I only use Security Public Storage. Carol, the owner is magnificent! I wanted to store many items for 4 months and Carol offered me her special for $78 a month instead of the regular price of $232 a month. She didn't begin charging me until I actually moved my stuff into my storage unit. My lower rate will end in a month. Carol offered me another rate of $155 in stead of the regular rate of $232 a month. The units are very clean, protected from rodents and monitored with motion cameras 24 hours a day. We kept our valuables with Security Public Storage for two years. I did extensive research to find a place with great reviews, and this place stood out from the rest because they prided themselves on their cleanliness/no presence of vermin and their reviews reflected that. I was so thankful to find them even if it meant we had to travel a little further, and felt confident in leaving our valuables with them. Unfortunately, we opened our unit to a dead mouse and an incredible amount of rat feces and urine all over our things. :( A lot of our things were even chewed on. Our tv, mattresses, couch, and other electronics were all damaged beyond repair. It has been heartbreaking to move into our new place and have our kids not able to sleep on their mattresses or sit on our couch, let alone having to clean up this disgusting mess and even toss some things into the dumpster because of the damage. Honestly, really gross and disheartening. It gets worse because Carol has been so nice and assured us that their insurance (that's included, which is also why we came here just in case something happened) will be able to help, so we went ahead and filed the claim only to find out they only cover $400 in damage when we have well over that.. it's been disappointment after disappointment, and even when asking for some sort of courtesy or credit of any kind direct from the Vacaville facility, the regional manager denied and left us with our damaged goods. Sorry Security Public Storage, but this has been truly disappointing and heartbreaking for our family. We were better off leaving our valuables in an alley, they are damaged and nothing can change that. And the lack of compassion and courtesy is the cherry on top. Save your money people! read more

I've been a customer for many years here at this location and feel like I'm being taken advantage of. 6 months ago had rates hiked and then a few months ago, multiple units in the bldg had rodents and feces infestation which destroyed thousands of dollars worth of my possessions. Then, a few weeks back was notified of another rate hike after being told that they had roof leaks and needed our lock keys to inspect the unit. I've never had a problem until the rate hikes numerous times within a year's worth of time and it's not even that, it's that my possessions have been damaged. Is it "secure storage"? Not-so-much. The attendants and managers there are really cooperative and it's not their fault necessarily but if you're looking for your possessions to be damaged, I'd go somewhere else. read more

The location is extremely convenient, the units are clean, and the staff is very friendly. A 20x10 unit is running us about $290/month. I'm not sure how that compares to other facilities but so far we've been happy we chose Security Public Storage. I used to be a customer here in the 1990s, before I purchased my home and before they switched to a new company. I sold that home and needed a place to put my belongings for a bit. I was hesitant first, because I was unsure if they had lost what made them special when they joined a larger company. I am happy to report, they are still the secure, safe place to store your stuff with a fantastic live on site staff that is friendly, professional and extremely helpful. There was a break in shortly after I moved in, one tenant kicked in the walls and went through the next unit, but because of the great security the thieves were documented, caught, prosecuted, and the renters of the unit that was used to commit the crime was immediately evicted. I couldn't ask for a better solution to a situation like this since you can't stop bad apples from acting out. VERY professional, clean, and secure. Knowing that if something should happen it is resolved immediately is a great weight off my mind. read more

Both the ladies at the front desk have great customer service. I wish it were cheaper but its pretty standard pricing for the area. They are honest and upfront about pricing and add the insurance into the price so there is no surprises. We needed a unit because of a sudden loss and having to store a loved ones belongings and it was just a great pleasant experience talking to the ladies here.
