My Italian hutch. Can't get the shelf back on as the pieces to hold it are gone. Look at that damage.

The movers broke so many items, crushed bins, damaged furniture- it's too much to list. If you don't care if your stuff is damaged and you get a penny on the dollar to fix it (forget about replacing anything), these are your guys. Truck was too small so they just crushed stuff to make it fit. Mattresses were strapped to the back. Nice Beverley Hillbilly way to move. Do NOT use them. The cost to move was $1200 over the quoted price. No one would show me the scale weight either.

Horrible horrible company. We just moved into our new apartment from Florida. We arrived July 10th. The movers did not arrive until July 28th. Upon their scheduled arrival there was no call ahead of time to alert us they were close by. We were given an arrival time of 8-9am. They arrived at 10am. We were adamant from the beginning that our bed frame be reassembled. This was part of our agreement with our initial moving company Zippyshell who contracted out to Yolo Transfer upon our cargo arriving on the west coast. The movers did not assemble the frame and simply left after unloading everything. When we contacted Yolo about the bed frame we were told that I told the movers not to worry about the bed which is a complete lie. I told them not to worry about how our furniture was placed and I would re-arrange once I got off work. The rep Maria we spoke with did not care one bit. Why would she? They already got our money. Do not give your business to these lazy crooks. P.S. there are a ton of fake positive reviews for this company so don't let that fool you.

    Broken plaster statue

We moved across town recently. I specifically showed the head mover our antique plaster statue which has been in my family for 3 generations. They did not box it, only stood it up wrapped in a blanket and it was broken on arrival. With the exception of one mover there has been no apology, interest or remorse. We were told to get estimates and we found someone to repair for $2200. Yolo grudgingly is paying $150. We chose a local mover to help business but are very disappointed in every aspect of Yolo Transfer. Terrible experience and service.

We had no other way of moving this and both Mikes made it happen. I'm so happy

We had Yolo Transfer move us from Davis to Oakland, and I have to say they are the best movers I've worked with so far.

Excellent work! Highly recommend!!…read more A female family member recently had a medical emergency. She is elderly and a also recent cancer survivor. Prior to the recent emergency, she was living independently with a friend. The friend is a male and is also elderly. He is a bit of a hoarder and it is now no longer safe for her to be living with him there. Brian and Jacob with Moving with Grace helped us move her out of the hoarder house and into her own apartment at an assisted living facility. The friend knew we were coming with movers at 0830 to move the furniture out. We rang the doorbell and there was no answer. It was so quiet, I thought the house was empty. So, we enter the house and they guys get right to work. Shortly after they had started wrapping up the furniture, the friend, walks out of the bathroom in a night dress!! So weird and creepy considering he knew we were coming. And very mortifying. The house itself is very filthy and disgusting. There is thick dust and clumps of cat hair everywhere!! Brian and Jacob were both very polite and friendly and pretended it was not disgusting. They were professional and worked diligently despite the filth. They wrapped everything up nicely and got everything loaded up quite quickly. At the apartment, they unloaded everything quickly and then helped us to figure out how to place the furniture to get it all to fit! They did a great job and it is well deserved 5 stars!!

I used Yelp to get several quotes and I picked Sacramento Brothers because they had the best quote and quick communication. They showed up the day of the move on time and got right to work. They showed up at the new place quickly and started unloading ASAP. I had leaf a couple things I needed across town so I left them to it. By the time I got back they were finished. They quoted me a 3 hour minimum and finished just before 3 hours. They didn't try to pad the time at all and the bill was exactly what they quoted me. I'll definitely use Sacramento Brothers next time I move and they even offer a small discount for repeat customers. You should definitely at least get a quote from them if read all this.

This included over an hour drive to my new place with one stop in between!!! I might also mention that it POURED RAIN all day during the move. Didn't slow these guys down whatsoever. They were SOAKED. I do feel I was VERY prepared for the move with no loose items and everything boxed up and stacked ready for my move. I have moved four times in five years, and these guys were the best I have used and a great value! I HIGHLY recommend this moving company, and when I leave here, they will again get my business. I am HIGHLY pleased (and I'm super picky!). Thank you Sacramento Brothers Moving!

