Stephan did an amazing job on our deck. We're sure glad we used "Call my Guy" for this project. Service was professional and personable. When he finished working, Stephan said to my Marine Veteran husband: "Sir, thank you for your Service." We were so impressed, so yes, we highly recommend this business. read more

Rude and lack of follow up, should be zero stars. Stephan emailed me Sunday saying that one of his guys was going to try to break from a bigger job to come do my job Wed-Friday. I replied on Sunday saying that would be great just let me know what time. I didn't receive a reply so I texted him on Wednesday. Didn't receive a reply so I texted him today (Thursday) and his response was that they're busy and if I'm going to keep asking they aren't coming....this wasn't a favor, this is business and I need to make arrangements to have someone at my home when they go but I guess he doesn't feel it's important to give that sort of consideration to someone that doesn't have a big job. read more

Call My Guy! - Text messages - Handyman Near Me

See all

1. Sent a text inquiry regarding a kitchen hood fan install. Received a reply the same day. 2. Scheduled the install for the following week; a very quick turnaround. 3. On the scheduled day & time, the handyman showed up at the exact agreed upon time. 4. The install was done cleanly, professionally, perfectly. 5. I received a very reasonable invoice for services rendered. I don't know what more one could ask for from a handyman service provider. Although this should be the norm, in today's environment, it is certainly not. Thanks very much! read more

When I needed my Starlink satellite installed on the top of my roof I Called My Guy! Stephen was very easy to deal with to get the work scheduled, he and Mike showed up exactly when they said they would and they installed the satellite expertly and took great care to ensure the cabling was installed with the least amount of visual interference possible. I would highly recommend Call My Guy to anyone in need of assistance around the house and I will certainly be in touch with them the next time there is a house project outside of my abilities in the future. read more

I would definitely recommend these guys! Very easy to work with and flexible. We had 2 dog doors installed and a few other odds and ends around the house which we had just purchased. Prices were fair and reasonable. We did a lot of texting back-and-forth to schedule days, etc. I know they're a small operation and very busy, but I would've preferred to talk on the phone and save all the texting. Honestly, the communication could improve a little bit....But it was not a dealbreaker. Regardless, I'd say they are a great company and I wish the best. read more

Call My Guy did prompt and excellent work on several projects at our house--electrical, deck repair and a new door. When a small adjustment to the door was needed their response was immediate and effective. I highly recommend Call My Guy. read more

Used Call My Guy to hang our new signs at our new gym, Interchange Athletics. They were on time, did the job well and in a timely manner. They were easy to work with and were professional. I was very pleased with price, time, and the excellence of work. We will be using them again the future I'm sure. read more

What can I say, but I LOVE these guys. Steph and his crew have done a lot of work on my little house (plumbing, electrical, dry rot repair), and things are looking great! I think my favorite part is that Steph and his guys are very creative when it comes to finding solutions to "old house" problems--not every upgrade or repair is straightforward, but these guys have a lot of experience. Ok, my other favorite thing is that Steph never makes me feel like my job is too small or unimportant--he always finds a way to squeeze my job in--and his prices are absolutely fair (OMG, I think he doesn't charge enough.) His guys FINISH their work! They're professional and reliable--can't beat that. Thanks, Steph!!! One more thing? Steph LOVES his job--that's obvious. Ask him to show you his portfolio, and look at the pride on his face at the work he and his guys have done. He's just great! read more

This company is top notch! From the customer service on the phone with Stephan to the actual job being completed by Eric, it was an exceptional experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs work on their house. I purchased a new electric range that was supposed to be just a "slide-in" however there was electrical work and granite work that needed to be completed for it to be installed properly because our house is older. When I called Stephan, he walked me through all my options for electrical over the phone and basically told me what to do and that I could probably handle it and if not, they could take care of it. Who does that? Nobody these days. He was just trying to help educate me and empower me to get the job done without paying for the work. So after I completed the electrical, he actually called me to follow up, EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT GET PAID FOR IT! Amazing. So I had his company come out to cut the granite counter tops to make it slide in a little better and to clean up some edges. Eric came over and he was just as helpful as Stephan was. He came up with suggestions and a great can-do attitude to the job. We had to do some customization that was not originally planned for and Eric was more than happy to oblige. He ended up doing some flooring work for us also to make sure that the range would slide properly. This company is amazing and they are the only company that I would trust to come in to my house to do any work. They are amazing. CALL MY GUY!!! read more

Really pleased with these guys! I contacted 6 different companies at the same time trying to get someone out as soon as possible to fix a door that wouldn't shut properly. Stephen was the only one who followed through on getting someone over to fix it, he did exactly what he said. I can really appreciate that! And the guy that came over (can't believe I forgot his name, ugh) was really friendly and quick. Great job, thanks guys! read more

I've sent them an email and called and no response to my request for a quote to do some work around my house. Other vendors I've reached out and returned my call and said they were too busy. I think it's bad customer service if you can't even do that... read more

I used Call My Guy quite a bit in 2016, 2017 however in 2018 they began having scheduling problems due to demand in service and only a staff of 3 workers trying to cover Napa and Solano county. If the job are requesting will result in significant money then you will get taken care of. However if your job is small you may not get accommodated even if Stephan commits to you which is what happened to me. All I am saying is that one should not have to put their life on hold waiting for them to show up and being left on a hook getting a "Dear John" when it becomes apparent that Call My Guy ain't coming! A customer should not have to chase a person down to find out whether or not they're coming to do a job. This business gets 2 stars for being thoughtless and inconsiderate. read more

I had an upstairs leak that caused damage to the drywall in the kitchen... right before Thanksgiving. The team was sensitive to my time constraint and was quite flexible to fit in with my unkind schedule. Great customer service and they did an awesome job. A very friendly and efficient crew! read more

