RIP Quickly
Nik J.

Quickly means nostalgia and that also means nostalgia for how much boba used to cost. They somehow manage to keep things reasonable even when it seems boba is somehow competing for how expensive they can get. As of today, a medium boba here will still come under $5. Is it the finest boba using the most premium of teas? No. But did you still crave an almond slush when it seems like no one makes it anymore? Then come on over to Quickly! My only criticism is their popcorn chicken is made with what seems to be white meat so it is pretty dry (I ate one piece like jerky). I saw a manager reply below that you can ask for it less crispy and more juicy but I've had other popcorn chicken that is both crispy and juicy, I don't think you should have to make that trade off and especially at $9. You get a lot of it though. Otherwise, I love Quickly for what it is!

While in the area, we decided to stop by this Quickly location. The exterior had a more modern look compared to other Quickly spots we've visited, and the inside was clean and well-maintained. We ordered tea beverages along with popcorn chicken topped with lots of spicy powder. They were generous enough to include extra chili powder on the side, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, they were running low on boba when we arrived, so our drinks had to split what was left. To top it off, we were approached and told the shop would be closing in 10 minutes, which made us feel a bit rushed and like we were being kicked out. Strangely, as we were leaving, a large group walked in and wasn't given the same heads-up. That part left a weird impression.

Quickly is my go-to place when I crave comfort food! Their house special fried rice always hits the spot. I usually just call my order in and and it's always done when I get there. Yup, Quickly gets it done quickly and on point!!!

Menu has wide selection of food and drinks with decent prices, almost too many to list. Food tends to be on salty side. Boba and slush drinks are great. Service is over the counter and there is no restroom available for customers. This is the only Quickly restaurant I know of that doesn't have a restroom. One table had crumbs leftovers on top of it, but other than that clean and kind of outdated.

I've always loved quickly because their snacks are so delicious and their drink menu is huge!! I would definitely choose their slushies or teas more than the milk teas. The prices for the snacks are unbelievably cheap for the amount and deliciousness you get. The cashier wasn't too friendly but I am assuming it is because she was the only one working. You can come here to hangout with friends or family to grab a drink and some popcorn chicken. It did get kind of hot inside. Great experience! Yummy snacks!! Refreshing drinks!!!

My wife and I visited Oops Boba on the weekend and it wasn't busy at all. We ordered on Fantuan and…read moreour order was ready within 5-10 minutes. Parking - Street parking only, no dedicated parking lot. Interior is pretty clean, cafe vibes, and some tables around but not too many. There's a huge table for big groups as well which is nice. There's also a self ordering kiosks which is always a nice sight to see when you visit tea shops. We tried the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea and the Oops Cheese Matcha Smash which seems to be one of their more popular drinks. The white peach is what you expect, refreshing and easy to sip. Very happy with the drink overall. As for the Oops Cheese Matcha Smash, aesthetically, the drink is great for photos. It looks more like a swirl drink than anything. I love the overall texture of the drink. It was also as refreshing as the white peach. The cheese mix with the matcha created a swirling feeling, each sip is filled with both flavoring, highly recommend. Excited to revisit again later on, love their menu options, and it seems like a decent spot to hangout with friends or a group despite the smaller space.

It's crisp black tea, salty & sweet brulee foam, and non-dairy milk with bouncy, perky boba pearls. I sipped happily. I arrived at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) on Sunday (around 11:12AM). Parking is simple since there's a nearby neighborhood with street parking. I quickly found a spot. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or the counter. I chose the self-service kiosk, and I regret it because I dislike how the self-service kiosk requires the customer's phone number to proceed. Staff communicates well. After ordering, Staff honestly & politely informed me that they'd need 20 additional minutes for their Boba since they recently opened. I was perfectly fine with that since they spoke upfront and honestly. After the 20 minutes passed, the drink took four minutes and 14 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Baked Brulee Milk Tea ($6.59) with Boba (additional 75 cents). It's delicious. This chill drink carries a crisp tea flavor. The foam is also zesty with a soft sweetness. It reminds me of a creamy milk tea. In addition, they made wonderful boba pearls. These boba pearls are sweet, bouncy, and playful. YUM! On ambiance, Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) is a wonderful spot to study/work. There's a long wooden table with 9 electrical plug spots, and there's four available electrical outlets. The location also includes customer internet with password; the details are confidently shown on the counter. The location also has a gender neutral restroom in the back, and there's plentiful hand sanitizer bottles in reach. The location felt clean and comfortable. Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City) uses its space well. There's four tables and one long wooden table. There's also two small outside tables. During my stay, it felt very comfy as I listened to its smooth music. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Oops Boba Tea & Coffee (Temple City). They serve wonderful drinks and boba. If searching for a place to study/work, this is an easy recommendation. 4.8 out of 5