I sent out a moving request on Yelp and received a message promptly regarding price and availability. After getting the necessary information, I went ahead with booking. A couple of days before the move, I saw rain in the forecast and reached out to see if things would still move forward. Rain or shine, everything still went on as planned. Manny and Trey arrived on time and got to work ASAP. They loaded everything on the truck at the two requested locations and headed to Sacramento. Once we got to Sacramento, they started unloading everything. The move was to the 3rd floor of an apartment building with no elevator and down the hall from the stairs. Though it was a tough move, Manny and Trey were both patient, kind, and efficient. They even cracked a few jokes, and we shared some laughs. It began to rain at the end of the move, and they still continued with a positive attitude. I am so grateful for their hard work, amazing service, and dedication to helping me get moved in. They got the job done in under 3 hours through everything. I would 1000% book with Affordable Movers again. The service was great, the movers are hardworking, and it lived up to its reputation for being affordable, too. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your service.

The crew was easygoing, efficient, and careful with our belongings. They handled a tough Sacramento-to-Los Angeles move in a single day and stayed within our budget, which we really appreciated. Overall, this was one of the best moving experiences I've had in a long time. A few items weren't handled exactly how I might have expected, but that's partly on me. I probably overpacked some boxes and assumed certain things would always stay on top. Nothing was seriously damaged or broken, and that's what matters most. I'd definitely recommend them and would use them again.

The regular helper was not available so the mover brought someone he introduced as his uncle who…read moreshowed up in flip flops. The "uncle" disappeared about half way through the job. Before that, he was so careless that he broke an irreplaceable beveled mirror on an antique dresser that was a family heirloom of my late mother's. I understand accidents happen, so I didn't say anything but I was startled that they didn't really apologize or acknowledge the loss. I am disabled with Long Covid fatigue and was under medical orders not to exert myself (which is why I hired a pair of movers). However, I ended up having to help because the helper disappeared and there was no one else to help carry the furniture. The job had to be finished by nightfall so the containers could be returned to Uhaul by the next day. If I had not helped, they were not going to finish by nightfall. By the end of the day, I was so exhausted that there was no way I was going to be able to help move a final desk from upstairs to the driveway and to move the new piece of furniture in its place. So that was left pending. Suffice it to say, I ended up bed-ridden as a result and lost many months of work. A few months later, I wrote to see if they might stop by to move that one desk downstairs and replace it with the desk from the Uhaul that was stashed in the garage because I couldn't care it (I'm a single mother, so I could not do this alone with chronic fatigue in the pandemic). I wrote, "Shouldn't take but 15 minutes. I've recently had surgery (a last step from my cancer in remission) so it will be a few months until I can lift things. I have guests coming in a couple of weeks and I'd love to have the guest room in better order." He told me it would be a $120 minimum (again, this was for a job they left incomplete because I didn't have the physical strength to help carry these two items after his partner left). I declined because I didn't think that $120 was appropriate for a job they had left undone and that would take less than 15 minutes. Again, I didn't complain, but made a mental note never to use these movers again. A few months ago this business send me an invoice for another customer. I reminded him of who I was and he proceeded to gaslight me and deny all the above (for which I have photos and a long paper trail of correspondence with Uhaul about the tight delivery time). If he had apologized, I would have kept quiet, but the fact that he accused me of lying when I ended up in bed for three months with soul-crushing Long Covid fatigue as a result of this ordeal was the straw that broke this camel's back. I think that businesses that take advantage of disabled single mothers should have that known publicly. Update -- 3/29/23. Since I posted this review, the mover dug up my telephone and has been sending me a series of messages that I am "slandering" him and "lien" [lying]. Again, had the mover had the compassion or manners to simply apologize for the broken heirloom furniture or to recognize that his hired partner had disappeared midway through the job leaving me to work on a clock for which I was paying him, or offered a reasonable quote for a 15 minute job, I might have considered removing this review. However, angrily messaging an aggrieved client about a Yelp review is not an o.k. response. I may be physically weak, but I do have the power of the pen. Devin was hard working, but his partner (whoever he was, I recall being told he was an uncle, but whatever) was NOT an appropriate helper. As a business, he should have taken responsibility and apologized and been willin to make amends. Again, while I was shocked that at the $120 price quote, I am not a conflictive person and would honestly have been happy with an apology. I'm so tired of being taken advantage as a single mother. I also noticed that another reviewer noted that he texted her that she had an attitude, so this seems to be part of a pattern of angry responses to reviews.
