This place was great for the first few months. The woman who runs it is very nice and helpful. But then they raised the rent more than double. it should be illegal to raise a tenants rent more than 100% in just a few months. How do storage rentals get away with this? housing landlords cant increase a tenants rent more than 10% a year so what makes it ok for these #$$%!@ to raise it over 100% in a few months? read more

Rented a U-Haul from here I drive 14 miles, they charged me to fill up 3 gallons for 14 miles of driving I didn't even leave the truck running while stopped. 6 dollars per gallon they charged lol. The truck gets 5 miles per gallon...????? Yah right. 1 gallon at most. Cmon guys! read more

I got a 10x15 storage unit at Smalltown storage in February 2024. They offered me a storage unit deal for 3 months @ 156$. Rent would then be 256$ after deal expired. On 7/1 storage fee all of a sudden increased. They claim they sent me a rent increase letter, effective 7/1/24, raising rent 83.00$ more a month. I never received the letter.I called the facility and explained, why would I get a storage that increase their rates in less than 6 months when I live on a limited income budget. You never disclosed to me when I decided to get a storage unit there. Be careful renting there due to their rent deals and increases. read more

This is a wonderful storage facility. The lady's in the office are kind and very helpful. When we bought the unit last September they are straight and to the point of how much and what the rules were. We felt that our things were protected there. The unit area was always clean. Ive been with small town storage for over 3 years now, When I first moved in needed a large storage, the biggest they had was 20x20. I needed something bigger so they took 2-20x20 storage units and took the center wall down and made me a custom 40x40 storage! Which is a perfect size for me, not only did they give me a large unit but also gave me a great deal. Also the lady up front Trish is always helpful, whenever I have questions about my unit or I need a truck rental, she always is glad to help me and is very helpful. this is a great storage place if you want reasonable prices and also late night access which they offer. read more

I don't know where to start. Trish was by far the most helpful person in helping me customer service was a 10 she walked me to my rv spot and showed me how most people pull in and turn around. She even asked if I need a spotter and someone is in the office they would be more then happy to help. 24 hr surveillance which is what I wanted and someone also lives on site. The facility is clean and nice , I don't have to worry about my stuff being broken into like the last unit I had . (Not going to name the place) . Trish was helpful, friendly an knowledgeable when I contacted company for rental unit options. After discussing some options she came up with practical ones as well. In short, rented space for our short term. Real happy entrance code to secure location worked well because entered at dinnertime /later a few times in darkness. Lots of lights. Application was seamless though docusign document did not work first day but following day. Really pleasant company to work with on your rental unit needs. I put my possessions in two inside half units on Dec. 2019. Everything was ok until this past week. I had informed the assistant that on July 1, 2021, I would be moving my things out. On June 20th I received a phone message to call the facility, that it was urgent. I called and left a message. My husband went to the facility that night and found different locks on our units and several other units. I called the next day and the office manager told me the units were broken into. I immediately went down to find my sectional, dining room credenza and two lamps were missing. I asked if they had called the police when they found the units had been broken into and they said no, that it was up to me to call the police. They also didn't know when the burglary happened. I did file a police report and the reporting officer was also surprised that they didn't call the police when they found out the units were broken into. The office manager said they have security cameras on the outside but not in the inside units. They would look at the camera footage this week. The assistant also informed me that she was gone the week this happened. I was later informed by the office manager that the assistant was gone only one day. Was there no one else watching the facility? This facility has a gated code to open the gates. If you don't have a code you can't activate the gates to open. Somehow these burglars got in. Do your due diligence and check the facility of your choice by asking questions about their security. I regret that I didn't. read more

RAT INFESTED!!!! Do not store your belongings here!! My things are ruined covered in rat feces and urine! and the supervisor told me it was MY responsibility to poison them or set traps if I wanted to!? she did NOTHING about this! so upset! Absolutely disgusted in what we seen. read more

I would not recommend this storage facility. When we last visited it we found most of our items covered in rat feces and urine. In addition our furniture and large items which could not be boxed were chewed up. We quickly removed and cleaned the things that could be saved but the people at the center still insisted on charging us rent for this month and refused to discuss any compensation. I hope no one else has to go through this as well. read more

Just went to my storage there today after months of not needing too. I couldnt do what I needed to which was pull out several things to look for something. The first thing I pulled out had tons of rat poop and pee all over it. I tried pulling down some rubbermaids from the top and I was being hit with flying poop that fell from the top of the rubbermaids. That was my last straw. I quickly put it back, after noticing some rat poison on the ground that was thrown in there (not by me) and will be back tomorrow to take pictures and I will be vacating and writing a letter. Last week I needed a rental truck at the last minute (for items purchased at Scandinavian Designs right next door) and I got fabulous service! Not only was the Trish helpful (making sure I set the controls properly in he truck so that I would get better gas mileage), she was friendly and very obliging, even making sure we had a place to leave our car while we were gone (so that she could watch over it!). Be Careful with your contact with this place. In the beginning everything was great but once leaving the manager did act very shady by giving out my PAID FOR SPACES to another customer. I rented 2 RV Spaces and paid up to end of the month but they rented out my 2 spaces before the month was up just because she(Trish) seen me move my RV. Mind you I had an RV and a truck on file so I wanted to still use the space for my truck for the rest of the month. I was locked out of my account and of course access to my space while they were STILL PAID FOR! I would not recommend this place. Trish excuse was that she seen me move my Rv so she assumed I was gone and closed my account. REALLY? I would not recommend this place, there are much better places read more
