Q&E movers cancelled on me over a week ago last minute due to short staffing and when I rescheduled to a different day (where I had to take off work early) the company no showed on me without informing me they were no longer coming. I'm a faithful customer to reputable businesses, so it's their loss completely. I do not recommend this "company"! I had to continuously follow up and was never notified they were no longer coming. No apology for the inconvenience; just a careless and disgusting attitude from the owner who's texts I've attached. I will never beg a company to take my money. NEXT! .... After posting my initial review, Marco the owner texts me the attached: This guy cancels our job, I again give the company another chance... & they no show; not even informing me they weren't coming, and I'm in the wrong for posting my experience with them?! Thank God I see the true colors and now I definitely don't feel remotely bad for this review of my experience.... Be careful who you allow in your home... These worldly demons come in human form! If you don't want the bad reviews you rightfully earn then offer "quality & efficient service" . Guilt tripping me with you having kids.. I have my own that I lost hours of work from while waiting for your crew that never showed up. I'm kind and understanding and would have given them even another chance, but the blatant disregard without notifying me after I took time away from work is completely unacceptable. PS. My husband will be reaching out to you soon. read more

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. Please read the pics, because the owner thought that deleting his comments would somehow erase them? I watched long videos of the owner Marco cussing out my family while doing his job, which he was never able to finish because of his temper. Unbelievably unprofessional and extremely childish in logic. Unreal behavior. This screenshots are of a conversation my family had with another person who gave them a bad review here on Yelp as well. A complete stranger. So it's not just us. Attached as well are the threatening messages/responses he has had since. So if you don't believe me, just read his own words and believe him. ‍ read more

Met the two movers; Ryan & Steven at the storage unit and they were right on time. They were very professional and packed everything nice and neat and securely. They were very upbeat and worked so so hard!! The move was to the new apartment which was on the 3rd floor. They were troopers and always professional. They hustled and never even took a break. I would definitely use this company again. I would recommend again. read more

Horrible. You're better off paying double the average quote than dealing with this company - shout out to Marco being the #1 reason for this review. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ OTHER REVIEWS (not just the 5 star ones he paid for) Zero quality, zero efficiency. Marco came to the house and quoted us for the job based on what he saw. He had a firm attitude with my in-laws but we wrote it off since our primary goal was to ensure our things were moved safely and for an amount we mutually agree on. Marco told my in-laws that they "were being ripped off" by the other company they had reserved and explained that he could offer this-and-that more than them. My in-laws canceled the other company based on that to go with Marco who eventually quoted us the same, and as you'll read, that price grew as time dragged on. Marco had warned us that if we didn't book right away that we could lose "our spot" cause he "had lots of work lined up". We took a few days to decide and ultimately went with his company (slim pickings and full schedules led to this decision). Magically, Marco was free to come back less than 2 days later to start our move to TX. We set an appt for 8:00am. They showed at 12:00 That was not really an issue for us but probably worth noting. Upon arrival he complained about all of the boxes (yes, the same boxes he saw a few days prior). Frustrated, he started using profanity stating this was "b*llsh*t job for $12k" and mumbled that he was considering walking away. "They're all F*cking heavy!" he yelled while our in home surveillance captured his every sentence. His workers worked quietly (and slowly), steering clear of his outbursts- even he angrily kicked our boxes. My in-laws were on edge and stayed away. We felt horrible. What do we do? Cancel a 4 bedroom across the states? Just deal with him and this will all be over soon? We opted for the latter. Even after then seeing the numerous reviews that sounded exactly like our experience. Again we chose horribly. I had Marco go through me because it was too much on my in-laws. He let me know he hit the 4.5 hour marker which meant every hour after that would be an additional $195. They all moved slow. complaining about the boxes more than doing anything. I asked how much longer it would take (using the most light-hearted tone I could conjure, knowing what would result if I did not). "I'd be an IDIOT if I told you a time, but we're almost done". Meanwhile all of the heavy appliances and treadmill were still inside. I explained I wanted a ball park idea but he talked over me, "I don't have to tell you nothin!". I corrected that, and said "well, you do have to tell me something". Whoops? "Listen Motherf*ucker I want my f*ckin money!". We got nervous not being there with my in-laws as he exploded on them about my "disrespectful behavior" and made them make a decision. Since we felt for their safety, we planned to cancel once we arrived. We called the police so that they could get there before us and hopefully calm him down. It worked. We canceled and they unloaded everything onto our driveway - which we then had to move into the house ourselves. More magic - everything was offloaded in 1 hour and 17 minutes! Marco charged us for his labor, time driving, and gas in order to give our things back. We paid to get him out of there. If you're doing a move across states, a heads up his DOT is not compliant with The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration - The Household Goods Program (check DOT# 2995891 or PUC# MTR0191603 taken from his website). When I called them they confirmed he isn't allowed to transport household goods across state lines. He is only allowed to operate within CA. Movers are also required to give you a "Not to Exceed" price, which we never received. https://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov/nccdb/home.aspx#order Want more content? Look at Kelly T's review. She included screenshots of his psycho comments just in case he decided to take them down. I also have several videos that show his irate behavior, but unfortunately Yelp does not allow us to upload those. But happy to share! Good luck to you and I hope you avoid the undue stress that comes with dealing with this company. read more

