This is a long overdue review for Steve and his team at 916 Movers. We moved from a 2-story home to a 1-story home in Natomas in September of 2025. We had a last minute change to our move-in day due to an issue with loan closing documents and were extremely stressed to have to look for movers with less than 48 hour notice and for such a big move with 2 young children to think about. Steve responded quickly and was able to accommodate my request for a Saturday morning move. His team was efficient, kind, and so careful with all of our items. From start to finish, the experience with 916 Movers made the process feel smooth. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the Sacramento Area. Thank you for helping our little family get settled in to our new home in the Northlake Community. read more

We needed help to move 1 truckload of already boxed items to a storage facility 6 miles away for my 94 year old mother and her husband. The pros of the move: short notice for move and they fit us in the schedule, they were on time and completed move in 1.5 hours. The cons of the move: expensive ($860 for 3 to load and unload one truck - 1.5 hours of work), even though website says No Hidden Fees, we were pushed to also add a tip for the workers even though already an expensive charge for very light work - no furniture, no packing, etc., just loading and unloading boxes. I should have asked ahead of time for a discount since the other services weren't involved, but I didn't . I cannot recommend this company because I feel I was very overcharged for the service they provided. read more

We hired 916 movers, they were the most transparent and straight to the point with their pricing. We moved from a two story townhouse into an apartment on the 3rd floor and the 3 guys that moved us not only made it look like a piece of cake to do, they were extremely efficient and treated all of our items like they were their own. I will definitely hire them again in the future if/when we decide to move again. read more

The guys were early, efficient, professional and personable to me in what is always a stressful thing to do like move! I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks Jessie, Zo and Thomas! read more

We've now used 916 Movers twice, and they continue to impress. They offer some of the most competitive rates in the Sacramento area without sacrificing quality. During our recent seven-hour move, the crew worked tirelessly without taking a single break. They handled all our belongings with care, wrapping everything securely to ensure it arrived intact. I highly recommend them and will definitely be a returning customer. read more

I called to request a quote for an upcoming move on 9/23/25 only to be met with complete uninterested dismissal. 1)The man answered the phone as "916" with no other greeting , no " how can I help you" nothing 2) I proceeded to say I wanted a quote for a one-bedroom move and without asking me any information such as inventory, addresses, date of move, nothing.. just says "Yea well minimum you'll have to pay is $525 (or whatever the dollar amount was) 3) rude, no breakdown in cost, no interest in my business, no getting my information, nothing. I just hung up the call because why would I ever do business with a company like that. **Seeing a lot of other reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks maybe a course in communication & customer service is needed. Your business reputation starts the moment you answer the phone Steve. Hope this helps. read more

These guys are excellent excellent excellent highly recommend them, very punctual and careful with wrapping everything to move safely

They did a great job getting me moved out and moved in. They did exactly what I asked and they were very friendly. When my power cable came up missing from my TV, the gentleman who handled it, bought and brought me a new one all the way out to my new home to replace it. I think that's pretty above and beyond! Thank you Jesse! I definitely recommend them! I will utilize their service on my next move! (The only constructive feedback I could offer to improve my experience, would be to be mindful of co-worker disagreements/arguments in ear shot of customers. It can cause concern and tension. Other than that I would have given 6 stars if I could) Top notch service! Book them! read more

Steve, Jesse and the crew make 916 Movers a 1st class moving service! They are so good that I kept their contact info in my phone from when our family used them last year so we could hire them again. The need to use a moving company recently arose and we called them. They moved our mother's furniture from Roseville to a better quality Assisted Living Facility in Rocklin. 916 Movers demonstrated every quality you'd want in a company tasked to responsibly handle your move. From their professional "Can-do" attitude, to their knowledge of how to quickly execute the handling and safe, successful transfer of special furniture pieces, to their creativity of rapidly solving any unexpected issues that may arise, 916 Movers is an outstanding company comprised of an intelligent, experienced and hard-working team and the clear choice you can rely on in the Sacramento and surrounding areas. The company easily earned a top 5 Star Rating. Call them now! read more

I didn't even use their services. They called me to give me a quote, the second I answered the phone the guy on the call said he was from 916movers and was calling to give me a quote that I requested. I said oh ya, hi. He asked what size house I have and I told him 1400sqft, but I was only needing help with the large items not the whole house. He interrupted me and said, but the house is fully furnished..... my thoughts, um duh, I just said I was moving. Anyways, I told him yes, but again, I only need the couches, bed frames, mattresses type items moved. Then he asked me if I have a garage or shed, I said yes. I have a washer and dryer in the garage and a home gym in the barn. He says I need to disassemble the entire home gym since it's a pully system to get it out and they don't do that. I told him I'll just move it, it'll fit down my side yard without disassembling it. Then he back tracked and said oh well we can move it assembled if it'll fit. The whole conversations he sounded so annoyed and was very rude. He said it would be $825 for 3 guys and a minimum of 4 hours. They would bring a truck and dollies and shrink wrap........ I told him I was moving 5 miles away and already have a moving truck and just need the guys. I don't need a truck or moving equipment as I already have that. He said it didn't make sense for them to use the truck I already have if they are going to load up at the old house and then unload at the new house......That makes no sense to me. At this point I was over the conversation and felt like I should have just hung up a long time ago. I would never use a company that talks to a potential customer that way just for a quote!! Looks like this is beginning to be a trend with this company. SAVE YOURSELF THE RUDE PHONE CALL AND LOOK FOR DIFFERENT MOVERS!!! read more

Very happy with the service, good price and expeditious. Highly recommend! **********

The guys were awesome! They were fast and zero damage. If I was ever to need help with moving again I would 100% use these guys!

