I sent him photos and within a few hours, he responded back with a quote, which was quite reasonable. We made an appointment for Saturday morning as we wanted to surprise our daughter with the vanity built for her birthday. My son was also excited that his desk was going to be assembled as he wanted someplace to study, as well as a place to sit and play online Roblox with his friends instead of the dining room table. Guilherme texted me 15 minutes before our appointment to say that they were running behind schedule and would be at our home 20 minutes later than our scheduled appointment. I appreciated his communication with me that they were going to be late. When Guilherme arrived, he was accompanied by Isabella (who I learned was his fiancée who works with him). They were very friendly, and both went right to work on assembling the two items. They were professional, efficient and friendly, moving each of the furniture items after they were assembled to where we wanted them in our kids rooms. Great service! We will definitely hire them again for our furniture assembly needs!

Though it was a tough move, Manny and Trey were both patient, kind, and efficient. They even cracked a few jokes, and we shared some laughs. Unfortunately, I discovered issues the first time I actually used the machine. The pulley system had been routed incorrectly in two places, causing the cables to twist, tangle, create excessive friction, and even go completely slack and off the track when the weight was removed. I immediately sent photos and videos showing the problem. We agreed that she would return at 7:00 PM to inspect and correct the issue. However, she did not show up at the agreed time and instead requested additional photos and videos that had already been provided. Based on the communication and tone, it became clear that returning to fix the issue was not a priority. Ultimately, I had to hire another service to correct the installation. They completely rerouted the pulley system and lubricated the moving parts, which resolved the stiffness and functionality problems. I informed Bay Area Furniture Assembly of this, but never received a response. I am disappointed with the level of customer service, especially considering the price paid. While the initial assembly appeared fine, the real test came when the equipment was put into use, and unfortunately the follow-up support and accountability were lacking. ----Follow Up Reply Thank you for your response. This will be my final response, and readers can do with this information what they will. Several statements in your response are inaccurate. You stated that no follow-up time was agreed upon. In writing, you suggested 7 PM and I agreed to that time. You stated there was no phone conversation. We spoke by phone for over five minutes regarding the issue. You stated that additional photos and videos were not provided. I documented the issue and communicated it as soon as it became apparent during actual use of the machine. I travel frequently for work, and although 12 days had passed since assembly, the machine had not yet been utilized. The issue was discovered the very first time I used it. It also makes little sense that I would voluntarily pay a second company to inspect and repair the machine if there had been no issue with the original setup. I requested no refund, no compensation, and made no demands. I simply needed a functioning machine and chose the quickest path to resolving the problem rather than continuing to troubleshoot. The second company corrected the pulley routing and made additional adjustments to ensure smooth operation. After their work, the stiffness, twisting, and slack cable issues were completely resolved. Whether that means the original assembly was incorrect or not, the fact remains that the machine did not function properly until another company corrected it. My review reflects not only the installation itself, but also the follow-up customer service and accountability afterward. I paid for a properly functioning machine and ultimately had to pay a second company to achieve that. I stand by my review and wish Bay Area Furniture Assembly the best going forward.

The estimator MISSED the necessary space to load our personal goods by approximately 50% (almost 6000 cubic feet according to the movers working day of) causing us to have to donate quite a bit of items (beds, wine refrigerator, bicycles, chairs etc). The movers were amazing though and stayed out, in the rain, attempting to get as much loaded as possible. ADVICE: do not get ANY estimate without one of the loaders involved in seeing the personal goods (it created an approximately additional 35% expense). The actual movers knew withing 10 minutes of walking the property that they were NOT going to be able to load everything. UPDATE (FROM COMPANY RESPONSE) FOR FULL CLARITY: The "overall" comment is inherently incorrect (and disappointing) as it fails to recognize the significant additional expense of having to make other arrangements from the missed estimate as well as the fact there was a completely empty Turner moving truck onsite and Turner did not offer to take the furniture which was not able to be loaded temporarily until other arrangements could be made the next day due to their error.