Yelp copied my one quote request to another company, to about 15 other moving companies at just the click of my mouse. Needless to say it was very competitive, but I went with these guys for a couple reasons. They don't charge you for drive time back to their warehouse. To me, that's like clocking out of your job once you get home, instead of when you're done at work. I also liked their prices $95/hr for two guys, $50 fuel charge and $25 blankets fee, three hour minimum. Many were quoting me pretty much the same thing, but I went with my instincts based on conversing with the owner. He seemed very humble, dedicated and honest. Admittedly, what pulled me over the edge was a picture the owner posted of his toddler daughter. I'm a sucker for hard working people who love their families. Lucky and Darren were on time at 9am on a Saturday morning. They were friendly and ready to work immediately. They both moved quickly and kept it light with some upbeat teamwork chatter here and there. You know, like "Okay baby you got this?? :-D Watch the corners baby." Haha good solid bro stuff. They were very careful with my things and I never once sensed that this was a "drag" for them or that they didn't want to be there. Lucky was very insistent that I think of anything and everything for him to grab and he even had a giant box on wheels for odds and end items. They blanketed my door frames which to me illustrated a higher level of awareness than I've experienced before. Can't tell you how many times I've seen my door jambs dinged up. They also drove down the hill with our stuff loaded up like 100 year old grandparents. The care they put into loading, transporting, and unloading our things was outstanding. Also, I'm really sensitive to energies and bad attitudes and I must say I liked these dudes very much. They're hard working, and sincere people. Will use them again if the occasion arises :o) read more

WARNING TO ANYONE HIRING THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY MILITARY ** edit to also reply to Marco that I have Yelp documentation that we asked for a box and move - again as others have said he is a liar. My father never touched a backpack, he had witnesses with him and was looking for MY phone charger. My father lives far away from town and has no idea whose stuff is whose, and he did not even touch their things, it is almost laughable how much they blow things out of proportion. I feel uncomfortable with how the owner treats his customers, luckily my phone call was on speaker with him and witnessed by several people. One of the movers left THEIR phone charger at our new place which my father gladly returned no harm done. Again, these movers are way over sensitive and over react to everything. Please beware. We will be filing a BBB report as well. We booked these movers to move our things, we have never had an issue with movers. Before I continue explaining our experience please also note while dealing with this mess I am a high risk pregnant woman who recently had been hospitalized for seizures, and we have a 1 year old son. Everything started off as a normal, and I was at our new apartment managing where things go and watching my son while my husband and father were supervising the move at our old place. I called my husband saying I needed help over here and felt sick, so he told my father to keep an eye on the movers for him while he tended to other matters. My husband is the sweetest man you could meet. Suddenly the movers freaked out and accused us of saying that they were criminals and said that they felt "watched" and "uncomfortable" . Things were taken the wrong way and blown COMPLETELY OUT OF PROPORTION. my husband was simply just telling my father to stay in our place so someone was there to ask questions and make sure our furniture wasnt damaged. Like any house we have valuables, sentimental items, and again like any family you supervise movers in your home. No big deal right? They also said my father was intimidating when he literally spoke one sentence to them about not letting our cat out. Next thing I hear is Marco, the owner, calls my husband and verbally abused him on the phone. Yelling at the top of his lungs! To a customer?!?! How is that being a manager, yet alone an owner, professional??? My husband and I took the bigger stand and made sure the movers know it was a huge misunderstanding and to continue with the move after they threatened to just leave because of something so silly. I offered them water, coffee, and snacks. May I also add we opted for a box and move. My husband told them to manage the big things first then we will do the small things after. The movers, again without communicating with us or ASKING QUESTIONS, assumed that we just wanted big furniture done, when hello we asked for a BOX AND MOVE. They left everything small. Nothing hardly boxed. You call that a move? How am I, pregnant with my husband supposed to complete that. So, after assuming the move was done and seeing what was left we were so upset. At this point you expect a discount for the move being completely abandoned. I called Jennifer asking for a discount( which by the way she was the only sensible and professional person we spoke to) and she said Marco would call me. So I'm expecting to hear from a professional manager/owner. Marco calls me and again verbally abuses me now. He YELLS at me, cussing left and right as I calmly kept asking him for a discount, lost track of how many times i was cussed at, I'm in tears , pregnant and just trying to get our situation resolved.... and this man is just at my throat saying many hurtful words, and threatening police, lawyers, and rambling about how great he is with his "million dollar company" . My husband ended up having to take the phone because of how abusive Marco was treating me on the phone. I have NEVER been reduced to tears from a manager of a company. Ever. Jennifer kindly gave us the 15% discount I asked for, and spoke to me with such sympathy and APOLOGIZED for Marco. Marco should be the one apologizing. However, Jennifer we appreciate your professionalism and understanding. Quite frankly, she should run the company instead. Marco also should consider taking anger management classes, because clearly he cant handle his temper. If he talks this way to customers I cant imagine how he treats family. We will be informing military TMO office (moving coordinator) about how abusive this company is to make sure no military families will deal with this like we did. No one should be subjected to that. If anyone has questions you can please message me and I will explain further the situation. We have a right to review this company so we are. Ignore those 5 star reviews, they are clearly manipulating the bad reviews out. There is NO way this is a 5 star company. Below are pictures of what was not boxed. There should be 4 pictures attached. read more

