    Met the two movers; Ryan & Steven at the storage unit and they were right on time. They were very professional and packed everything nice and neat and securely. They were very upbeat and worked so so hard!! The move was to the new apartment which was on the 3rd floor. They were troopers and always professional. They hustled and never even took a break. I would definitely use this company again. I would recommend again.

    Yelp copied my one quote request to another company, to about 15 other moving companies at just the click of my mouse. Needless to say it was very competitive, but I went with these guys for a couple reasons. They don't charge you for drive time back to their warehouse. To me, that's like clocking out of your job once you get home, instead of when you're done at work. I also liked their prices $95/hr for two guys, $50 fuel charge and $25 blankets fee, three hour minimum. Many were quoting me pretty much the same thing, but I went with my instincts based on conversing with the owner. He seemed very humble, dedicated and honest. Admittedly, what pulled me over the edge was a picture the owner posted of his toddler daughter. I'm a sucker for hard working people who love their families. Lucky and Darren were on time at 9am on a Saturday morning. They were friendly and ready to work immediately. They both moved quickly and kept it light with some upbeat teamwork chatter here and there. You know, like "Okay baby you got this?? :-D Watch the corners baby." Haha good solid bro stuff. They were very careful with my things and I never once sensed that this was a "drag" for them or that they didn't want to be there. Lucky was very insistent that I think of anything and everything for him to grab and he even had a giant box on wheels for odds and end items. They blanketed my door frames which to me illustrated a higher level of awareness than I've experienced before. Can't tell you how many times I've seen my door jambs dinged up. They also drove down the hill with our stuff loaded up like 100 year old grandparents. The care they put into loading, transporting, and unloading our things was outstanding. Also, I'm really sensitive to energies and bad attitudes and I must say I liked these dudes very much. They're hard working, and sincere people. Will use them again if the occasion arises :o)

    WARNING TO ANYONE HIRING THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY MILITARY ** edit to also reply to Marco that I have Yelp documentation that we asked for a box and move - again as others have said he is a liar. My father never touched a backpack, he had witnesses with him and was looking for MY phone charger. My father lives far away from town and has no idea whose stuff is whose, and he did not even touch their things, it is almost laughable how much they blow things out of proportion. I feel uncomfortable with how the owner treats his customers, luckily my phone call was on speaker with him and witnessed by several people. One of the movers left THEIR phone charger at our new place which my father gladly returned no harm done. Again, these movers are way over sensitive and over react to everything. Please beware. We will be filing a BBB report as well. We booked these movers to move our things, we have never had an issue with movers. Before I continue explaining our experience please also note while dealing with this mess I am a high risk pregnant woman who recently had been hospitalized for seizures, and we have a 1 year old son. Everything started off as a normal, and I was at our new apartment managing where things go and watching my son while my husband and father were supervising the move at our old place. I called my husband saying I needed help over here and felt sick, so he told my father to keep an eye on the movers for him while he tended to other matters. My husband is the sweetest man you could meet. Suddenly the movers freaked out and accused us of saying that they were criminals and said that they felt "watched" and "uncomfortable" . Things were taken the wrong way and blown COMPLETELY OUT OF PROPORTION. my husband was simply just telling my father to stay in our place so someone was there to ask questions and make sure our furniture wasnt damaged. Like any house we have valuables, sentimental items, and again like any family you supervise movers in your home. No big deal right? They also said my father was intimidating when he literally spoke one sentence to them about not letting our cat out. Next thing I hear is Marco, the owner, calls my husband and verbally abused him on the phone. Yelling at the top of his lungs! To a customer?!?! How is that being a manager, yet alone an owner, professional??? My husband and I took the bigger stand and made sure the movers know it was a huge misunderstanding and to continue with the move after they threatened to just leave because of something so silly. I offered them water, coffee, and snacks. May I also add we opted for a box and move. My husband told them to manage the big things first then we will do the small things after. The movers, again without communicating with us or ASKING QUESTIONS, assumed that we just wanted big furniture done, when hello we asked for a BOX AND MOVE. They left everything small. Nothing hardly boxed. You call that a move? How am I, pregnant with my husband supposed to complete that. So, after assuming the move was done and seeing what was left we were so upset. At this point you expect a discount for the move being completely abandoned. I called Jennifer asking for a discount( which by the way she was the only sensible and professional person we spoke to) and she said Marco would call me. So I'm expecting to hear from a professional manager/owner. Marco calls me and again verbally abuses me now. He YELLS at me, cussing left and right as I calmly kept asking him for a discount, lost track of how many times i was cussed at, I'm in tears , pregnant and just trying to get our situation resolved.... and this man is just at my throat saying many hurtful words, and threatening police, lawyers, and rambling about how great he is with his "million dollar company" . My husband ended up having to take the phone because of how abusive Marco was treating me on the phone. I have NEVER been reduced to tears from a manager of a company. Ever. Jennifer kindly gave us the 15% discount I asked for, and spoke to me with such sympathy and APOLOGIZED for Marco. Marco should be the one apologizing. However, Jennifer we appreciate your professionalism and understanding. Quite frankly, she should run the company instead. Marco also should consider taking anger management classes, because clearly he cant handle his temper. If he talks this way to customers I cant imagine how he treats family. We will be informing military TMO office (moving coordinator) about how abusive this company is to make sure no military families will deal with this like we did. No one should be subjected to that. If anyone has questions you can please message me and I will explain further the situation. We have a right to review this company so we are. Ignore those 5 star reviews, they are clearly manipulating the bad reviews out. There is NO way this is a 5 star company. Below are pictures of what was not boxed. There should be 4 pictures attached.