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but we've moved a lot over the last 10 years so I do have some experience with other movers. We hired them to pack up our moving truck for a cross country move. The two gentlemen that loaded our things were very kind and easy to work with. However, they started to stack boxes in the truck (before I noticed) with wardrobe boxes being the base of a 10 ft high stack. Wardrobe boxes cannot handle that kind of weight on top of them, so they collapsed, and that created a domino effect of all of our boxes falling over in the move. On top of that, they stacked heavy boxes onto a decorative long, skinny table, breaking the table with all the weight it was bearing. This was especially upsetting because it's a sentimental piece of furniture that can't be replaced. Unfortunately, I do not recommend them. read more

Our experience with 916 Movers was positive in all ways! Aaron, Thomas, and the rest of the team were all the things you could want in movers: friendly, careful with our things, accommodating of our needs and requests with great attitudes all around even when we changed our minds on things, and hard hard hard working. We got great value for what they did for us. And the team works together so well and it made the move feel almost peaceful. Moving is very hard. Hiring 916 Movers was well worth it and made it a LOT less hard. Will definitely use them again should we have to move, but REALLY hope that doesn't happen for a long time! read more

DO NOT go with this company!!! They broke a dresser and a couch during a move and when I contacted the owner, he would not take responsibility, would not let me get a word in, kept making excuses, and was right down rude and nasty. They also dented my washer and dryer and now my washer keeps stalling. Save your furniture, save your money, and save the hassle and DON'T contact this company...EVER!!! read more

Loved these guys. They were amazing. Able to calm my mom down from the beginning, reliable, fun and made my day so much easier. Thank you guys for everything read more

916 Movers - They were amazing. Highly recommended. A+ - Movers Near Me - Roseville, California

We liked working with this business. They were professional, kind, and had recommendations to help with our move.

You say that you offered to come back and take the remaining stuff, however you were going to charge us again to do so. When it should have been completed the first time correctly. We asked if a walk through was needed and your guys said no. You are not a good company any longer. In response to their response....the movers told us we didn't need a walkthrough when we asked & you did not offer to go back unless we were charged more because it was such an inconvenience to you. Also, one of your guys was just standing around quite frequently, so it might not have taken as much time to begin with if they all actually worked. read more

These guys are good! We had a scheduled date for them to move a grandfather clock. But then they called me to see if I would be able to do it on an earlier date, which ended up working out for me. They got there on time, and was very professional about everything. They took the clock apart, transported it securely, and put it back together. They didn't rush the job, and took their time until the job was completed. I definitely would recommend these movers to anyone in Sacramento. read more

This company quoted me close to $800 to move a sofa, bed, fridge, washer/dryer within the same city. Overpriced 3 man @ 175 per hour minimum 4 hours + 75 gas fee ? I'm paying for professional quick movers not ones that take tons of breaks. NO, this job requires 2 man and 2 hours! I'll go rent a U Haul thanks for attempted robbery. read more

916 Movers dented 2 of our file cabinets during a house move. When we contacted them about it, they refused to take responsibility for it and were kind of nasty about it. There are lots of other moving companies out there. I would NOT recommend this company. read more

Wanted to charge me $700 to move 5 pieces of furniture to a storage unit 5 miles from the house. $700 is 2-3 times what the furniture is worth. Just not even a realistic quote - did they even read the item list I provided? read more

The person that schedules was very helpful & patient on the phone. He sounds disinterested but then takes the time to discuss things & problem-solve. We went with his suggestion fora team of 6 guys & 2 trucks, as our heavily furnished home probably would not have fit in just one. The team was friendly & great to work with. They were very efficient & even moved oddly packed things that we had set aside, thinking we would move them ourselves. They finished under the minimum - it was a bit of a whirlwind & after they left, I discovered some things that were moved to the wrong spot so I wish I'd caught it in time since we still had over an hour! Found some slight damage on one bookshelf, I think it had been tipped on its side & slid, & unfortunately some grit underneath caused scratches. Nothing major but missed in the final walk through because it had been placed backwards against the wall so I didn't see until I realized it was backwards & turned it around a week later. Oh well. They were great to work with. read more

I've used 916 Movers Inc on my last few moves (yes, unfortunately I've moved that much). They're easy to book, courteous and very cognizant to not eat up the clock while moving you. I appreciate the hard work they do, and love that they come with a smile on their faces and a friendly attitude. Let's face it; you're hiring them because you don't want to do all that back-breaking lifting. Thanks for another successful move! read more