I called several piano movers for a same day job and they were either unable to help until at least 3 days out or the price was minimally $500 to move a piano from one storage unit to another one - roughly 600 yards. Q & E not only was able to help at very short notice, they responded in less than 30 minutes to my call, they were courteous, professional, straight to the point and moved my piano with care to the new unit. I will refer them to anyone who asks for a moving referral. read more

I wasn't going to leave a review until I heard the owner leaving my home talking shit about me to his assistant telling him what kind of bitch I was and to check yelp to see what I say. I got a promise that at 10AM movers would be on my doorstep. Was told they would be there late but no later than 11:15AM. At 12:20 I reach out because nobody has shown up or called and was told I would get a call to let me know when they were on their way. No call ever came. I assume I am getting stood up. 1:25PM they show up twakked out. I ended up canceling because of the lateness, lack of communication and how uncomfortable I felt when they arrived. The were being disrespectful before my front door closed behind them. Which was the kicker that pushed me to leave a review. read more

We hired the company to move my boyfriend and I out of our apartments. We informed them we would need TVs mounted, a bunk bed and a couch put together and picked up. We were quoted $360.00 for 3 hours. $90.00 for every additional hour if needed. We agreed. They arrived, immediately started moving things and packing very quickly, we were very impressed initially. We didn't help in the beginning because we were paying them, he had 3 guys on the crew and they were off to an amazing start. My boyfriend, his brother and I ended up helping move the stuff in and we had to set up the couch on our own and put the sectional together. Only one person assembled the bunkbed while the other two guys stood outside idle and ran down the clock and additional hour and some change. Only one guy knew how to mount the TVs and when they did, they didn't check with us prior to mounting them and mouthed them so high, we needed an extension cord to plug them in because it wouldn't reach without one. We were finally quoted $600.00. For a young couple with 2 children moving into an apartment, this was extremely pricy and far off from the original quote and just extremely distasteful. Imagine if we didn't have the money, what would they have done? I felt tricked and taken advantage of to be honest. Nice, respectful group of men, great job moving things in at a fast pace in the beginning but towards the end, felt like things changed. They should also be more upfront and honest with quotes in the beginning prior to doing the job. read more

Horrible, simply horrible. They tore a large divot out of the hardwood floor when moving us in. That was bad, but perhaps understandable. But the owner promised to take care of getting the damage fixed. Then did nothing. We followed up at least a half dozen times with them and were given assurances they would take care of the problem every time, until we finally accepted the fact that they were simply lying and always had been. There are lots of honest movers you can use. This isn't one of them. Worst movers I have ever worked with. read more

This place doesn't live up to their name. I've had to use a few movers myself and I've helped a few friends recently move and by far this place is one of the worse I've come by. The initial walk thru was sketchy. It was like I was haggling over the prices with two people over the phone and one in person. Then they come to move my apt and within 45 mins. The movers are fighting with each other. I'm not sure over what, but they get mad at each other and what was easily a 3 person job became a one guy job and my brother and his roommate on his day off. And yes, I still had to pay the full amount because I paid the day of the walk thru in a check because I was just needing to get the heck out of my place in order to get my deposit back fast. Just avoid this place please. Moving is a headache, don't let these guys add to the stress. We had to contact my husbands job after the rude comment came from company a liaison from my husbands job assured me they would be in touch with us. I got a phone call back this afternoon and I was informed they spoke with a man who claims they own the company and he said he was closing the yelp page down and he was going to have the main dispatcher contact us back they didn't. And basically this job was more important than a yelp page and we could all preform oral pleasures to him. It was suggested that next time get a uhaul and hire PACKERS and move yourself. It seems like a better idea. Please also, read the comments he's leaving. They're all the same. Just go some place else. read more

