Quickly has such sentimental memories for me as I was growing up. It's one of the first boba tea spot to open before all the fancy boba. I love the fancy boba but ultimately I'd always come back for the fries and popcorn chicken because it's just bang for your buck and their quick. Haha no punt intended. Quickly just need a little work on consistency with the fries. Once in a while I get burnt fries at the bottom of my bag. I get soooo excited to get my fries and to find out it's burnt is kind of sad. I used to come here all the time because of school. They're super nice because I'd stay there for such a long time. I bring in dominos because it's next door and the staff there don't give a crap. The staff is pretty chill with anything we do. Get the stamp cards because if u come as often as I do, u can get discounts using the cards if u don't have money or a free drink. The place is often very packed because there are two schools nearby. They have free AC. It feels nice. The place needs a remodel because the wallpaper is peeling but there are no pest issues or anything. I'd recommend this place to chill at. read more

WORST QUICKLY EVER! Customer service is non-existent at this Temple City Quickly branch. We waited 20 minutes for a simple boba drink. Then, when I demanded my money back, the old Asian man was rude and condescending, telling me to get in the back of the line for my refund. All along, my drink was waiting for us on the counter hidden behind some clutter. He didn't properly communicate that it was ready. There are plenty of boba places to choose from in the one mile radius that I will gladly patronize. At the time of writing this review, I am the Duke, with 95 check-ins here, whether that means anything or not to you as the reader, just throwing that out there. My thoughts on this Quickly are mixed, but before elaborating on things, I want to remind people to stop treating Quickly, Lollicup, Tapioca Express, and any other low-end tea house as if they're Half & Half or Factory Tea Bar. You wouldn't compare a McDouble to a gourmet burger from a gastropub, so don't do that shit here. Here's the breakdown: PROS -High quality drinks. The milk tea and green tea do not taste watered down like at most budget tea houses and the fruit smoothies actually contain real fruit in them. Quite a pleasant surprise. -Good selection of food. I haven't really deviated from the popcorn chicken, but the menu sure has a lot of options that on paper seem pretty good to me. -Clean. The place looks like it's well maintained and there's a lot of light in here, so you can pretty much see that it's clean as well. -Large parking lot. There's usually lots of parking here, but there are times as well where it's packed due to the other business and the post office. CONS -The internet sucks major balls and I personally consider that a major issue. I've been coming here since they opened last summer and I've lost count of how many times I've gone here with the intentions to do some work on my laptop and the internet has been down. This forces me to turn my phone into a hot spot, something I'd prefer not to do. Pretty ridiculous, considering that by the owner himself stated that he wants the place to become a study spot for students. I live near another Quickly that has great internet (but crappy drinks), so whenever I choose which one to go to, it's always a trade off. It doesn't have to be that way and it shouldn't; this place can do so much better. -Service. It lacks consistency. There's people here who are good and there's a few who suck. In the month of February, there's one particular employee who has struck out twice with me now. The first time, I ordered a boba milk tea and for the first time, quality was questionable. The boba was solid, as if it had been sitting in a fridge for the last few hours. I went and told this employee and his alternative was to give me a regular milk tea as a replacement, though I paid extra for boba. Unacceptable to me, so I asked for pudding instead. He gave me the pudding and then proceeded to talk shit about me in Chinese to his co-worker because I had complained. The second time this guy struck out just happened within the last hour, prompting me to finally write a review. I ordered a boba milk tea and it took over 30 minutes for me to get my drink. 30 minutes. Boba milk tea is a stable drink that every budget tea house has instantly ready for their customer. The fact that three customers ordered food that was freshly cooked and received their food and drinks before I got my boba milk tea was appalling. I went and asked where my drink was and this dude was clueless. Not only that, he went and handed a boba milk tea to a customer who came later than me, as I was standing at the front counter. Long story short, overall good quality drinks and food, shitty internet, and a couple of isolated incidents regarding service. Will I come back? Very likely, but every time I do decide to come here rather than the much more local Quickly, I ponder whether or not I made a mistake. This Quickly is pretty clean and spacious compared to most that I've been to, so just to try out their drinks, I ordered two of my favorites; Mini Boba Milk Tea and Honey Lemon Green Tea. The milk tea was reallly good, but the mini boba were like tiny little rocks that the found off the floor, they were SO HARD and GROSS! The honey lemon green tea was....interesting, it tasted like floral infused tea, but at the same time tasted like soapy water. Maybe floral scented soap with water? I have no idea, but I couldn't tell that it was a honey lemon! The staff are okay, there was a young cashier who helped take my order, but an older lady that was eating just sat there and stared at me for a full thirty seconds before acknowledging my existence. LOL The service is fast, but they don't tell you when your drink is ready ): The drinks were okay, the service was okay, and the prices were okay. read more