I've also tried their Japanese hojicha latte and osthmanthus before and that was really good too. Honestly, I haven't had a miss here yet. The inside is nice and spacious with lots of seating, making it a perfect place to get work done or catch up with friends. Service is friendly, and there's plenty of parking either on the street or in the back lot. Definitely one of my go to spots!

I don't not enjoying writing…read morethis review as I enjoy the coffee and the friendly service, but this place cuts corners on labor and it needs to be called out. I used to come here pretty often but not so much anymore. One reason, consistently long wait times, even if you order ahead online. I have only seen two people working and it's obvious that that at least three are needed. If anybody ahead of you orders multiple drinks or even worse, if they order food, you are not going anywhere soon. Example: I ordered two lattes and there was only one person ahead of me who wore 1 drink and one person already sitting in the cafe whom ordered food. I was there waiting for my 2 drinks for almost 20 minutes. The staff that I interacted with are friendly. Staff are overworked as they are under staffed, and ultimately, customers like myself suffer because Fika can't bother to pay for enough labor. To make matters even worse, their seating is uncomfortable. Only concrete and wood seats with odd shaping. If you're going to make customers wait so long, at least provide comfortable seating. I'm writing this review in hopes that this place will turn it around. It has so much potential but it is too expensive for service so slow, and cheap seating.

Unfortunately they have discontinued their weekday combo menu making it less worth the drive for us…read moreso we're not sure when we'll next be back. The good news is, their chicken steak is still just as yummy! We ordered: - Grilled chicken steak with black pepper sauce and spaghetti (4/5): Super crispy skin and juicy chicken. The black pepper sauce adds a fragrant touch - much better pairing than the mushroom sauce we got on a previous visit. The spaghetti portion is smaller than at most other HK cafes and isn't as good though. - Baked sole filet with rice and white sauce (3/5): Had high expectations for this dish but it didn't quite meet them. The rice used was plain white rice which isn't what I'm used to at other HK cafes and it left me a bit disappointed since it meant the dish was much more monotone in flavor and there were bites that were unflavorful. The fish itself was generously portioned and easy to eat with the warming cheese and white sauce combo. Wouldn't get again only because I know other spots that do it much better but decent overall. - Beef stew with noodle (3/5): Had expected this to be dry style with the beef stew over softened egg noodles but it came out as a soup. Beef pieces were tender and generous. Egg noodles were a bit overcooked. - Sticky Rice Dim Sum: They were massive and decent in flavor. They were a little mushy I think because it had been steaming a while (which was probably why they were quick to be served) but we didn't mind - Siumai: Generous amount of fish egg on top and was pleasantly meaty. We found parking in the front but also know there's a lot in the back. The restaurant itself is big and pretty empty and quiet. We were glad that service was friendly and quick this visit since the first time we were there one of the servers gave us attitude.

I haven't seen prices like that in ages! It reminded me of visiting Cafe Spot back in the day in Alhambra on Valley Blvd. We weren't too hungry, so we shared an order of fried chicken wings and a minced beef with egg over rice. Both dishes were tasty, and we even had leftovers from each. My osmanthus milk tea had a very light floral flavor, but for the price, I really can't complain. You can customize your drink, which I did with easy ice and half sugar. Since we came during off-hours, we were the only customers the entire time and basically had the place to ourselves. I'd definitely come back again!
