Tried almost every flavor of macarons, cupcake, and egg puffs. Ok.. First things first.. $2!!! For a small ass macaron. It's the size of a ping pong ball. Really? It is way overpriced. I went to a place called Fusion Tea Bar in irvine and not only is it twice as big, the texture and taste is better and it is $1.50. Puffect is a rip off! Cupcakes are not good. It is refrigerated and not fresh. Only thing that's decently priced and pretty good is the egg puff. Tried the original, red velvet, and black sesame and the add-ons of cinnamon. They ran out of mochi when I went. I'm glad there's a macaron place in the SGV area but they gotta make some changes. read more

This is a very clean, and well set-up bakery/cafe. I met John and Sheri today and got a chance to learn a little more about their start-up business and their great "future" ideas. I am picky about cupcakes and I have to state that the three my boyfriend and I tried today (Green Tea, Samoa & S'mores) were delicious; very moist and tasty! They informed me that they provide different flavors all the time so I will have to go back and sample some other delightful cupcakes. I didn't select any Macarons this time around but I have to say that the selection of flavors looked appealing. The size of their Macarons are right on - if comparing it to the famous Ladurée shop in Paris (Yes, I mean Paris, France, not Paris, CA). Some may say that the Macaron is too small, but if you are going to try to compare it to shops that make large Macarons that are beyond the average size, then of course it's going to seem small. I like that their drinks are more natural, using real fruits. Cinnamon Sugar Egg Puff was delightful with the sweet condensed milk buttercream. The horchata macaron is so delicious! I could probably eat a dozen of them... Not a huge fan of the coffee I tried (both hot and cold). Also tried the strawberry banana nutella egg puff with mochi inside. Honestly not a big fan. Their salted caramel tasted way off, it had an off putting taste and I couldn't finish it. The banana Nutella was meh; the frosting was extremely oily and didn't have much flavor. The s'mores tasted like a boxed mix. The Thai tea macaron didn't have any Thai tea flavor at all and their cookie butter tasted great. The customer service was fine, the woman was friendly. I had heard of Puffet Bakery Cafe from friends and family members that worked nearby, and it only took me this long to finally try it. I came in and was instantly drawn to their adorable animal macarons. Even though those particular ones were $3 a piece, I decided to splurge for the sake of the experience and bought a box of 6 to take home. Still not regretting my decision. I also decided that I wanted to get some internship apps in and so I brought my laptop and accessed their fast wifi and ordered a red velvet egg puff with cream cheese and their black rose tea. Since it was my first time eating an egg puff, I can't really compare how good it is to others, but I will say that I loved it so much that I devoured it rather quickly. The rose black tea came in a pot with a little flame burning beneath to keep it warm. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and the girly atmosphere here (they have pink walls and chandeliers - can't get more girly than that). The only reason why I took off one star was because they seemed to be out of multiple things such as the thai tea egg puff and the first tea I had asked for. It wasn't even 2pm, so I was just a bit confused as to why this was the case. However, I'll definitely still come back if only to try the thai tea egg puff to satisfy my curiosity. read more

I had high hopes for this place. I was excited to see that a bakery was opening in Walnut that sold macarons. I bought the blueberry cheesecake, lychee, red bean and Nutella macarons. I have to say that I loved seeing a place that is doing new flavours and not the same few I keep seeing at other places. However, the macarons themselves were rather disappointing. For one, they were $2 each, which is a little bit on the high side for macarons, but I was willing to pay that amount if they were top notch. Unfortunately, they were not. The cookies were tinier than most and did not have the texture I expected. The Nutella one was super chewy and fell apart when I bit into it. The other flavours were too crispy and not chewy at all. Wowwwww this place is just incredible!!! The quality of every single thing I've tried here has just blown me away, from the adorable macarons to the yummy drinks (the white tea with peach and strawberry is out of this world!!) and paninis . The owner, Cherie, is so friendly and welcoming, she really makes you feel like family and goes out of her way to accommodate special dietary restrictions like a gluten allergy. It's a lovely atmosphere to study or relax with friends. Cherie even brought us these gorgeous white chocolate-covered strawberries to help re-energize us while we were studying. The fruit fusion tea was very refreshing, and included large pieces of fruit at the bottom. I will however ask for a little more sweetner next time. I go to this bakery so often, customer service means a lot and they are very prompt and nice. I have tried a couple of their paninis and i love them, the chicken caesar and the capresse. I also have tried their egg puffs, they are really good. But one of my favorites is the passion fruit tart! Their teas are always spot-on for me, i was reading previous reviews and I have not have an inconsistant experience, they always ask me how sweeten i want my tea.