First time was just a simple miss on their part. I got a text from the owner within hours indicating the mistake and got right on rescheduling. Today, the guy came right on time, assessed the area, brought all his tools with him, went straight to work and in and was done in an hour and a half to cut out the wall both inside and outside of my house to install the doggie door. Great service! read more

I wish I could give these guys more stars. First off, they recommend some great tools to use around the house and offer advice freely without expecting anything in return. True professionals who actually value their customers and not the bottom line. These guys are truly a breath of fresh air. read more

Great quality of work and service overall. Fair and honest pricing. I am military overseas owning a home in the local area and the owner, Stephan (also a USAF vet), was willing to work with me remotely, which I greatly appreciated. They got the job done quickly and it was obvious they were interested in doing a good job to keep my business long term. I plan to use them again and refer them to my friends. Highly recommended! read more

These guys were doing work to my neighbor's house and I saw their excellent work Everytime I drove by....a couple weeks later I had a small water pipe leak from the kitchen that caused water damage to the baseboards and drywall. Long story short, I calles them and my wife and I were very happy with the outcome. I plan on calling them for more work when needed. Bravo to Call My Guys! read more

What an amazing group of people! Greg and Michael put a pergola together in my backyard last week! They were so awesome....so pleasant to work with and they left the place immaculate! Their work was exceptional! Stephan has been wonderful to work with....so responsive! I'm planning on calling them for any future projects and recommending them to others. read more

These guys like to over inflate the time it requires to do a job. I requested a quote for a partial balcony replacement in Fairfield, CA. I initially started with them because I had not received any other responses from the other contractors until days later. They indicated it would take "56 hours" to do a balcony, which I thought was a bit long, but it was an urgent matter. Days later the other responses started coming in and they were SIGNIFICANTLY lower! And the time frames were also MUCH shorter. The contractor I did the entire tear down and rebuild in a day and a half! During the short stint I was still under contract with Call My Guy, they were charging me for doing nothing, except running dehumidifiers in my property because they transported the wood in the rain without covering it! They quoted me it would be "$4200.00 in labor cost, not counting the cost of materials" to do the balcony. Which was extremely high! The contractor I ended up using charged be "$1600.00" in labor cost! As you see another significantly lower estimate. And the balcony looks excellent! If you are price conscience, DO NOT USE CALL MY GUY!!! They WILL OVER INFLATE the cost!!!! read more

Call My Guy is the kind of company from yester year. It has that mom and pop/small town feel to it. When you call there are no computer prompts and no long hold times. I am a homeowner and I'm not the fix-it type guy. I had a repair need and gave Stephen a call in March 2011. He came over for a quote. Was prompt, courteous and respectful. The repair was completed and I became the 5th client of Call My Guy. Over the years, many projects have been performed, all with 100% satisfaction. To date they have not had to return for incomplete work, faulty parts, etc. However, when any of the staff come for a new project, they will inquire about past projects and/or just check on them. When I started, it was just Stephen. Since then the staff has grown. All of the staff are trustworthy, respectful, professional and experts in their given field. Responsive to questions and teachable moments. I always learn something during a project. My family feels comfortable with them when they are here. Lastly, they don't have any catchy jingles about customer service. It's just who they are. I appreciate it and their work ethic. For home repairs, big or small, Call My Guy. read more

After a couple of email requests these guys finally came out to do a job walk for a quote. I told them via email about everything I needed done to the exterior of my home. Showed up with a cell phone to take a couple of pics, took no notes, and took no measurements. I knew that there was no way they could give me a real quote... And guess what? 2 plus weeks have passed and no quote.... read more

When I called "Call My Guy" his message said to text him at the same number. I texted him twice...no response. (Fairfield CA)

I called Stephan and his team to have a large banner attached to the back of our building. Service was prompt, friendly, professional, honest. Would certainly have them on our next projects. read more

We wanted to turn a converted garage into a studio apartment for our daughter and we needed it done in four weeks. We chose Call My Guy to do the work because we liked their ideas and their solutions to existing problems. They knew the timing would be tight but agreed to do all they could to get as close to our deadline as possible. Eric, Greg, and Mike were at our house for a little over 4 weeks and did an amazing job! The studio is better than we even expected! They are the nicest guys and a pleasure to have at our house everyday. We began to look forward to seeing them every morning and once they were done we missed them! Stephan provided very detailed weekly reports so we knew exactly what the labor and expenses were. A great company that we will use for any future projects and would happily recommend to family and friends. We would gladly say "Call My Guy!" read more

I cannot say enough about these guys. What a wonderful service they provide! They are quick to respond and take a look at the project. They are very professional and care about doing the best job, noticing the little things. It is so nice to be made comfortable about calling them about a small job. They know what they are doing and I will definitely call them again. read more

Stephan and Eric, and all the guys are incredible! I have used them for many years now for our apartments as well as for our shopping center in Napa. He has done numerous deck repairs, carport repairs, floor repairs, as well as replacing huge ceiling beams in our commercial center. He is always able to come up with a cost effective solution for anything I call him in for. I know if I call Stephan he will be able to put me on the right track even if I am working with someone else....YES that is correct, I have called him for a second opinion on a few jobs. He and the crew are true craftsman, they love what they do and it shows. They are honest and straightforward. He always delivers what he promises, and keeps in touch if there are changes that come up during the job. On most of our jobs the crews are working in occupied units and I have never ever had one complaint from my tenants. Call My Guy has even accommodated a tenant's request to work after store hours, which was 10:00 pm! As the director of real estate operations for my company Call My Guy offers me a great value by consistently providing quality workmanship at a fair price. He is as good as it gets! read more
