This place is definitely a hidden gem! its in a strip mall by a hair salon and subway. Their kabobs and rice are to DIE for! The meat is always great and so flavorful! Only thing I wish changed was their sides. If they had better side options I would defiantly give them a 5/5. But a big part of middle eastern foods are the great sides... Also I've heard great things about their pizza but have not had a chance to try them. But they always look great and I come by to pick up lunch. Definitely worth a visit here! read more

Simply the best grilled chicken and salad in L.A. I've been getting take out from Rafo's for years. Rafo is just the nicest guy, he even made lentil soup from scratch for me one time *while I waited* (!) I usually get the grilled chicken breast plate - generous portions (usually more food than I can eat in one sitting). The chicken is always grilled perfectly and the salad vegetables are always very fresh. I'm addicted to the homemade garlic salad dressing. It's very obvious that Rafo takes a lot of pride in serving fresh, healthy, well prepared food. read more

Great place if you enjoy good Mediterranean food as well as catching COVID! Staff is excellent at making sure every guest will be infected with coronavirus. The measures they've taken to ensure this include: servers wearing masks as chin-guards only, the cook/owner letting his nose breathe all over everything cooking--just in case the air wafting with COVID wasn't enough. The man who rang up our order did wear a mask, only once I came in. The food itself is good as you can see from the reviews; it and the high covid infection rate make this a great place to go to if you enjoy believing COVID is a sham, but if you're dumb enough to be one of those people, I doubt you will have made it this far into reading my review, since you so clearly cannot read statistics and factual evidence. We just survived school finals in this household and I had been collecting take-out menus from various restaurants so we can have something other than pizza delivered to our door while studying. Rafo's cafe won the vote out of 20 other places. We ordered a couple of sandwiches, a Lule plate, and a Donner plate. I asked if hummus was included or extra, the guy said he would throw some in for free, nice! He was very patient as he took my order, he said 40 minutes for delivery. It was closer to 50 minutes, but he managed to find the apartment without calling me a bunch of times, so... The food was great, even better than last time. The donner (shwarma) was delicious, the lule was juicy. Not everyone likes jalapenos, but they work with the food. But the dressing, hummus, and tzatziki sauce were freshly made. They even served a grilled tomato, mint, and persian cucumbers on the salad, fresh veggies just compliment the meat so well! My boys could barely finish their sandwiches (wraps), they were so full of meat! It was a really good quantity of really good food. This review is for the Mediterranean food, since no one in our party had the pizza. The food is overpriced for what you get (yes, the prices are higher in-store than what's represented online). My party ordered the plates, which come with the protein, rice, salad, hummus, and pita. Everything is served in styrofoam, and the pita is store-bought and comes cold. The flavor of the meat was fine (though I almost broke a tooth on a bit of bone), the sauces are good. If the prices were lower I would have given the food a 3-star rating, but you can get MUCH better Mediterranean food for what you're paying at this place. Confusing name of the place turned out truly amazing place to eat. I do like Mediterranean kabobs as well as I love pizza so much and this place have both. So I had beef luleh kabob and my friend Alicia had simple Margaretta pizza. Luleh came with rice, side salad and 2 pretty big yummy luleh. Meat is awesome and full of flavor with all the spices you can imagine. I also asked for some hot sauce and guys truly nailed it, little hot, but that's what I liked the most. We pretty much sat there in awe at the quantity of food after being so used to getting ripped off. It was all really good. The hummus, which was served first with pita to soften the wait, was probably the best hummus I've had. I'm never super impressed by hummus, but I would have bought that stuff in a jar if I could have! This is located in the corner lot with a subway, liquor store, smoke shop, etc., so parking can be a hassle. I really like the quality of the food here, but I always order to-go and they almost always mess up my order. I always order yogurt cucumber salad with my lulu kebab plate and one worker always forgets, I always have to check it's in the bag and he always gets surprised I ordered something additional. Sometimes they give me a tomato (supposed to be included), sometimes they don't. And they never offer me sumac. Went here for the first time today and got a caprese sandwich and grape leaves. The sandwich was fine, can't go wrong with mozzarella and pesto in general, but the grape leaves were PHENOMENAL. Came here on a quiet Saturday afternoon. Everything had the mom and pop vibe going from the way they took your order to the light banter between the cooks in the kitchen. It is no lie that the food comes our fresh. I definitely noticed it in the quality of the salad (cucumbers and tomatoes) they provided. The pita bread was fresh and slightly crisp which added a nice texture. I ordered the grilled chicken plate which was more than enough for two people. The meat could have used a little more seasoning though, but maybe that's the whole point of it being a healthy spot to eat.