After numerous calls and text messages sent- I summed it up that this company was not showing up for the move. I want to start by saying I should have used Quality and Efficient Movers for my entire move and storage from the East to West Coast. The care, thoughtfulness and quality they offered for what I did use them for was beyond what I would have expected. It's a family owned and operated company who cares about the work they do but more so the client they work for. Jen, then owners wife. Was kind enough to call and make the arrangements with the driver on the day of delivery. Marco stored my things for quite a period of time when I was in between homes, and his movers did a great job for the most part. Biggest issue I have is that there was an extension for a custom-made table that I had where the extension didn't make it to me. Marco dropped out of communication with me months ago after delivering it, citing personal reasons, initially, and I still haven't heard back (And I cannot get an extension remade because it was custom). He was absolutely wonderful and on top of it before all of that, and I'm sorry to give him a less than stellar review. read more

This is a warning/PSA to NEVER hires QUALITY AND EFFICIENT MOVERS for local moves EVER!! I am moving locally and decided to have movers come and move the bigger things for me to ease this move for me. I called these movers because their reviews looked good (I don't know how in the world they had such high reviews). So i call and the owner MARCO keeps telling me over and over about how busy his schedule was, and how his men are all over the place, but that he could schedule me in for the day I requested, I said sure! So fast forward to the day his men were supposed to come, he calls and said they were running late and that they would be there in an hour. Two and a half hours go by and the men finally show up. The men who work for this owner were nice and very helpful, packed what I needed, and I had them send it to two different location. I paid them, and they ended up charging me extra for a 'late fee' (even though they were late getting to me, they said they had to charge me the 15 minute late fee, made no sense but I was so over it by that point I let it slide). The next day I am unpacking my things and realized that the men didn't drop off one of my boxes. I call the owner MARCO who claims that he is on a call but that he would look for it and give me a call in an hour to tell me whether or not he got it or now. Fast forward THREE HOURS he still never got back so me, so I called him and he claimed he was out of state on a move and that his men were on calls so he didn't know when he could get my box to me. I said that didn't make any sense because I paid them for the job, they need to drop my box off at my address as soon as possible. He kept cutting me off mid sentence and going on and on about how his men were in San Jose and he was out of state but that they should drop it off to me later on that evening (this is day 2 mind you). So I got so frustrated that I just told him to leave it at his place of business and I would pick it up in the morning. He said he would call me the following morning to let me know that it was there. Fast forward the following morning, I didn't receive any calls and I had to go to work so I ended up texting him and telling him I could not wait any longer for him to respond and that I needed him to drop off my package to my residence. He then proceeds to send me this message, I legitimately couldn't believe what I read. I am sending this out to let you all know that this is how his owner treats his customers if there is ANY mishaps or things don't go the way he planned. He may advertise as being the cheapest around but just know this is what you are going to get. read more

These guys are amazing and super careful with our 10 foot long dining table. The table has one fragile leg and they did everything they could to ensure it gets delivered safely without further damage. The table was so heavy, the heaviest thing any team could lift and they did it like a dream. I would use them again if we ever had to move and recommend them to everyone. Price is competitive and very reasonable. The team is responsive and flexible with the schedules. Called them for an estimate one day and got delivered the next day. It's best to show them photos of your large furniture and details so they can plan ahead. One advice is let them do their thing and don't get in the way or question because they certainly know what they're doing. Is there a 10-star option? Glad I've found them. Thank you for your great service. read more

Pros: Moving day was fun. Great staff and truly upbeat team. Fun to work with and hard working. (they were late thou, stuff happens so I wont hold that against them) Cons: When the problems start it goes off the rails quickly. I notified the owner (Marco) of a few missing items, a few step ladders and a little girls snowboard, I also had a low end computer monitor that was broken. His response? was that I owed HIM money. He never responded to me about the missing items. He wouldn't listen and talked over me. Again, nice guy until there are problems. He took it a step further and resorted to name calling. Truly wild. We are only talking about a few hundred dollars. I wish I would have read the reviews here before I selected my movers. Sounds like this is a recurring theme. Guess I have to waste my time in small claims. Silly. read more