    This is a warning/PSA to NEVER hires QUALITY AND EFFICIENT MOVERS for local moves EVER!! I am moving locally and decided to have movers come and move the bigger things for me to ease this move for me. I called these movers because their reviews looked good (I don't know how in the world they had such high reviews). So i call and the owner MARCO keeps telling me over and over about how busy his schedule was, and how his men are all over the place, but that he could schedule me in for the day I requested, I said sure! So fast forward to the day his men were supposed to come, he calls and said they were running late and that they would be there in an hour. Two and a half hours go by and the men finally show up. The men who work for this owner were nice and very helpful, packed what I needed, and I had them send it to two different location. I paid them, and they ended up charging me extra for a 'late fee' (even though they were late getting to me, they said they had to charge me the 15 minute late fee, made no sense but I was so over it by that point I let it slide). The next day I am unpacking my things and realized that the men didn't drop off one of my boxes. I call the owner MARCO who claims that he is on a call but that he would look for it and give me a call in an hour to tell me whether or not he got it or now. Fast forward THREE HOURS he still never got back so me, so I called him and he claimed he was out of state on a move and that his men were on calls so he didn't know when he could get my box to me. I said that didn't make any sense because I paid them for the job, they need to drop my box off at my address as soon as possible. He kept cutting me off mid sentence and going on and on about how his men were in San Jose and he was out of state but that they should drop it off to me later on that evening (this is day 2 mind you). So I got so frustrated that I just told him to leave it at his place of business and I would pick it up in the morning. He said he would call me the following morning to let me know that it was there. Fast forward the following morning, I didn't receive any calls and I had to go to work so I ended up texting him and telling him I could not wait any longer for him to respond and that I needed him to drop off my package to my residence. He then proceeds to send me this message, I legitimately couldn't believe what I read. I am sending this out to let you all know that this is how his owner treats his customers if there is ANY mishaps or things don't go the way he planned. He may advertise as being the cheapest around but just know this is what you are going to get.

    Our first experience with Kenneth at California Bear was memorable. We had an old freestanding…read morewood stove that we sold on Craigslist. It wasn't until the buyer got it partially disassembled and he and I got it halfway out of my house that we realized how heavy and difficult the haul away was. Kenneth to the rescue! A hauling company we'd used before was busy, but Kenneth fit us in, was there in 20 minutes, and had the stove gone in less than another 20! Naturally, we wanted to have Kenneth back. We've had a LOT of contractors, haulers, etc., either never show up or not follow up, so we want to hold on to the reliable and punctual ones. We scheduled some demo work for the area where the stove was. Kenneth was again punctual, courteous, professional, and a great value, and followed through 'til the job was done. Thanks again, Kenneth. We look forward to having you back at our next job!
