Public Storage calls their units "an extension of your home." That might be true if your home leaks, damages your furniture, and sends debt collectors after you. We rented a 10x20ft unit and moved in many of our belongings, trusting that the space would be dry and secure. In February, we discovered clear signs of water intrusion. The floor was scattered with leaves, debris, and mineral stains from runoff. Large chunks of dirt and grime had washed in, and several storage boxes were visibly affected. Two expensive chairs were permanently stained from rainwater dripping down from pressure treated beams above. This caused about $400 in damage. The onsite manager was nowhere to be found, which was typical. Repeated calls went unanswered. With more rain expected, we had to act quickly and move everything to another facility. When I finally reached the manager on March 3, I explained the situation. Their only response was, "Talk to your insurance." No apology. No refund for February, even though the unit was not usable as promised. That same day, I received an email confirming that my balance was zero. Four hours later, they charged my credit card another $261 for March, even though I had already moved out. I disputed both charges with my credit card company: one for the month when the unit leaked, and another for the month I never used. I won both disputes. Now, Public Storage has sent the matter to collections, trying to strong-arm me into paying for a service they failed to deliver. They are threatening to damage my credit over a situation that was their fault from the start. Even before the water intrusion, the unit had a strong, foul odor. At one point, we noticed what appeared to be rodent droppings. Between the smell and the mess, the unit clearly was not being maintained properly. Bonus warning: Do not be fooled by the hundreds of glowing Google reviews. When we posted this same honest review with photos on Google Maps, it was visible for a few minutes, then disappeared. It looks like Public Storage or its supporters actively flag critical reviews to make them vanish. If their rating seems too good to be true, it probably is. There are plenty of storage companies that care about their customers and actually maintain their facilities. This is not one of them. Avoid Public Storage. read more

Currently renting a 5x10 space inside. This place is always nice and clean. The manager Josie is very helpful, she even brought my family some bottled waters while we moved in on a hot day!! The unit itself is large enough to hold a studio apartment as long a you break down your large items. The inside is well ventilated and well lit. I really want to Love this place when I started here at public storage. It's was perfect for everything I needed for. The staff were all lovely minus 1. Josie was the best. I moved here because of location, price and time availability. I have been here for about 2 years and the rent has doubled and the hours you can access your storage is very difficult. I was told the times would go back to Normal but they have not. I if you work a normal 9/5 job you will never be able get access morning or evening. I have had to take a day off just to get to access the storage. I use mine for business so not have access to get what I need is very upsetting especially when we have the highest rent in town. All the other places are 7-7 public is 9:30-6 not even 12 hours. I am in the process of moving as of today but otherwise if don't mind barley having access to your storage the place is great. read more

Pros - the girl at the front desk was great at her job! super friendly, efficient, and kind... The units are temperature controlled, and clean, and the security code in and out is a nice touch. Now for the reason I give them two stars... they are over priced, and they quote prices that don't include all of the small print items... They require you buy their kind of lock and buy rental insurance minimum $9/month on top of rental - lock is in the $25 range- with 1/2 off first month total move in to a 5x5 was $77 -- not nearly as good as they advertise... I've rented other units in the bay area, that were just as nice, that didn't make you buy their $25 lock, and didn't require renters insurance... when I'm quoted a price over the phone... silly me I expect it to be the price I'm quoted, not to find out there's a bunch of add ons, on moving day when its 95 degrees and my car is full of stuff and my dog. Ultimately, I learned a lesson... so hopefully none of you will! Before you rent a storage unit ask about: 1. extra fees for renting the unit 2. what kind of lock you need 3. renters insurance I'm glad my stuff is there, and I'm sure it will be safe, but I won't rent a unit from them again..... read more

After renting a storage unit here I do not recommend this storage facility, After my wife's personal items and vintage collectibles etc where stolen. She was never notified that someone broke into her unit we even found someone else's property in with hers. When she told that so call bi-ch manager Nicole, she was told she could file a police report but nothing will be done. they say her insurance was cancel awhile back without notice. We also found what looks to be credit card fraud due to several credit card numbers which only two were my wife's the rest did not belonging to either one of us we saw on past and present payment history they were posted to her account there is so much to tell and will read more

I decided to use that location because it was convient to my home and job.My expectations were not that high because I'd used a small company before whose customer service was superior.For example, I called and told the owner I was going to be late because I had to handle funeral cost.The owner said no problem and comped 2 months of my rent.I would never expect a human touch let that at a big chain such as public storage. I was proven wrong.I met Nicole for check-in with my two year old.She was prompt.I guess she could see my child's attention span leaving; helped with my box selection and purchase and even shared a mom-to mom tip about rubber bands I use to this day. Of course Public Storage the company met all the business expectations; fair pricing, clean units, easy access,secure premises.What makes this location a jewel are the employees- Nicole and the other lady I spoke with whose name didn't more but the interaction was personable and informative. My husband and I are in the midst of a military PCS from Travis to Virginia and needed temporary storage of our household goods (about 45 days). From phone and in person interactions, you can tell the ladies who work here, especially Nicole, are passionate about their job and people in general. We were able to get the unit we needed at a price that worked for us along with packing accessories as well. When we discovered the unit we got wasn't big enough, we were able to get a second one that was perfect for the rest of our stuff. The facilities are clean and secluded, so I felt great leaving all of our belongings here. When the military movers came, they were able to access our units with ease. as a whole this place has worked out fine but when it comes to customer service i was surprised at how bad it was. I went in today a little before 5pm and couldn't remember my actual number where my things were stored so i called while in front of the building i knew it was at. No answer. So i figured there might be a line inside so i drove over to talk to someone in person and there was one woman there on her cell phone having a personal conversation. So i stood and waited for about 2 minutes and she looked at me and mouthed "Sorry" and then continued her conversation for another minute or so. At that point i was just over it. I've worked in customer service my whole life and to just continue your cell phone conversation rather than give me 2 minutes of your time to just look up my location you just keep talking on the phone? Very professional. On top of the fee, you have to buy storage unit insurance, minimum is $8. You have an option to have either a storage that's indoors or outside where you can just drive up to. Before you enter you have to punch in the code that they give you and proceed. Gate hours are from 6am-9pm. So far no complaints :) read more

I would not recommend this place to anybody. I got a storage unit and was forced to buy there lock. Two months later my storage unit was robbed. I went to complain and found out the cameras do not record. They force you to buy insurance and when I filed a case for my stolen items they decline my claim. I have lost a lot of stuff that had monetary value as well as sentimental value. They did not try anything thing to comfort me they were rude and could careless about my lost. read more