MARCO IS A LIAR!!! I called Marco and spoke with him about moving a couple of weeks ago. I told him that I am buying a house and we are unsure when we will get the keys. He told me he understood and that it happens to him a lot. Apparently it is all my fault because I "cancelled" on him twice now....umm no I did not! The first time I spoke with him was to just get a quote. I didn't schedule anything. I called him back last Wednesday to schedule a move. I told him will be getting the keys in a week however, I will keep him updated if something changes....well guess what...it did. When I spoke to him on Monday the 28th, I told him that we ran into some issues and that we will be getting the keys either Wednesday or Thursday (today) however, I think it would be Thursday. He told me the only time slot that he had was 2pm on Thursday. I said I will take that appointment time. He told me not to worry that he will be here and fit us in. He deals with situations like this all the time. I called him yesterday and even confirmed everything as well. It is now almost 3 hours later and he has not shown up. He said he didn't have the crew to get our apartment moved. I even asked him yesterday if this was even possible and he told me "yes don't worry I will take care of it". Last thing he did was yell at me and told me he didn't care if I wrote a yelp review or do what I feel is necessary. There is no way that he has 5 stars. He has to be finding a way to delete or getting the bad reviews removed somehow. On top of all of this, I just received a voicemail from Marco saying that he found enough movers and I have 20 minutes to get back to him if I want to use his service. He also apologized for me cancelling on him 2 times and that as a business owner, I will do the job that I have to do and that is it. Seriously...??? This has been a complete nightmare...stay away from this business. You do not want to use this guy. AND NOW!! I called my husband and told him that it was his decision....he called Marco and said yes. However, Marco wanted to hear it from me...I am at work. I can't answer the phone when I am busy. Marco told my husband that he would do the job if I don't give him a bad yelp review. Really? Then....he wouldn't take my husbands phone call to move forward with everything. He said I had to call him. I called him and said if he can do it if he can get the crew there and my husband is waiting. Now, at 5pm, I get a text message from Marco saying he is not coming and that it is in both parties interest not to do the move because he doesn't want to risk anything. I posted a picture of the text from Marco. read more

I used this company because I had a fantastic experience with them in 2018 when they helped me move my stuff. However, my overall experience this time (Feb 2022) was suboptimal, but the guys who did the move were great. The reason it was suboptimal was due to various reasons: I called the manager to confirm the moving time the day before and he told me the guys had a long day so would be arriving at 11-11:30 for my move (instead of 10 AM). I didn't think much of it because last time they were able to pack the truck in about 3 hours or so, so I figured it should be fine. However, it took them about 5 hours to pack (and they still weren't done in terms of some furniture items still weren't properly wrapped) but they kindly expedited things and put some things as they were in the truck because I had to move things into a storage unit at that time and the storage unit closed at 5 PM. They also didn't bring a normal moving truck like last time. They brought one of those trailers that you attach to a truck and they couldn't fit everything into it so they placed some stuff on an outside rack. I would have preferred a normal moving truck and if I knew they weren't going to send one, I wouldn't have used them at this time. I was in touch with the manager at the storage unit and let her know things were taking longer than expected and in fact we left my place at 5 PM (with an hour drive ahead of us to reach the storage unit) and by this time the manager of the storage unit was irritated with me (for good reason). I really should have rescheduled the day to another time and had them come at 8 AM and that was my mistake. There was a longer way for the men to walk to the truck than last time and that took additional time as well. Another moving company used one of those rollers that has a big box on top of it and could fit a lot of boxes in it at one go. These movers used a regular dolly that you can stack only 4 boxes on at a time, so that took longer as well. Anyway, the manager kindly stayed late that day and let us in and we had to keep our car headlights on so the guys had enough light to see and move things into the unit. The guys moved everything into the unit as fast as they could but they didn't do the normal orderly job where things are stacked nicely to the top of the unit ( which is understandable given the manager sat in her car the entire time with us because we weren't supposed to be there after hours so they were trying to work fast and it was dark). To give you an example, last time, I had 1/3 more stuff but by the time they were done I had a fair amount of extra space to put more stuff in. This stuff there is no space at all (except at the top of the unit). I called the moving company today (my move was about 5 weeks ago) to see if they might be able to come and stack everything properly during daylight since I have some extra stuff to put in my storage unit and there is no space. I figured he would say 'no' since it had been so long and I should have called sooner if I wanted this, so I didn't at all expect anything. But I thought I would explain the situation just in case he could help. I explained the situation and he said he works with public storage a lot and thought they were open till 10 PM. I let him know they close at 5 PM on the weekends. Anyway, he told me to send him a picture and he would ask the guys but that he would charge me again for a minimum of 2 hours to restack it. I realize I didn't take a picture that day because it was dark and to take a picture I would have to drive 3 hours to get one so decided not to proceed further. To be fair, the guys who did the move, worked hard and did a fantastic job. The whole day was just very stressful since the job should have started at 8 AM to be able to get to the storage unit on time before it closed. But neither I nor the moving company had a proper idea of the time involved. So just overall was disappointed with how the moving day went. I was debating whether to write the review, because I do think the guys worked hard and did a good job. But if you have to move stuff by a certain time, you really want to plan your day with extra time to be safe. Also, if you want a normal moving truck, you should be sure to ask for that. read more

Great moving company! We got 3 movers. They charged $135/hr + $35 fuel fee. Reasonable price. We met them at our storage spot at 10am and they were already there. They were very careful with our stuff and always asked where to put things. Their truck was very spacious. The guy who was loading the truck was very smart with the placement of our stuff. I was surprised everything fit with room to spare. Would definitely recommend! Thank you quality and efficient movers. read more

