Bought a used car on June 7, 2021. Identified the car through TrueCar, who identified the advertised price as "excellent" based on whatever TrueCar's algorithm for that is. I arrived at the dealership expecting the inevitable, "oh yeah, but that's before we add the mandatory $900 of this and that nonsense ..." But wait! Can this be? The salesman takes us for a test drive, the car was great, I say "We'll take it," and he says, "OK, you came through TrueCar so that's the amount I'll write it up for!" No bullshit additional "fees" or "dealer installed options" or any of that nonsense. In fact, after sliding the purchase contract across the table for our signature he says, "oh wait -- you're a veteran" and knocks another $250 of the price! Did I pay too much? Maybe -- maybe I'm a dope for believing TrueCar. But the point is the salesman honored the price quoted, the finance guy also matched the interest rate from my credit union, and neither of them wasted our time with high pressure "upsells." Cole - General Manager, several messages were left for you, and you didn't bother to return the calls (even an urgent message was left) on your voicemail, and with the receptionist. You were there. Please don't try to defend this. Incident - 6-20-2023 NO NEED TO RESPOND NOW! So the drive to get to this place was over an hour. There was an appointment scheduled. The ad for the car of interest said the car was a Ford Explorer, and the price was $34,139. The Disclosure Statement provided by Erik the Sales Manager, said the price was $36,751 (he provided the higher price in writing). Now keep in mind they clearly had an ad online. He said he was offering an extra discount on the car, yet the price of the car was displayed differently for the public to see. The GM Mr. Cole, again was called several times with an urgent message left to return the call regarding this. Not once did he bother call. When Erik was called, the salesman said he tried to call back, but there was no answer, which was (a FAT LIE). When pics were sent to Erik's cell phone with all the details, he then returned the call and went right into being defensive and rude. He couldn't explain and appeared frustrated that he was caught. There is no need to post any untrue statements about them (you can see for yourself). Perhaps someone on this platform can help them out by explaining the attachments below. I was very excited to finally go down and configure my 2022 Ford F150 Lightning I have had on order for some time. That is until I received an email from Raceway Ford stating that they are "charging a mark-up of $6,000 for Pro & XLT trims, and a $10,000 mark-up for Lariat & Platinum." That means although they are already making standard margins that they make charging MSRP they are so greedy they are trying to add $10k on top of pure profit. This is purely a dealership taking advantage of their customers. The good news is with a phone call Ford Corp was more then willing to move my $90k Lightning reservation to a dealer that does not take advantage with outrageous mark ups. I am thankful that other dealerships are not as greedy as Raceway Ford and I look forward to getting my 2022 F150 Lightning by 3rd qtr this year. Some guy rolls up through the garage area that is already open he walks in through the employee entrance. The employee finally opens the door we come in and helps the man that arrived after us. I made an appointment to have the software updated on my 2016 truck. Every time I plug it in it gives me this annoying message for 3 minutes saying my voice commands are not activated blah blah blah..... So I walk in 15 mins early up to the service counter. The guy looks up at me, then back down at his computer and starts acting like he's busy on his computer. After approximately 45 seconds of obviously being invisible I politely say hey sir I have an 11 o clock appointment. He helps me with the basic questions then tells me it will be 130 bucks for the software update.... I explained to him I have the service package and in all reality it shouldn't matter because I tried to do the "update" from a flash drive on the internet but it didn't work...so in my humble opinion it's not really my problem and Ford should take care of their customers that spend over 40k on a truck. So anyhow he doesn't budge, so I leave. Several hours later I figure I'll try to speak with a manager and tell them my side see if they can help me out. Person who answers the phone was polite and asked where I would like to be directed. I asked for the manager please and he said right away. I drove all the way out to Raceway Ford in Riverside from Palm Springs to get a 2011 Ford Explorer Limited, it looked nice from the pictures and we talked on the phone and came up with a price, Well I thought he said one thing and then when I get there it was another, also looking at the SUV, I noticed that the inside door armrests were all bubbled and hollow and when in the heat it will dry out and crack, this was on all doors, I guess they thought I was done that and that one I was not going to do a second time, well the transmission fluid was not clean it was a dirty brown, it is supposed to be crazy but been there and had to replace them and it not cheap, also looking the engine I wanted to check the transmission fluid, also been there and a reddish color it was not serviced and looking on the carfax the records did not show being serviced in any of the records the SUV had 85,433 miles so it's overdue for being serviced, well I offered then a price since it was going to cost me right away a good $1,500 more to have the door panels replace and to have the transmission services, well they would not budge on the price one bit, the car was 9 almost 10 years old, I am sorry but I used to work for a Ford Lincoln dealer and used cars is where you make most of your money and they were not willing to come down on the price, Sad! I saw a custom SCA Ford F150 4x4 Black Widow Truck online I was interested in. I shot an email online and Rick Auzenne quickly responded and said the truck was still available. I've experienced other car dealers do not keep their inventory updated online and show vehicles that were already sold. I wasn't about to drive 67 miles one way for nothing. I arrived at the dealership and met w/ Rick. He was really easy to talk to, I felt really comfortable talking w/ him. He was not pushy trying to make a sale. They had been doing my oil changes for two years and always with friendly and professional service. BET YOU WOULDN'T EXPECT THIS FROM YOUR NEIGHBOR... On 1/22/21 took my vehicle to the service department of Raceway Ford (5900 Sycamore Canyon Blvd., Riverside, CA 92507) to have the panorama window evaluated because of occasional slowing when closely. The vehicle is pre-certified Ford that was purchased 2 years ago with 40,000 miles, an extended warranty and currently has 60,000 miles. A week goes by, on 1/27/21 receive a call from Raceway's service department; the person on the phone was Alan Leon (service advisor) indicating he would be assisting with the vehicle moving forward given that the previous advisor, Matt Baker, who that was initially made aware of the matter, was out of the office. Alan proceeded to