I scheduled a three-person moving team for my move. The movers were very young, and while they were polite and hardworking, it appeared to me that they lacked experience with a move of my size. During the move, a woman from the office called to ask how things were going. I shared my concerns about their apparent lack of experience and how long I thought it might take to move my three-bedroom home. Her response surprised me. She said, "Well, we can cancel your move if you'd like." I replied that I did not want to cancel and that I would simply have to stop the move once I reached my budget. Shortly after our conversation, she sent me an email stating that if the movers were not treated well, they could cancel the move. This completely caught me off guard because nothing in our conversation suggested that the movers were being mistreated. I responded asking where that was coming from, and she replied, "If no language, then nothing to worry about. Wishing you a great day!" I later posted a review about my interaction with her. Shortly afterward, I received an email stating that my move had been canceled. The office instructed the movers to leave my belongings in the driveway. I was mortified. I called and pleaded with them to have the movers put my belongings back inside the house. I was told they would only do so if I deleted my review. To avoid being left with my belongings in the driveway, I reluctantly removed the review. We then paid the movers directly in cash for their time, as none of this was their fault. I waited over a month to post this review because it took an unusually long time to receive my deposit refund. I would be very cautious about booking this company. My experience with Paula was extremely disappointing. I don't know why she was so aggressive, but this is not the type of customer service or business practice I would ever want to deal with again. read more

Sergey and Sasha helped us move from our apartment to a house. I can confidently speak on both their helpfulness and their work ethic. Not only were they champs at moving everything out of our 3rd floor apartment with no elevator, but they did this during the month of June - on one of the hottest days . I felt extremely guilty that Mother Nature had decided to make it unbearably hot . However, they were efficient, strategic, and extremely kind throughout the 12-13 hour day. I expected them to make at least some kind of comment about our planning- not a single complaint or word. I can't say enough how incredibly reassuring it was for me that the two people touching every single one of my belongings have this positive and trustworthy energy. Booking the move was also quite seamless and we were able to secure this less than a week prior. The company has certain policies that safeguard their work and ensure no possible accidents, which I appreciate. I don't really have any constructive feedback, except that I really hope they are paid well for their work ethic. The cost of the move is per hour and reasonable, especially considering the circumstances and logistics of the move during this particular day. I decided to hire a moving company which I normally don't. I figured hiring a real company would give less stress overall. That was not the case. They initially quoted me 1700$ for an 8 hr move. I have a 4 bedroom home, 2 stories (however 2 bedrooms only had minimal furniture that needed to be moved-no beds, 1 dresser each). Also note that I did a zoom call and showed them all of my furniture that needed to be moved. On the day of the move, me and my boyfriend moved all boxes and little furniture items to the bottom level for easier removal, as well as rolled and taped all rugs up. Hoping this would facilitate a timely loading of the truck as I didn't want to get stuck in traffic. They arrived at 10 am 7/2 and did not finishing loading the truck until 3. I could definitely tell they started to move slower as the day went on. I bought them lunch hoping this might fuel them lol I was wrong. Apparently drive time in cali for movers is double the cost. So my 1hr 30 drive (now due to traffic) was billed as 3 hours. Okay whatever. When we got to the house I was informed that we had now hit my contract time of 8 hrs because of the drive time (it was 4:30). I was asked if I then just wanted them to unload everything into my garage! Ummmm no. I could tell they did not want to finish unloading. On top of this they placed the wrong bed into the wrong room after telling them 3 times. Also could not remember how to reassemble the furniture. Oh yes and broke a $150 chair and I wasn't even offered any type of reimbursement. They finally finished at 7pm. My grand total for the move now came to 2100$. BUT WAIT the best part of all this....I paid 2 thousand dollars and they still left items at the old house (roughly 6-8 boxes and 2 bikes). So I had to go back to the old house 2 times in my car to retrieve everything. Of course unless I wanted to pay another 5-6hrs to them. Which is ridiculous that I had a video call, told them my house size etc and they still couldn't bring a big enough truck or at least packed it a little better. Did my stuff get moved? Yes. Would I hire them again? No. Also was frustrating that only 1 of the 3 men there spoke English and he was the one in the actual truck loading and unloading. So every time there was an issue with where furniture was placed I had to go talk to him and then he would have to stop what he was doing to go translate it to them. read more

Reached out for a quote reached a voicemail so I hung up received a return phone call from a guy that was very insistent upon me providing him with the move information, rather than discussing the quote. When we got to the quote, he told me three hour minimum 159 an hour however on the website, it shows 149 an hour he told me that was their winter hours and he would have the website updated. I asked him to honor that, he would not. after going forward and agreeing, reluctantly to the 159 an hour, he then, at the very end of getting things squared away, mentioned an additional $150 fee. Mind you, he told me at the beginning of the conversation there were no hidden fees, no truck fees, no gas fees, and then yet he disclosed a an additional $150 fee at the end. That's not how you do good business, that's sneaky and absolutely uncalled for.. I told him never mind I'm not interested. Cancel the order. So, those of you looking for movers, move right on past this company, they're not who you want to do business with. Hidden fees are no so hidden. I used this company to move from our townhouse and storage unit into our new house. Requesting a quote was really easy and I did it online. What was impressive was that about 30 seconds after I submitted my quote request I received a phone call to provide said quote. The employee on the phone walked me through everything asked about additional supplies and if we needed help packing and I was scheduled for our move within like 15 min of requesting a quote. On the day of the move I received text messages and phone calls keeping me informed of when they would arrive. I requested 3 movers and it seemed like the movers that came were family so they worked well together. We discussed what would be staying and what would be going which was done correctly for the most part. They took great care of our furniture and wrapped things up very extensively to ensure no damage to the furniture. They were very specific on how they were loading their truck. I really appreciated how the main guy worked with me to try to make sure all our furniture wa sliced form both places and they were nice enough to go to multiple stops for us (this was discussed ahead of time and figured into the total cost), it took a while to move from place to place so the movers needed to take a lunch which they didn't take very long. They moved everything into the house without causing any damage or scuffs on the walls and worked well when I told them what was going into which room. They also deconstructed our table and bed to move it over and put it back together for us. One of the three movers didn't speak very much English but the other two did. They worked the whole time, they didn't lolligag to cost me more money. The total cost of the move would probably be on the lower end of some of the quotes I've seen but also pretty reasonable given the time, multiple locations, etc. The movers were super nice and I really appreciate their hard work. read more

I want to update my review. First, I do want to say that my moving experience was absolutely awesome. These guys were very professional and worked extremely hard. I had two places that I had to move stuff from and one of them had stairs. Not to mention, the place I moved into also had stairs. But nothing slowed these guys down. After 5 1/2 hrs, the last piece of furniture was the antique bar that weighed about 370 lbs, which I did pay extra for the move. Unfortunately, it did get damaged. Secondly, I have to give Paula a shout out for excellent customer service. After I wrote original review, Paula was calling my phone within 5 minutes. She stated that they were unaware of the damage because of a previous employee hadn't relayed any information before leaving the job. She wanted to fix the problem immediately. After I sent pictures and copies of all the emails from November, we were able to come up with a solution that made me happy. This whole experience, overall, was a good experience. I would definitely recommend Service Pro Movers if you ever need to move. I would definitely use them again myself, if I move again. They're very reasonable with their prices and they over and above. The moving team of 4 worked quickly and handled my items with care. They completed a big local move in just over 6 hours due to their pace. I never once saw any of the 4 standing around not working while on the job, which, if you've experienced this before with movers, can be quite frustrating.