I don't know what happened to this business. I have been a long time customer. We have used this team for five previous moves and recommended them to many neighbors and friends. The team was always so polite in the past. I started working with them back in 2016. Flash forward to our current move. I shared with his team a suggestion on how we could possibly load our pack rat container to maximize the space because we had quite a bit of stuff. Marco stormed into my garage and started screaming at me about how the stuff wouldn't fit and how I wasn't going to tell him how to do his job. I just stood there with a stunned look on my face. Then he said this is what upsets him "that f***ing look on my face" and how we were going to blame him if our stuff didn't fit. Finally my husband asked him to stop speaking to me like that. I said that if they had another idea on how it would fit best with their experience that would work too and he just kept screaming at me telling me this is why he doesn't like people from California because we are all so sensitive and he is from NY and this is just how people talk there. Um, no. My family is from back east as well. People are direct and will give it to you straight but this was belligerent and abusive. He went on and on and on. He finally told me that I had made him so angry that he was going to leave. He packed up his team and left. Mind you, this whole time I had barely said anything because he just kept yelling at us. He left us high and drive the day before we had to leave for a cross country relocation. Thank goodness we had not paid them yet. The logic was so strange. He walked away from a $500+ job because I made one suggestion. We were verbally abused for 20 minutes before he stormed off. It was unprofessional not to mention that fact that he speaks to women that way! Overall disgusting and troubling behavior. He also told me not to bother with a YELP review because he was just going to pay one of those janky scam companies to delete it within 48 hours and that there was nothing I could do to him. That's fine. I will just keep reposting my review over and over and over again. It's a damn shame this place has gone down hill. They were such a great team. The guys that work for him seem so nice and also seem to take quite a bit of verbal abuse as well from what I could hear from their conversation. Thank goodness we have great friends and neighbors who all pitched in to help us out and get the job done. If you are looking for a team who prides themselves on customer service, sadly it is no longer this one. read more

Unbelievably awful experience. My elderly parents used this moving company and I came to help them. The owner Marco became frustrated that my elderly, hard of hearing father was not responding quickly enough about where furniture was to be placed in their new home. He began to yell stating, "what are we speaking Spanish?! Why don't you understand us?". When I intervened to ask him to please be kind to my elderly father he began to cuss me out. He told me to go F**K myself and got in my face then proceeded to call me a "dumb b**ch". I have never ever had such a horrible experience. I was 5 seconds away from calling the police because of his aggression. I advise you to stay away from this moving company. His poor workers were kind and apologetic for his behavior. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Quality and Efficient Movers! My move was from Oakland to Roseville, so just a couple hours away and Quality and Efficient Movers is right between the two. I found them here on Yelp, and Marco was one of a few different moving companies from whom I asked for a quote. He wrote me back within a few hours with a competitive quote and a clear/fair pricing structure. Price + Yelp reviews helped me choose them as my team! Day of the move, I was kind of shocked and awed at how FAST everything went! I had everything ready and Anthony and Vince showed up on time and loaded that truck in a lightning flash! Both men were polite, knowledgeable and I felt completely confident trusting them with my items. They did a superb job padding and wrapping up the large pieces of furniture I was putting in storage. Same thing on arrival to the new location -- they dropped some stuff off in storage with my Mom and then I met them at the house. I was about an hour behind them (I cleaned the first unit before leaving and had a cat to deal with) and by the time I got there everything was already unloaded. Anthony even indulged me moving a dresser from location (a) to location (b) multiple times before I could decide where it looked best :) My Mom was also impressed -- she said they had just been lovely to work with, so nice and polite! She was also impressed by how careful they were with both the home and my belongings and how well they padded and protected things. I'd say that praise is even better than mine. She's seen a lot of moves in her lifetime. At the end of the day, the price was super close to accurate to the quote (actually a tiny bit under!), everything went exactly as Marco explained and all my belongings are safe and sound. We can't say enough how great Anthony and Vince are, and I'd hire them/Quality and Efficient Movers again in a heartbeat. They made move day shockingly easy! read more

When your movers feel like family... I've done many moves over my life and this was by far the best. We found Marco here on Yelp and his wife Jennifer quickly responded. They came by our 4 bdrm house in Fairfield and gave us a quote quickly after. Their prices were the best of the 3 we received and the service as we soon found out was incredible. Everyone on the team was super helpful and efficient. Whereas the other movers who quoted us said they would only move things in boxes, Marco took it all. We also had a garage full of stuff that needed to be taken to GoodWill and to the dump. For a little more than $200, they brought a separate truck on move day with two additional guys and hauled it all away. 4 bdrm, 3 bath house moved from one place to the other in 4.5 hours! We will definitely be using them for our next move! read more

