. All of this came with three sauces and plenty of pickles and pickled red onion. We both really enjoyed the brisket and pulled pork along with the coleslaw, pickled etc and sauces. The mac & cheese was overcooked, but had good flavor and the banana pudding was a bit off for both of us. The staff was over-the-top nice and helpful and they alone will have me coming back! If they have any sausage on the menu, I highly suggest trying it because it is some of the best I've had! read more

Arrived when they were closing down but gave me potato salad and a sausage on the house and when I say that was the best sausage I've had in my entire life... I mean that. SUCH good customer service and the owner and all the employees with him were so nice, such good food and the help they provided made it that much better! It was good without meat as well! We also tried their churros which did not disappoint. My coworker had their pork belly tacos and he really enjoyed them, however, they are messy! My boyfriend wanted to try more of their food, but unfortunately when he went for lunch they had run out of a lot of their menu and was left getting carne asada. He was pretty disappointed. The adobo bowl was so salty I couldn't even eat it. I can see why they share a space with a bar, the salty food is perfect for bar situations, makes people want to eat and drink more.

We had the jackfruit sandwich with potato salad, the ribs, and pinto beans. Everything was delicious. I was so impressed with the jackfruit sandwich as I typically do not get to enjoy BBQ trucks with my husband. It was tangy and played well with the spicy bbq sauce they had to offer. The potato salad was a no fuss, creamy, standard potato salad with a lot of flavor. The kind of potato salad you hope to find at a BBQ truck. I grew up eating southern pinto beans and dumplings and the smoky pintos reminded me of those. Smoky, creamy, and delicious. My husband said the ribs were the best he has had in a long time. He could really taste the maple but it was very balanced. Loved the addition of pickled onions and pickles on the side. Jordy's BBQ trick is amazing!!!! We lucked out stopping at the "Downtown Denver" area near REI, we were starving and walked a short couple of blocks to Denver Beer Company (also highly recommend) , it was our lucky as Jordy's truck was in front of the Denver Beer Co. we had an awesome lunch of pulled pork, pork belly, sausages with potato salad, coleslaw and Mac and cheese and banana pudding cups. Tried the mac and cheese with brisket on top, and it totally hit the spot. The flavors worked really well together -- super comforting and packed with that classic BBQ richness. You could tell the meat was smoked just right, and it added a great savory depth to the dish. The texture was creamy with just the right amount of smokiness from the brisket. I was in the mood for some spare ribs, so I searched around and found this spot. I ordered the spare ribs, prime beef brisket, pulled pork. The first bite was amazing! I really love ribs and never make them at home, so when I see it on a BBQ menu it always catches my eye. As far as the portion size is concerned, you will not go home hungry here! Caveman ribs with plenty of meat on the bone. Unfortunately I really didn't love the flavor of the ribs. The two sauces I picked out (Memphis and hot) also weren't doing it for me. There was some smoke and bark, and though they were meaty, it really fell flat. It was underseasoned and the sauces didn't liven it up like I was hoping. Sad to say, the mac and cheese I got for my side was also supbar. It felt like eating macaroni without the cheese. Watery, thin, and not much flavor. I hate that I didn't love the food, because the two people behind the counter were so nice. It was pretty slow inside for a Friday. For my money, there are better BBQ options in town. I love hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop joints, this one just didn't deliver flavor wise for me.

I'm used to very clearly distinctly different BBQ sauces, especially when they go through that effort to explain them all on the sign/sheet of paper that is too hard on the eyes and long to read. A more aesthetically pleasing presentation of the explanations would be nicer to look at. The burnt ends sell out FAST! We were there pretty early, though it was on a Saturday afternoon around 2-3pm-ish, I believe, and they were already out! And the pit is right out front!
