Excellent work! Highly recommend!! A female family member recently had a medical emergency. She is elderly and a also recent cancer survivor. Prior to the recent emergency, she was living independently with a friend. The friend is a male and is also elderly. He is a bit of a hoarder and it is now no longer safe for her to be living with him there. Brian and Jacob with Moving with Grace helped us move her out of the hoarder house and into her own apartment at an assisted living facility. The friend knew we were coming with movers at 0830 to move the furniture out. We rang the doorbell and there was no answer. It was so quiet, I thought the house was empty. So, we enter the house and they guys get right to work. Shortly after they had started wrapping up the furniture, the friend, walks out of the bathroom in a night dress!! So weird and creepy considering he knew we were coming. And very mortifying. The house itself is very filthy and disgusting. There is thick dust and clumps of cat hair everywhere!! Brian and Jacob were both very polite and friendly and pretended it was not disgusting. They were professional and worked diligently despite the filth. They wrapped everything up nicely and got everything loaded up quite quickly. At the apartment, they unloaded everything quickly and then helped us to figure out how to place the furniture to get it all to fit! They did a great job and it is well deserved 5 stars!! read more

We had a short move (Sacramento to Elk Grove, CA) and Moving with Grace handled our move. It was a local move but we lots of furniture and boxes - Small, medium, large, wardrobe boxes. My husband recently hired Moving with Grace to help us move our larger, heavier furniture into our new home. We packed all the boxes ourselves, so they were able to move everything that was already packaged, in addition to our furniture. The moving team arrived within the 8-8:30am timeframe that they said that they would. They arrived ready to work, which was much appreciated. They moved everything with care, so there was very little damage to our furniture. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience with Moving with Grace. Their prices are very reasonable and you definitely get what you pay for. I had an outstanding experience with Moving with Grace this past weekend. They handled both the packing and the move, and everything went incredibly smoothly from start to finish. The packing team (Jacob, Luis, Jeremy, and Matthew) came on Friday and did an amazing job -- careful, organized, and efficient. They paid close attention to every detail, making sure my furniture, art, and electronics were all protected and labeled properly. On Saturday (11/8), we had the same great crew (minus Jeremy, plus Daniel, Ray, and James) for the move itself, and once again, everything went perfectly. The team worked quickly but carefully, and not a single item was damaged or broken. A special shout-out to Jacob, who even came back after they were done to help reassemble a bed -- above and beyond! Everyone was professional, friendly, and respectful, and they made what could have been a stressful process feel easy. I highly recommend Moving with Grace to anyone that needs moving help. I hired Moving with Grace to move 3 heavy furniture pieces from upstairs to downstairs. They called the day before to make the start time earlier, 7a. I was up and ready for them to arrive at 7a and they did not arrive until 8a. They were in a rush. They removed 3 drawers from a desk but not the 4th drawer. They said they were going to saran wrap that drawer so it didn't fall out but they didn't and it swung out while they were carrying it. They charged me $350.00 and were there for 17 minutes. When they left, I noticed 2 of the drawers were broken. I should have checked before they left but they were rushing me. I tried calling 4 different phone numbers for Moving with Grace over several hours of their opening hours and left messages and never heard back. I also e-mailed and never heard back. I will be moving soon and will not be hiring Moving with Grace. Update: I am updating this review to 2 stars because Moving with Grace refunded me $105. I purchased parts on Amazon and fixed the drawers myself. I am still unhappy with them arriving an hour late, rushing, not being careful, and not being forthright and telling me the drawers were broken before they left. They also should give people a name and number of someone that is available the day of a move to call in case there are issues. read more

Initially I chose to work with Moving With Grace because it was a local company & they moved items within a home. - I was prepping for someone returning home from rehabilitation & had to make way for hospital equipment & needed furniture moved to & from upstairs. Two of the nicest young men came & efficiently moved items from floor to floor carefully navigating our challenging staircase that has a 180 degree turn & a highly sculptural metal chairlift rail! -- I was so impressed that when I later required more items moved, I called Moving With Grace again & 2 other equally friendly, polite, & efficient guys showed up to move a treadmill & a few other items. I watched them carefully calculate & choreograph how they would get the treadmill down the stairs and the execution of that choreography was truly awesome to witness! After being in my new place for over a month and finally unboxing all my things, I am clearly missing some items. I suspect it was one of my clear moving bags that I no longer have, filled with various pieces of clothing. I'm sure the movers saw what was inside and decided to steal it. And to think I was super nice to them. Offering water if needed and access to the bathroom. I even gave each one a good tip afterwards. I feel completely taken advantage of by this company. They make you sign after the move that says you received all of the items, but it's pointless if they put the box in the cab, so you can't see it. Stay away from this company. And a helpful tip: Don't use clear bags when using movers. read more

When that day arrived, Jordan and Matt were on time and completed the job in about 2 hours. We had an 8 hour drive ahead and stayed in a hotel overnight. What a joke. We are moving less than 10 minutes away and what we are hiring them to move would take about 1-2 hours max. Other companies offering $130-$180 an hour. We hired Moving by Grace to move our entire house of furniture in Sacramento, to our new home in Davis. The salesman, Rob, took a video in great detail of what needed to be moved and how it would be done. He then sent an inventory list which was confusing. He missed a LOT of stuff he had recorded on the video. He said boxes would be supplied and they would pack the artwork. The movers showed up with no art boxes, even though it was listed they should. They also forget clothes hanging boxes. One guy ran back and picked one up even though we needed 2, but with no poles to hang the clothes on. They just folded the clothing in the box. I was told they would buy the box back, which they didn't. Rob also said the guys don't make that much, and most people tip them $50.00 each. To say they don't make much is an understatement! A $50 tip is twice what they make per hour. There were 5 moving guys. Some left in their own cars, some in the truck. We missed the ones that left early, so we left the $50 tips with the other guys who said they would pass them onto the other movers. On calling the office, we discovered that the workers who left early never got their tips. We were told they wanted $80 to come back and pack all the artwork. They wanted to charge us $360, after they packed it up. We refused. The owner did honor the $80 price. He said they needed a lot more boxes than were estimated. The fine art was not packed in art boxes. They wrapped them in moving blankets and taped the blankets. The rest of our photos, which are not fine art, were packed in boxes. Our fine art was damaged. We signed up for mandatory insurance, and were not offerred a higher rate of coverage for our belongings. We now have to pay out of pocket for these repairs. They also, in the same trip, picked up items they forgot the first time. These items were filmed and again, not on the inventory list they sent us. The gentleman who came to our home to review our move was Rob. We were told he is a fairly new sales person. He has never met, nor interacts with the employees. There is a serious disconnect between the customer, the owner, and the sales staff. The kids were very polite, and prompt, and hard working. They were not professional movers. We had 2 guys and a truck move our kids a few times, and had a much different experience. Nothing was forgotten, nothing was damaged, and the cost was a LOT less than what we had to pay. When they moved the furniture into our new house they left many marks on the wooden floor and a few places they hit the wall. And we keep finding other damage they caused. Justin never followed up on the fixes to repair the mover caused damage. We have had a handyman come over to repair the damage to the walls they caused when moving heavy furniture. They did not cover the matress and the box springs in anything. They were filthy when they set the bed up; I didn't discover that until it was time to make the bed. From the initial contact with Juan to the meeting with Astrid to the five INCREDIBLE young men (Anthony, Vaughn, Richard, Jameson and Josue) the move was done that took all stress away from us.