Horrible experience! If you're looking for an unprofessional moving company that will ruin your belongings and not finish the move until 3:30 in the morning because they wanted to make a stop at a dispensary... then look no further! We thought everything was going to be good because they quoted us a great price. Wow are we paying for it now! I can't believe these people have five star reviews. I feel it's an obligation to tell people my experience so other people don't have to go through the same thing. The first red flag was one of the movers put on my husband's hat and wore it around asking if he was a cop. A little weird but definitely something you could get over. I have children walking around and the profanity they were using was horrible. For gods sake have some professionalism. So after they load up everything their supposed to drive our stuff and finish moving the next day. They were supposed to be here at 2 or 3. My husband contacted them at 2 o'clock. Because they never reached out to us to give us an update! They told us they were an hour and a half away. After receiving no phone call. We called again at 5 o'clock. Then they said they wouldn't be here until seven. The first call the guy told us the reason was they needed sleep because it took so long and the truck was so heavy and then because of traffic. Wouldn't you think they would take turns sleeping on the way down. So finally they arrived at 7:40 in the evening. Are you kidding me!!! You're going to start unloading my whole house at this time. We overheard them talking about going to a marijuana dispensary. How the hell do you have time to do that if you're sleeping and having a hard time getting here? The amount of noise yelling and arguing going on was ridiculous. This neighborhood has a noise ordinance of 11 o'clock. This went on until 3:30 in the morning. My belongings were put in wrong places all over the house. Obviously everyone was tired including my husband who had to stay up the whole time to tell them where everything went. Me and my children were in the car the first few hours waiting for them to at least complete one room for us to go in. We were finally able to come in at midnight. I have four little children. It was such a horrible experience. After we were already in the room. People kept moving things inside of it. My husband also requested that they didn't stack things to high because we have a 17-month-old. I will insert pictures of how high things were stacked. They also broke a dresser and said it was already flimsy. They also damaged my wall and didn't say anything. The first night my son slept in his bed it completely fell through. My beautiful chandeliers are ruined! My fridge has scratches all over it. They were supposed to be putting things back together. It seem like no one was paying attention to anything they were doing and just tried to hurry up and get the heck out of here. No professionalism, love, thought or care put into anything that was done. I am so disappointed. I feel like I made the wrong choice now what could've been a good experience was a horrible one. I even gave the wife the opportunity to make things right since she was the one we spoke with originally on the phone. I called her because I didn't think she knew what was going on. She offered me a dinner card?!? Are you serious. After all that and a horrible experience that's what you're going to offer me. She said well what do you want. I said I want some money back. She said she was going to call me back and tell me how much. I never received a call that was 6 days ago again unprofessional. She had the opportunity to make things right and chose not to. I hope if you're thinking to use this company that you definitely think twice or at least you know what to expect when getting a lower price. I say pay the money and get a reputable company to work with I'm sure it would've been worth it. UPDATE she finally called right before me posting this. She offered me $200 back on a $7900 job No thank you. Keep your money. She tried to say that there was no stop made and that she received payment at 2 AM in the morning instead of 3:30am. Wow! Again unprofessional. You're supposed to say... I am so sorry that happened. That is not how we do business and you did not deserve that to happen to you. I completely understand how you feel. I will do whatever I can to make this right. Nope not with this company. Pay the extra money and go with someone else. read more

They were a no-show on our move, June 4th, 2021. They were to begin at 10AM. I called at 11AM since we had received no phone call from them. They confirmed we were on the schedule. They promised movers would be there after lunch. I called back at 2:30PM to be informed no one would be moving us, they told us maybe the following morning. I declined "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". They added a tremendous amount of stress to an already stressful time our lives. I'm not sure how they are still in business. They are an awful company. read more

I definitely owe a review to this company as I have utilized this company twice -- both times were used for moves: 1st was from house to house and the 2nd was from house to storage. First move: We had 2 movers come to the house and had loaded up their truck with our heavy appliances and large furniture. They were quick and efficient, and were mindful of our items without damaging anything from beginning to end. I can't recall either names of the movers, but I can say that they were friendly and easy to work with. Second move: Originally, i requested a quote via yelp and had gotten a response within 15 minutes (or less) that stated that they needed further information to proceed. I reached out to the company and a helpful gal named Jennifer (i think!) was able to schedule an individual to come out to my house for a walk through and a quote. Easy peasy! The day of the walk-through, Anthony, had showed up and went through our house. I'd say that it took about 15-30 minutes for him to go through our house and ask/answer any questions that anyone had. He provided us the "worse case scenarios" of how much we would spend; and honestly, we appreciated that because my husband and I aren't a huge fan of unanticipated charges. Anthony had mentioned to us that since had empty bins and boxes around, that if we filled those up prior to the team arriving for packing day, that it'd help both sides out: cost of packing material and time. We were told that a team of 3 would show up in two separate days: 1 for packing and 1 for moving. And both times that they had showed up, they were AMAZING. I can't say enough of how friendly and professional they all were. We were able to converse with them and it made the hours go by much faster and fun! When everything was all said and done, our quote of "worse case scenario" actually turned out to be much cheaper than expected. Score! If you are in the process of moving from house to house or need assistance with moving items in/out of storage, then this is the company that you need to hire. They know what they are doing and treat their customers like family. You won't be disappointed! read more

