This is the third time I've tried to leave a review about my experience here, and previous ones have not remained posted. That alone should raise concerns. My experience with this dealership was extremely frustrating. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, and despite being contacted after my initial review, no meaningful effort was made to resolve the situation. At one point, I was warned about potential "defamation" for sharing my experience. That response felt inappropriate and discouraging, especially when I was simply trying to communicate what happened from my perspective. I was also repeatedly contacted by a salesperson even after I made it clear I was not interested, which added to the negative experience. If you are shopping for a car, I strongly recommend taking your time, comparing offers, and considering financing through a credit union or outside lender so you have more control in the process. This was my first time visiting this Honda dealership, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I arrived around 4:00 PM after confirming on Google Maps that they close at 7:00 PM. Despite arriving well within business hours, I was told that they could not assist me and that I should come back the next day. There was no clear explanation, no effort to help, and the overall attitude from the staff was unwelcoming and unprofessional. As a new customer, I expected at least basic courtesy and respect, but instead, I felt dismissed. This is not the level of service I would expect from a reputable dealership. Service Department only: Have yet to have a good experience with service department. With or without an appointment. I scheduled a required recall which is only done on weekdays and was told it would be "quick." I'm guessing because they want to make money on the weekend services, and they don't make money on recalls. (I could be wrong.) Get here and I'm told it will be 3 hours. I'm out of their "drop off zone" so they can't help with that. If they had been honest about the time it would take, I would have made other arrangements. This recall is required to register my car, so I don't have the option of putting it off. Other time I came for an oil change and they were incredibly rude when I tried to ask questions about other work. They told me I only booked an oil change, and wouldn't even tell me who I could speak to about questions regarding scheduling extra services for another time. Scott Brady has saved Honda's reputation! Mr. Brady has been nothing short of amazing...dynamic personality, thorough, pleasant, respectful, knowledgeable and above all - professional! My 2024 Prologue is the first Honda I have owned and I have not been happy at all. Spreen Honda totally corrupted my opinion of dealerships and multiple issues with this vehicle has severely tarnished Honda's image. This vehicle, unbeknownst to me at the time, was really a GMC vehicle that Honda placed their name on. There are two open recalls on the truck. My vehicle has been in and out of the Spreen dealership more than 10 times in less than a year - axle clicking, front bumper coming off, display console blackouts, rear camera blackout, vehicle not updating, HondaLink app not connecting to the car, etc. Spreen service counselors are the worst liars ever. Service have told me that parts were not available for any of the recall and the issues with the axle could not be addressed until Honda authorized the replacement. Spreen needs to be investigated by the State of California!! After the poor service at Spreen multiple times, I decided to make an appointment with Riverside Honda. Mr. Brady was my assigned service counselor. Mr. Brady assured me that my vehicle would get a thorough inspection and all issues found will be addressed. As it turned out my concerns of safety were confirmed when the technician discovered that BOTH axles (left & right) were bad, clicking when making turns at low speed, and needed to be replaced. The vehicle is NOT two years old yet and there warranty repairs needed...?!?!? Mr. Brady ordered the axle parts and had them installed under the warranty. He also got the display recall repaired. Mr. Brady kept in contact with me the entire day whenever my vehicle was left in his care. Again, Mr. Brady has saved the face of Honda. However, I certainly believe I got a LEMON from Spreen Honda. If anyone has had the same issues and found a Lemon attorney to handle, please let me know. read more

I had a very frustrating experience with the service department at Riverside Honda. After bringing my car in for service, I later discovered that a transmission bolt had not been properly tightened. This led to additional damage, which I was then told I needed to pay for--even though the issue appears to have originated during their service. The technician listed on my service paperwork was Dustin, and based on my experience, I would strongly recommend double-checking any work performed and being cautious about who services your vehicle. This situation is concerning because something like a loose transmission bolt can cause serious damage and safety issues. I trusted the shop to do the job correctly, and instead I ended up dealing with extra repairs and costs. I hope management takes this seriously and works to prevent situations like this from happening to other customers. read more

This is now the second time Riverside Honda has lost my business for the exact same reason -- a refusal to adapt to the customer's needs and a corporate-first approach that completely disregards the customer experience. I was genuinely interested in purchasing a Civic Type R and reached out to the dealership, initially speaking with Adeline, who was polite and responsive at first. However, once I was transferred to her manager, Amayrani, the communication and flexibility disappeared. I clearly explained that I work 12-hour night shifts during the week and cannot take time off unless we're finalizing a deal. Because of that, I asked to negotiate via text or email -- a completely reasonable request that many other dealerships (Infiniti, Audi, Ford, etc.) have no issue accommodating. Instead, I was told that "all pricing is done in person," as if my time and circumstances didn't matter. This is 2025 -- customers negotiate and purchase vehicles online every single day. Most dealerships have recognized that convenience, flexibility, and communication are what build long-term relationships. Unfortunately, Riverside Honda seems to prioritize outdated sales tactics and rigid "in-person only" policies that benefit the dealership more than the buyer. What's worse is that this isn't an isolated experience. The same thing happened to me last time I inquired about a Type R, and because of their unwillingness to work with me, I ended up purchasing a Ford F-250 instead. You would think that after losing a serious buyer once before, management would make some effort to earn that business back -- but sadly, it's clear that Riverside Honda has not learned from their mistakes. I'm not some window shopper wasting time. I'm a hardworking, serious buyer with a clear budget and interest, ready to move forward once terms are finalized. Instead of seeing that as an opportunity, they've chosen to make the process difficult and unaccommodating. If this dealership wants to compete in today's market, they need to understand that customer convenience and respect are worth more than following an outdated corporate playbook. Until they start putting the customer experience first, I'll gladly continue buying elsewhere -- from dealerships that actually value my time and business. read more