I went with the "other movers" initially as Eddie was busy the weekend of the proposed move. The scope of the move was to transport the couches from Petaluma to Napa. Once in Napa, the couches were to be delivered to the second floor. The "other movers" postponed our move one day due to a scheduling conflict on their part. On the day of the move, I had to use my personal truck to supplement their truck that was way undersized for the job. They moved the couches from Petaluma to Napa however, when it came down to moving it upstairs in Napa, they were convinced that it couldn't be done. They left the couches on the first floor to our dismay while still charging us the full amount claiming that the couches were larger and heavier than they anticipated. (Mind you I gave them all the specifics of the couches before hand.) In comes Eddie and team to save the day! I called Eddie a day later and he was super responsive. I shared my story with Eddie and he was eager to take on the challenge. Eddie walked the job with me and confirmed that the job could be done. He sent his best guys out to the job the following day and they arrived promptly. Very courteous and eager to get the job done. During the move they were very respectful of the items and also the property. Making sure not to damage anything. The three movers worked in unison and got the couches moved in under 45 minutes. While it was difficult moving the oversized chaise and the heavy sleeper sofa, they got it done. No complaints or issues. Only high fives all around when the job was done. I will definitely be using Eddie's services in the future and recommend that Eddie be your first call. (Learn from my mistake.) Eddie's customer service should be the standard for all services. He will get back to you promptly and listens! His positive attitude is infectious and his team carries the same demeanor.

It was just under a week so I was very grateful that they were available. I called back on Thursday to confirm and was told by Tom that they have me down for 9am on Sunday and they had my address. Sunday comes, I call just after 9am. Tom picks up and says he does not know anything about the move and that I may have spoken with his son, also named Tom, apparently. He said they don't have me listed anywhere and he did not have any trucks available. The best he could do was meet me Monday morning between 9-10am. He apologized and said he would take 20% off the bill and agreed to reduce the minimum hours required. Okay. Monday comes. At 10am, I call and it goes to a voicemail so I leave a message. I call again at 10:15am and someone answers saying the owner of the phone lost it and he plans to meet him later to return his phone and that I should leave a message hoping he would check it. I left another message. I have never received another call from either Tom. NO CALL, NO SHOW, 2 DAYS IN A ROW! I ended up looking at U-Haul's website hoping I could get a few people to help me move my large items since my family and I moved just about everything else at this point. Thankfully, U-Haul now partners with moving helpers. I checked out reviews and selected a company called Pack and Load Pros out of N. Highlands. They fit me in the same day since it would be a quick job and I was able to complete my move. BHP Moving and Storage are, by far, the most unprofessional moving company I've ever dealt with. I had to take an extra day off of work and instead of paying for moving services, I had to put a huge burden on family members and myself to do extra lifting and moving unexpectedly. We settled on BHP because the price was right and Rob(who he spoke to on the phone) was helpful and came out to give us a quote as early as the next day. We could not be more pleased!! Mike, Howard and Steve came to our Vallejo home ready to move us on time and with a smile on their faces. Everything was moved quickly and professionally into their van and they drove to our new home in Vacaville to promptly unload. This moving experience was effortless and made moving so much more enjoyable!! I am so glad we chose BHP and we will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

This guy. THIS GUY really hung up on me…read more I called for a quote - which was outrageous $1200. I gave furniture list - 3 hutches, 2 buffet and 2 ikea billy bookcases and he tried to tell me it would be 4 movers and 4 hours of work. My 67 year old mother comes over to help me move these things and i am a 5'6 lady here. We are not big burly people. BUT YOU NEED 4 MOVERS AND $1200? He asked what i thought the job should be. I said 2 guys or even one. I CAN HELP. I just didn't have a truck or an extra human. The furniture would be outside and we would travel 3.8 miles across town to where this needed to go. Up a freight elevator to a storage unit. You can wipe my behind with $1200. I will hike these things on my back and carry them. Hang up on someone else you rude man.
