Everyone that I had spoken with up to this point made me feel like they eere trying to squeeze as many people in as they could and for a high price. Now don't get me wrong....I totally get that you have a business to make money. But I just felt like another number and that made me question whether or not they would treat my belongings with care. However, the minute I spoke to Rachel on the phone with SC Movers, I knew that was the company that I wanted to go with! She was genuine and personable and answered all of my questions. They were also very fairly priced! Fast forward to moving day, Shawn and Cain were a few minutes early which we appreciated. They took a few moments to find out exactly what we needed and quickly accomplished it. My roommate and I were both impressed with how professional, friendly, and efficient they were. AND - they took great care of our stuff!!! So fast forward a few days. We were struggling with getting the rest of our belongings out before the final move-out date. Not that we were slacking - we just have too much stuff. We hired them to pack our house and move us out - Sean and King packed us up and had our whole 3 bdrm 1.5 bath house packed up in a little over 5 hours (including the garage!). Even if you don't use an hour which is fine but allow me to use my full hour i paid a premium for I didn't care the price as long as I got to be the boss and got what I paid for and I don't feel I did I saw this business with awesome reviews the woman was nice when I first called in I had been out of my apartment for 6 months and urgently wanted to be home they had not only the best reviews, but they could come out in my short time frame. My goal was not to do anything I wanted everything moved out of a pod and back into my apartment and everything put back where it was nails were still in the wall for pictures was brought the bed couch put back together and appeared to be fine TVs were put back into place It came time for them to leave and I had a living room full of boxes, and my bedroom had boxes. I had some pretty heavy mirrors mind you the hardware steal in the wall and I said hey, we need to put these back and then start unpacking my boxes. The older man looked dead in my face and said oh we don't do that but when I hired the company and spoke to the woman, she told me they do every single thing Granted, I didn't expect them to hammer nails or screws into my walls. All the hardware was still in place from before the flood. Needless to say they got everything done super fast which I really appreciated however I never expected to have to unpack all of my things myself I had a company lined up for a couple days later that would've been of no cost to me by my landlord, who is going to not only move everything, but unpack everything exactly where it belong. I just wanted to move in ASAP and couldn't wait the extra couple days to one week. Needless to say they leave I tip I go in my room and sit on the bed and BOOM I FALL THRU THE BED my bed has an adjustable base, which is all mechanical. I'm not skinny by any means, and I fell right through the bed. None of the legs had been installed properly and the gripper sliders that I had for all of the legs and the dresser and anything that was really heavy on the hardwood floor had not been placed down except at the head of the bed and the foot of the bed, but there is about 6 to 9 legs under the bed, and none of them had sliders I instantly called the woman I first spoke to you and told her that my bad had just collapsed and she said absolutely not. There's no way that happened. I said it absolutely did. The bed was put together incorrectly. I tried to tell the man how to put it together, but he told me he owns the same bed and I said I'll send you is collapsed she swore there was absolutely no way that could've happened. I sent the pictures called her back and she said I'm sorry but we're already done for the day. We won't be able to come back out until tomorrow. I asked her should I sleep on the couch or where should I sleep because I had already checked out of my hotel room to come back to my apartment she said she would call me back eventually showed up fix the bed but now it's permanently slanted and bent to one side BECAUSE THE WHOLE BED ONLY HAD SUPPORT ON all four corners and nothing in the middle. I never got an apology. I never got a call back about how my bad was or anything. my time was not up, I paid the cost and got far less than what I should have the extra time that we had left because you pay by the hour they could've done a quality check on the bed. There was three of them and one of them could've sat on the bed just to make sure everything was installed properly. I asked about insurance before I even booked them and they told me it would be $500 but don't worry they never break anything and they do good business I'm pretty upset still I spent a lot of money on my furniture and expected a1 service Pros They were early They worked efficiently They took great care to not damaged hardwood or scrap freshly painted walls They put the couch together properly They were very respectful They didn't break anything in the boxes or any of my mirrors or pictures. The worker who came out of his way couldn't have been nicer and I really appreciated him coming. I would hire them again. I would however micromanage them and make sure I supervised them I trusted them a little to much and went shopping moved out of my hotel picked my dog up ect while they did whatever it was they needed to I did come back before but I tried to stay out of the way. Pre moving out pod I told them about bed and couch directions and was told they had done this type time and time again and I believe he said he owned the same bed. To his credit he did offer after a back and forth to hang my mirrors but at that point i was over it and didn't want any confrontations It had been 6 months I wanted to get in bed and enjoy being home read more

Duwaine and Justin were amazing! This was a move from an apartment to a house and then to another apartment with lots of stairs, crazy angles, and a very heavy sleeper sofa - you get the picture. They were on time, friendly, worked hard every minute and incredibly careful. They had to detach/re-attach a tabletop from its base and collapse/re-assemble a bedframe. THESE GUYS ARE GREAT. I've never hired movers before so I didn't know what to expect. Duane and Jason were great to work with, and funny too!
