This storage location is absolutely horrible. The day after I moved my property in someone tried to break in my unit to steal my property. Oh and shall I mention that this was at 2:30pm on a weekday afternoon in broad daylight no less! Then I was notified, the following day! I just got lucky that whatever moron decided to use an angle grinder to take my lock off apparently didn't know how to use the grinder and damaged the hasp so once the lock came off, the door was unable to be opened due to that damage to the hasp. Oh yea did I mention that the loud grinding and attempted theft of my property happened at 2:30pm on a weekday afternoon? But no worries right cause there's camera's on the property and the property manager lives there right? And my units secure because you have to have a code to get in or your unit alarm goes off and then they immediately check it, right? WRONG!! So first off they left a message on my phone the following day, why not when it happened or when you realized it happened? Then, because of my request for a new gate code so no one could go on the property without me, after an argument with my boyfriend, they decided to use him as the scapegoat saying he was the one that broke into the unit! Uh only problem is it's our property in the unit and he was with me the previous day all day so no. When I went down there to talk to them and confront them they said oh we had just assumed it was your boyfriend and then stated that the cameras in my aisle conveniently didn't work and the property manager just happened to be off the property when this occurred and the fact that the alarm went off wasn't checked until the property was closed. When asked about them being able to see who came in and out of the property by following someone in or if they had used a different gate code to get in cause they said the alarm had gone off, which means the gate code for MY unit had not been put in to enter the property. I was told they couldn't access the camera footage and they would have to put in a request to corporate for it. Would you be surprised if I told you they never were able to get that footage for some reason? Yea I didn't think anyone would be surprised by that revelation. Here's another little handy fact, I've worked for 3 different storage facilities over the years and used the same camera software as well as the same customer database software that's used at this storage facility and to pull the footage from the cameras? It literally takes minutes and can be accessed at the computer right there on their desk. So gee that was another lie. Now you tell me your opinion, does it sound like the property manager Melody just might have a hand in it? Then if you want to read the reviews for this property going back years with this same issue of peoples units being broken into and robbed I would suggest you look up Central Self Storages reviews at this same address because that's what this place was named before public storage took it over. But they may have changed names but the manager that's been mentioned as involved in a lot of the negative comments and accusations of theft is still the same. So just one last thing, if you want your rates increased like 3 times a year so you can pay ridiculous amounts of money to have your property stolen, as in essentially your paying them to rob you, and above market rate at that, then this is totally the place for you. read more