I've been to this branch of Quickly various times in the past 5 months during my fall semester. Time/ Parking: Open early for breakfast: many old people come here for breakfast. Busiest times seem to be after school hours because the middle school and high school are a few blocks away, and during dinner time. I'm not sure about breakfast hours, for I haven't been here that early. They tend to close between 10pm to 11pm: a lot of people come for late night snack and drink runs. You can find parking in the plaza very easily. However, there is also one other time that is the busiest for this plaza, that of course correlates to Quickly's rush and the parking: when the art classes next door end. It gets packed and parents start to park on the streets and along the parking lot's curb to quickly pick up their kids. The lot is full and gets slightly slow to get through. There is also a small ballet school next door. Interior/ Ambience: This branch is spacious, brightly lit, and is nice for larger groups. They have about 9 or 10 tables: 2 two-person tables, a few four-person tables, a couple six-person tables. It's a good place for studying or working on projects too because not many people go there to loiter, unless for meals. There are a few spots on the walls with outlets, and there's free wifi. They play music at all times, and depending on the time of day, I've noticed that the music changes around from someone's playlist from YouTube that includes both MandoPop and K-Pop (during mornings and noon) to mainstream radio stations (afternoon and evenings), which I'm sure is to accommodate for the different age groups of people that show up during those times. Lastly, there are canvas-printed fruit pics hung on their walls, and they also have a few $1 gachapon machines near the doorway. Food/ Drinks: The food is decent, basic, and not bad. They're huge portions, and I can never finish. I think the prices give away how big or small the portions are. Example: soy sauce noodles are $3 or something, and you get it served on a est. 6x8 plate. Whereas the $6 stuff is in larger portions on bigger plates or bowls. You get what you pay for. Their meals range between $3 to $7. They have pretty good popcorn chicken because you actually get meat, unlike other tea houses that cheap out on it and don't give you bigger pieces of chicken. If you eat your snacks "for here," you get a sweet and sour sauce on the side. I haven't seen them package it for "to go" orders. My friends and I have also had their fries, which are delicious, large portioned, and very cheap compared to fast food chains. Also had fried chicken wings, which are good, pretty salty, though, but in the end not worth the price because it comes with 6 pieces, and I think it was $5 something. The drinks are also decent and basic. I haven't tried anything other than a few of their basic fruit green teas. I know there are more impressive tea houses out there, but I think it's pretty cool that they have fruit pieces in some of their teas. You end up needing to grab the thick straw instead of the usual regular one to eat them. They also have a stamp card, so you should ask for it because sometimes they'll forget to either offer it, or remind you that they can stamp it. It doesn't apply to the $1 drinks though: green tea, and whatever else is on that list. My Experiences with the Staff/ Employees: The first thing I tend to do when I get to Quickly, is order tea. Then I get to work on my projects. After hours of being there, I will get hungry and order food, but I don't get tea, because I don't want too much in a day. When I receive my order, I've had a male employee ask if I'd like some water. (Note: their water comes in the regular sized cup and is even sealed like any other drink.) There was another time when I already got my order of food, and a few minutes later, a male employee came to my table and gave me water anyways, without me even asking. Which was very considerate of him (I was there for many hours again so maybe they felt sorry for me? Haha~) I think they were two different people. Not to sound sexist or anything, but I'm not sure if the guys that work there are just more considerate because they know more English than the one or two other female employees, or it's just that I'm there when they're there. Not to make it sound like the female employees weren't nice or anything, they'd still ask if I needed an extra bowl or spoons for sharing with my bf or friends. Also, you'll see the boss chilling around this branch or at the Mission branch, watching over the place, or talking with other people that come here a lot. I've come here so much, and especially my bf, that we say hi to him. He, as well as his staff, also say bye whenever he's working behind the counter and sees you leaving, especially when the place isn't busy. Conclusion: Overall, I've enjoyed my experiences because I haven't met troubles with my orders or with the employees. :) read more

They are only thinking about themselves instead of the consumers because they change there policy on charging customers transactions fee when you don't spend $10 or more on credit card. I would typically come to this spot for a quick drink before heading to work, and today I really cut it close to being late. This is because, first, I had to wait in a long line, which is perfectly understandable and acceptable. Secondly, I waited a solid 20 minutes for my one order of an extremely simple drink. Normally, I would be fine with waiting since I understand how busy rushes are. However, with the amount of workers that they had, it made no sense for me to have to wait this long. I went up to ask them if my order had been completed since the people whose numbers were before and after mine had already received their orders. It turns out that they had thrown away the paper receipt that they use to know what orders to make and what they have to make, and I could have spent all day waiting for it to never have been made.