explain that for warranty purposes, the headliner in the vehicle would have to be cut for pictures to be taken for the warranty claim. Furthermore, when requested for additional details on the warranty coverage, Alan Leon said "if warranty does not cover the repairs of the window it would be the responsibility of the vehicle owner to replace the headliner." The cost of the headline is $600. Based on this, it was declined. Without a doubt, that should have been the end. But it was not, only the beginning. Agreed that the panorama window was not to be repaired and the headliner was not to be removed, the vehicle was picked up the evening of 2/2/21 from the Raceway Ford Service department. The following day, it was noticed all grad handles and both sun visors were loose. The screws to hold the grab handles and the sun visors were not tight or secure to the vehicle. Left on the white headline, variety of dark grease strains within the vehicle particularly fingerprints surrounding the panorama window. A tear to the headliner on the back passenger side where there was no tears previously before. Scruff marks and dirty footprints noticeable on all of the leather upholstery, center console, and to all four door panels where service technicians were stepping to support themselves. Moreover, numerous broken plastic pieces found within the vehicle. Raceway Ford acknowledges from the pictures provided to them that although consent to diagnose the occasional difficult to closing of the window was not provided, their staff was "all over the vehicle" and can see how frustrating this can be. However, management stated while the vehicle was there the headline was not compromised during the visit and the tear to on the back passenger side is merely "that factory cut is off, leaving it hard to tuck in the material on both sides." Raceway Ford management cleaned the headliner but couldn't guarantee that the grease strains wouldn't return. Concerned about the plastic pieces and that additional damage was done by Raceway Ford's service department, management was asked to close the retractable sunshade within the vehicle. Management declined to close it and verbally stated that panorama window is closing with more difficulty than before and recommended to not operate the panorama window or sunshade from that point further but not provided alternative solutions to resolve. Despite numerous communications with Raceway Ford's service department and general managers, they are reluctant to take accountability to assist on making this right by replacing /compensating for the headliner and assist with a portion the cost of the repair of the panorama window as a result of their service department negligence to allowing technicians it take upon themselves further damage and to be "all over the vehicle" without consent. They charged me $315 for a side mirror (that was not a complete assembly) which was NOT needed, as I got the correct mirror for $120 on Amazon, and it was a Ford part!! These guys have some racket going on to sell parts, whether it's right or wrong. Then they wouldn't take the part back because they have a return policy with no restocking fee. I bought a 2019 Ford Mustang. Both salesman were friendly and informative, Rick and John. There were two issues I had that would have made this purchase so much better. 1.) There was a non-OEM decklid installed with the original part in the trunk of the car. I asked if this could be switched out prior to purchase and answer was no, I would have to pay 1 hour of labor, $130 to have replaced. This would have likely taken the dealer 20 minutes to do but instead refused to do so unless I paid. 2.) I drove the car out of dealer with 1/4 tank of gas. I've never purchased a car and had anything less than a full tank upon purchase, was disappointed. These were two lost opportunities to drive return and referral sales in future that the dealer really had no interest in taking advantage of. $30 in gas and a 20 minute service request on a $36,000 purchase seems little to drive customer satisfaction and would have gone a long way. (5/16) Bought my first truck, a 2018 Ford F-150 STX, from this dealership and that part was a breeze, after that not so much. 2 days after purchasing (5/18) a check engine light came on. When I took it into the service department I went in with Alfredo, one of the gentlemen who helped with the sale. The service department was busy and basically told me they didn't have time to take a look at my brand new truck. So I took it to auto zone and pulled the code myself which took about 10 min. 2 weeks later (5/31) the check engine light comes on again. Upon returning for the second time the service department was a little more helpful, setting me up with a rental and telling me they should be able to handle it soon so I would have my truck back by the weekend. Well that didn't happen, I called Alan on Friday and he had no answer as to what the problem could be, same thing on Monday and Tuesday the following week. Tuesday I paid the service department a visit and they tried to assure me they were doing whatever they could to fix it but they were still waiting on Ford's engineers to get back to them with what parts to replace. They didn't get an answer until late Wednesday and my truck was fixed on Thursday (6/7), one week after going into the shop. Upon returning the rental and signing the paperwork for the service I am told that someone at the dealership misplaced my keys and they needed to track them down. 45 min I waited outside by the service return lanes until my truck showed up. Also sometime during the week that my truck was in the shop, someone went through my truck, backpack, and tools that were in there and I needed to check and see if anything was missing. Such a devastating feeling knowing that my truck and belongings weren't safe during the week that it was there. Luckily nothing was taken and they weren't able to get into my lockbox in the back seat. Lastly, when my truck was returned it was unwashed and still on empty from when I dropped it off even tho the service department needed to drive it around to diagnose the problem. Purchased a 2017 Ford Explorer from this location and to make sure I was covered with warranty I purchased one for 3k through them. At the time of purchasing the warranty I was told they would repair the vehicle if any issues came up and would receive a loaner car when repairs were approved. Well I'm on day 2 with no vehicle or loaner and it's already been approved for me to already have one. First day speaking to Amanda Flores about my rental she was very short and rude with me telling me that she doesn't know what to tell me but they have nothing for me. She was even rude to the repair specialist right in front of me. She is constantly holding her personal cell phone in her hand and never even gets up out of her chair to address the situation. Wow.....I just spent 25 minutes walking all over this lot and not once was I offered help, approached, or spoken to in any way. Taking my business somewhere else. Thanks for the sarcastic, nasty toned response RACEWAY FORD. You will definitely not be getting my business if that's how "good people" treat potential customers.