I really don't understand where the word quality came from in your business title if you want your furniture damage and to arrive late perfect place to call I don't think the professional at all it seems like this person hires a bunch of amateurs to do the job so once again if you liked having damage furniture missing items and late delivery please call them. You are 100% right I am not a customer but I was assisting my friend with the move while he was going through with this company and I see how they treated him why wouldn't I hope that's the number or a company who I've seen treat with my own eyes the other person and extremely disrespectful manner and appropriate read more

To whom it may concern, In the last couple of days there has been 3 or so bad reviews most of those were written for me an employee who now no longer works for the company as they say there is two sides to a story if you read those 3 recent bad reviews they are 3 different family members with a mostly bogus story and also leaving parts of the story out. Here is my story I finished my first delivery at 9 am I then gave my second customer toby who is the customer I walked out on. a call to see if he would be willing to to move earlier then 1 PM which was his time slot (documents to prove it) he declined very rudely so I said ok see you at 1pm he tried for 3pm I then declined and told him 1pm he said ok I show up at 1pm and greet myself as joshua the lead mover I ask him to show me around and let me know what needs to be moved he was very nonchalant about showing me he made me guess what room the bed was in then we started the bill he was not happy the contract I presented him with so I told him I would speak with upper management to see if we could get it resolved and it did then the guy says to his kid [get up off your a$$ and take your bed apart or do you want me to knock you the fuck out]with me having kids myself that like he said i said are not mine I got very mad I just wanted to get away from this guy I will accept that I was trying to rush out the home I will accept the fact i scratched his door i am willing to pay for any damages i caused but i will not tolerate the abuse he was causing that teenage kid I have been with the company for a couple of years now up until recent events before that I was with Matthew's mattress delivery team for 5 years I have great customer service skills and great reviews I have been dealing with customers like this for 15 years I let this one get to me! After I walked away toby insisted on calling the owner and saying a bunch of lies that I was the problem but after i was gone he needed someone else to blame yes I damaged the couch with a very small rub on the door but I guarantee nothing else was damaged by the company this toby stated already had one move done by the company and how he got it done for free because someone broke his table he was compensated the free move he is just a guy that is looking for free moves it was bonus for him to see me lose my job the most of the 1 star reviews on here because of like him. the company has more good then bad reviews there is a reason for that the guys and girls that work for this company are very hard workers and also take pride in their job quality and efficent owners and employees I am sorry for the grief I have caused read more

This moving company hands down are the best. Moving from NorCal to Portland, Marco, the owner quoted the best price that beat any competitors. They are very punctual and fast. The staff are very friendly and know their stuff. They delivered my stuff the very next day in perfect condition. Josh is very helpful and has good customer service. I would definitely use them again. Thank you guys read more

Bottom line up front: Choose these guys to handle your move, AND even your storage! Moving Experience: Between my fiancee and I, we've had over 7 moves in the past several years, and this one we did with Quality and Efficient Movers was by far the best. -Appointment setup-When I called in 2 weeks prior to my move out date (which isn't normally considered much notice) telling them I had a two bedroom, 3rd floor apartment to move out of, I was nervous. Jennifer tackled the challenge without hesitating and offered me availability and pricing! -Moving day- Marco and his crew of two other gentlemen showed up on time and prepared with a large truck and some additional moving materials such as pads and paper for glass and delicates, then gave me a 5 minute rundown of the process. I signed the papers and they got to moving! Off the bat, these guys were motivated, had great attitudes, and were friendly to us. The process took only 2 hours to load up the truck, and they were extremely careful and attentive to any requests we had. While I understand why people are generally concerned around their belongings and are often quick to distrust movers, I highly advise against this mindset when it comes to these guys! They put me at ease instantaneously with their professionalism and genuine pride in their job. We got to the storage facility where I'd rented a unit that the movers and I thought may have been a little too small for all our goods. Marco's answer to my concern? NO PROBLEM! And guess, what? They won Tetris and fit all of my goods, saving me the headache of finding additional storage. I stored at a facility not owned by them, however seeing how they run their moving business, I'd store with them in the future as well. Pricing was extremely fair, and payment was quick and easy. Again, these guys were great. Fast, professional, phenomenal attitudes, and good at what they do! Look no further for your moving solution. Thank you again for the help~ read more

We moved in May, 2020, from one side of Vacaville to the other. Quality and Efficient movers were exactly what their name states! They were extremely efficient and got the job done in a very timely manner. The guys were extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend using them. I also used their cleaning services when I moved out of the home I was renting. They were also extremely hard working and professional! Feel free to contact me if you'd like to know more! read more