I am again, leaving a huge shout out to the excellent and helpful professionals who work in the service department of this dealership. This is the second time I have called them because people who work at HONDA of the Desert service department will only tell you you have to "come into the dealership" for them to remedy what turns out to be a relatively simple fix. This time, it involved the low tire pressure warnings coming on, and staying on after some of my tires needed inflation. After fully inflating, according to the owners manual, the warning should have gone off. It did not. I initially called the service department at HONDA of the Desert. The person answering just told me to "bring it in". This would have involved a significant out of my way trip. I then called the Riverside Honda dealership where I purchased my 2020 Honda Civic. The gentleman in the service department there indicated that I had to go onto certain settings on the Vehicle accessed on the steering wheel area which I was somewhat familiar with. Following his instructions, I was able to reset the low tire pressure warning. For me, this experience again reinforces that Riverside HONDA, employs intelligent, and informed personnel for their service department. read more

This review is solely on my experience with the service department. I cannot comment on the rest of the departments. I called in and made an appointment for the next available day, which was the following week (Wednesday, 7:40am) regarding a recall on a possible sticky steering wheel for my used 2024 Honda Civic Type R (with 3,300 miles). I also had a concern of a leaking overflow tank which seems to be a common occurrence with the Type R. I went in for my scheduled appointment and was given an ETA check of about 3 hours and was given a call within 2 hours with an update that my overflow tank was confirmed leaking and the part needed to be ordered. Turnaround ETA was 1-2 days with expected pick up date Friday or the following week. I left the dealership after turning in my car and went to work this same day, so I mentioned I would allow their team to keep my car and do their thing. In regards to the "sticky steering wheel" I did not have any noticeable issues with my steering wheel but I wanted to get it checked anyways since I was primarily going in for the overflow tank leak. Paul, the assistant service manager, helped me with my service needs. Paul is a good guy, he works efficiently and gave me excellent details about my cars situation along with letting me know that everything was covered by the recall notice along with Honda's warranty. Away from the dealership Paul mentioned he had an injury preventing him from being 100%, so to be working injured on a keyboard all day; I applaud you sir! Play by play timing. I dropped off my car at 7:40 AM on a Wednesday, left the dealership to go to work after the ETA was 3 hours to diagnose and review, received an update about the parts and leaking overflow tank issue covered by warranty, ETA of new parts arrival 1-2 business days, left the car overnight, and got a call the next day Thursday at 10ish AM that my car was ready for pick up. I was assuming that after we tried the car out that the information on the HONDA window sticker and the other window sticker adhered by the DEALERSHIP, Dealer installed options was the premise for our starting negotiations. It appears all the negotiations and the salesman running back and forth with some guy behind the curtain and finally we agree on the price some Dealer installed options can disappear. Unfortunately, Riverside Honda believes you have no contract until you sign the sales agreement. I beg to differ; the contact is with the salesman's handshake. Just moved to Corona and I normally would have gotten my car serviced in Cerritos but decided to take it closer to home. I did see that there's a Honda in Corona but I wasn't impressed with its Yelp reviews so went a few miles more to Riverside. So glad I did, because I felt they took great care of me. The young lady at the desk, I forgot to get her name but she helped me right away. Erwin reassured me that he would take care of my car. They have a nice spacious waiting room and a few people were at the desks working on their laptops. I ended up going home. Erwin called me to let me know there might be a little bit of a delay, which I really appreciated because communication is important to me. We decided on a car and drove a long way to test drive. We liked the car, and agreed on the final price, but had to come back Monday morning to pick it up because they said their service department was closed, so they couldn't give us the service info. We were told to follow up with Sam and did so via text, confirming we wanted the car, and he confirmed back at 4.50pm - they closed at 5pm. Monday morning, we get ready to drive back out and pick up the car, and then we see online that it has sold. We call and get told that Sam is off today, so is the original person we started with. We finally get hold of Oscar, and he is rude, telling us it's our fault for not signing then and there. At no point did they tell us we needed to, or we would lose it, and at no point did they contact us to let us know. A huge waste of time, a lack of communication, and a lack of basic courtesy. read more

You get discounted member rates that majority of people do not get if you walk in. Our scheduler Sylvia Bodella was great! We scheduled an appt to meet with the dealership a week out due to our work schedules. We selected the type of vehicle we wanted and received a quote in advance. Our original car sold the night prior so Sylvia was great with keeping us updated and looking for alternative options in a pinch of time! She was absolutely amazing! Once we arrived to the dealership, Luciano Arteaga was our assigned specialist. We had a bad experience at another dealership and we explained to him the negativity and our time had been wasted. Luciano made sure explain everything thoroughly, make sure we were getting the exact vehicle with no haggling or charging extra fees.
