A great place to get Italian and American food in West Seattle. Very great service and great ambience. My favorite dish was their pasta followed by the salmon Crudo, which was a bit thicker than most places I've had before. Their burger was good too, had a classic taste to it. Overall, I recommend and would come back.

Strozzapretti

The food was sooo good. Everything we tried was delicious. Not pictured are the zucchini which were amazing. The restaurant is cute and the seating on 2 floors. The server was great as well. Would definitely recommend!

Roasted Carrots

We ordered family style at this birthday dinner for our daughter. The food was very good, with the bread a clear stand-out, although the steak had a bit too much char. Cocktail: Uppercut Starters: G.H. Bread Service (wow!), Roasted Carrots, & Beets Pasta: Orecchiette, Agnolotti, Strozzapreti, & Bucatini Protein: American Wagyu Steak (medium rare) The service was great. There were a couple small glitches with the ambiance in our upper level seating: a bothersome security light in the alley outside our window kept turning on & off, and the climate control seemed erratic (too warm when we started, too cold by the time we left). Overall, solid four stars.

I love it there! It has been a wonderful experience each time I go here and ever since I've moved to west Seattle, I love recommending this place. The staff here are so kind and always let any new customers know where their food is sourced. The space is open and breezy during the summer and it's such a bright and welcoming space. I love the food here too! It's on the pricier end of food, but I've never left feeling unsatisfied or still wanting more food. It's a wonderful time!

We live all of the dishes here but especially the bolognese. The service has ways been quick, friendly and helpful. This is a nicer place, a bit more expensive. Great for special occasions. Reservations recommended but if you're OK with the bar, a great spot to slip in.

The bolognese subbed with a different type of pasta because they were out of strozzapretti. To die for!

My husband and I are the parents of two young children with special needs. Needless to say, we don't get out much, but last night we paid (dearly) for a babysitter, drove all the way from Marysville, and went out on a long overdue date night. My husband chose Raccolto to surprise me with because the menu has so many of my favorite things. It did not disappoint! A blonde woman greeted us at the podium. She looked straight down her nose at my husband and me. I don't think she smiled even once. But that was the only sour note of the evening. Once the General Manager, Hunter, started taking care of us, we were treated like royalty. The oyster starter was perfection, the champagne mignonette the perfect accoutrement. Next was the pasta course. I ordered the bolognese, my husband ordered the braised rabbit dish. Hunter explained that they were out of the Strozzapretti pasta that bolognese is usually served with but that it could be paired with another pasta shape of my choosing. I asked for and took Hunter's recommendation which I believe was cavatappi, though it wasn't on the menu. Both dishes were delicious and very generously portioned, but we agreed that the bolognese was the winning dish between the two. It was rich and delicious, meaty but not overpowered by sometimes strong taste of lamb. I devoured it. I only wish we'd had some table bread to mop up the delectable sauce. Halfway through our pasta dishes, to my carb-loving heart's delight, we were offered a complimentary dish of the cacio e pepe! What a treat! And the generosity didn't end there--Hunter was incredibly generous with the complimentary pours of wine that he said would need to be thrown out at the end of the night if the bottles weren't finished. We were feeling indulgent so we also ordered main courses as well. I ordered the scallops and hubby got the osso buco . By this point I was so stuffed from all the pasta that I didn't mind in the least when Hunter regretfully informed me that they had run out of scallops. But to make up for the inconvenience, we were given another order of the oysters and the tuna crudo on the house. Did I mention how wonderful the oysters are? The tuna was wonderful too. It was the perfect light finish to an incredibly rich and satisfying meal. My husband's osso buco arrived and it was a revelation. We've had (and made) the variations of the dish made with traditional lamb and even beef shank many times. Pork shank was a first. And the SAUCE!!! I wanted to lick the plate clean. In short, this was the most perfect meal we've had in a decade, since before the children came along and we had the disposable income to enjoy fine dining at Michelin-rated restaurants rather than Red Robin or Applebees. Thank you Raccolto and especially Hunter for reminding us that what a sublime dining experience could be.

Pretty restaurant with healthy looking plants. Moderate noise level. Still able to have a conversation. Service was slow but very friendly. I was just a party of one but my meal took almost 2 hours. It was Seattle restaurant week so $50 dinner for 3 courses. I loved that you get to sample all four appetizers. (They forgot to give me the asparagus but let me take it home for later.) You choose an entree and dessert from a short list (see attached picture of the options). Good food but not remarkable. I had the rigatoni. The pasta was undercooked so they re-cooked it. The dish had nice fresh peas and dill and lots of cute little mushrooms but it was lacking in flavor. Maybe the optional egg (for $2) would have helped. The lemon (1/2) tart had a nice zing. The other half was a cream tart like panna cotta with a crust. Worth a try when you want a relaxed evening.

We were able to get seating at the bar, which is very limited, to dine in for their happy hour. They have appetizers and 2 pasta entrees on their happy hour. These are great deals and ways to try some of their items for a discounted rate. Their food was great but I wasn't blown away. The portions are great and I think the noodles/pasta itself was cooked perfectly!

The pork chop

had a strong charcoal flavor , very dominant. You could really taste the grill. Personally, I didn't enjoy it, but you might like it if that's your thing.

While I was seated for my table at 6, I overheard people trying to get a table as a walk in and wait times were a couple hours long. We don't go to fancy restaurants all that often, so definitely go for it! We got their staples, their two pastas: tajarin con burro e salvia and tajarin al ragu both half portions. I thought I would like their ragu more, but I absolutely loved their butter and sage so much more. It was perfectly salted and layers of flavors. Maiale Brasato Al Latte was the other main course and it was hearty and flavorful. It was actually hard to finish this meal affter the antipasto and pasta! Not only to experience the food, but the DREAMY outdoor space I had seen all over social media. Service was excellent from start to finish. We managed to get an outdoor seat (yay!) and the vibes were immaculate from the start. It definitely gives off more romantic/date night vibes, but it was also fun to experience with some ladies from my team. Perfect for a girl's night! Obsessed with the string lights, the fountain, and the overall atmosphere. You somehow don't even realize you're in the middle of Seattle when you're here. The menu has so many options which made it so hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Fettucini ai Fungh - fresh fettuccini pasta with wild mushrooms served in a light cream sauce topped with truffle oil, and I also added chicken. When I say this is probably my FAVORITE pasta I've had in Seattle, I'm not kidding... I almost cleared my plate which is hard for me as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I made it happen! The cream sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the truffle oil was prominent without being crazy overpowering. 10/10 absolutely no notes. Hands down would have trouble ordering something else when I visit again. Without a doubt, I will be returning in the future for a date night!

We had a reservation for 7:00 PM and specifically requested outdoor seating. When we arrived, they seemed very busy, so we simply said that if our outdoor table wasn't ready, we would be okay sitting inside instead. We were only trying to be accommodating and make things easier for the staff. We were initially seated inside, but they eventually moved us outside because that was what they had available and what our reservation was originally for. At that point, the staff seemed noticeably upset with us for having sat inside. Our host then argued with us and said that we had requested to sit inside, which simply wasn't what happened. We never demanded or even preferred indoor seating. We preferred to sit outside from the beginning and only offered to sit inside if it helped because they seemed busy. It was frustrating to have our attempt to be flexible turned into an issue and then be argued with about what we had said.

Our group each had different rankings for what pizza we liked best, but the overall verdict was that the lamb sausage (special), sopressata verde (pistachio), and cacio e pepe with guanciale were all delicious. Pistachio was high on everyone's list. The basil sweet cream housemade ice cream was amazing. I could've eaten a pint of it! The negative aspect of the experience that left a sour taste in my mouth despite the delicious food is the strange way we were rushed despite having made a reservation. I was actively eating a slice of pizza with another still on my plate when the server started cleaning up plates literally right around me. It was a very strange experience. This continued for a while, and he asked for our dessert order while I was eating my pizza. He even brought out the ice cream and our check despite us mentioning potentially wanting more ice cream later when we placed the initial ice cream order. He then picked up our final signed check while we were eating the ice cream. This was quite disruptive of the overall dinner experience. So.. great pizza & ice cream, but strange service!

For those short of time and live with no adventure I'll cut to the chase. The food is exquisite…read more For the rest, please read on. This last week while traveling for business to Seattle I had the pleasure of dining at Mezzanote. Their name of course implies it is an Italian restaurant but what you don't realize until you have sat and initiated your meal is that you, regardless of choice are embarking on a beautiful tribute to Northern Italian cuisine. At first arrival, the immediate impression is one of modest presentation but friendly and very inviting ambience. The staff, including our Server Marcus was attentive and had impeccable timing to read the table and flow of those joined in the meal. Check back was perfect and his service support was equally in tune with the other tables on the patio where we sat. Now this is what you have been waiting for... The food and I mean, we had almost one of every item on the menu and every dish was simply delicious. Tastes that were balanced and never overwhelming, but truly inspired dishes that your taste buds understand that the food was made with care and meant to satisfy even the toughest of pallets. Let's start with the house focaccia and ask for the disco sauce to dip your bread. It was a tummy satisfying start but then they dropped the focaccia regala and with the cheeses melted in a medley that left me thankful I was as they say "hungry as a hostage" because the meal had just begun. The next appetizer brought out was the Carote... This medley of carrots smoked with a Chile Honey Glaze left this BBQ born and raised Mexican wondering why ?? And then I had my first forkful and any doubt that I had about the chef creating something sacrilegious by smoking carrots left me, as the flavors were amazing. For a moment I forgot I was eating my vegetables.. where was this when I was a younger man. On to the main courses and the Reginette was first up. This Bolognese was a hearty blend of flavor and subtlety as it wasn't overly anything except satisfying. The Braciola Dia Miaale was a durock pork chop with a rhubar mostarda and salsify puree with asparagus that could not have been better. You didn't have to be a pork chop fan to enjoy this at all. Every dish that arrived was better than the one before. The Bucatini C'Anciuova, Prawns with Calabrian Chile, anchovies, tomatoe and orange zest was a delight and I don't normally eat anything overly spicy. This was a balance of heat with a twist of tang that the orange zest delivered flawlessly. Allow me to share that it is imperative you save room for dessert. Their tiramisu taste as if there is some Italian grandmother locked away in a pastry room kicking these out. They have other desserts to be sure, but this is the star of the show in my opinion. For those of you that are wine enthusiast, they did have a wine list that was impressive. All in all, for those that follow me, you know that it is a rarity for me to give any place I visit five stars from the first visit. Consistency is premium in my book. But as I mentioned to one of our fellow diners. This food is amazing, and the reality is each of these dishes could be served in a five-star venue layered with opulence and still the food would outshine the location. The only drawback was there was no Coke Zero... Damn it ...Turns out though that can be a pretty tough find in the city of Seattle in all the restaurants. For one that does not participate in alcohol or wine, my taste buds were not underserved and I survived without my Zero. This place is a go-to for any Italian yearning for authentic Italian food made with love. That's the only way I can describe just how good the food is. This isn't something that is prepared in volume for the masses. The chef and that team are simply serving with their hearts and it resonates with every bite. I'll be back, again and again. Oh and should you find yourself needing to go to the restroom. Ask for the Disco restroom.. that alone is worth the drive... Lol until next time Mezzanote! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
