if I could give less than one star, I would, Vicki promises the world on the phone don't worry the boys will take care of everything. They will wrap everything anything you need done they will do. The two boys, Rob and Robert got to the house and treated me like a redheaded stepchild... they were irritated. I had donuts, vegetables and fruit Gatorade, water everything set out for them told them not to worry about taking breaks that they were to take them. I even bought them each of wet nap for their neck stays wet all day long so they would not overheat. I was incredibly kind to them and they were treating me horribly. the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife... I finally just said what did I do? What is wrong? They said we need more money and not just more money more than double their quote another $500. OK well I was frustrated to say the least but miscommunication happens so I came up with the other $500 and then they delivered this crap. My furniture wasn't wrapped. I have to get things fixed. They worked for three hours and said they would come back the next day, but I wish to have certain things done. They didn't wanna wrap they didn't wanna wrap the little stuff that was my job.... "The manager where I am renting a townhome asked me this morning. What did you do to those men? They were angry, I said nothing absolutely nothing was very kind to them. She said well. The tension was horrible. I didn't even want to walk outside the office"..... That's pretty bad it essentially added up to being bullied into giving them more money. Which was fine. Have they done a decent job but I'm gonna have to have furniture repaired and it's gonna take me 23 hours to fix what they actually take the unit apart and wrap this furniture properly I have asked Vicki for a portion of a refund and she's now not answering the phone and unavailable.... For some reason, I'm not able to put pictures on here, but they did not wrap my furniture at all. They basically put one wrap around so the doors wouldn't open. The tops are not wrap. The bottoms are not wrapped and I PROVIDED THE WRAP!!!! Do not under any circumstances hire these guys for your move unless you want to bait and switch and have to pay three times what you are quoted and do most of the work yourself The pieces in the pictures that were wrapped properly. WOW, where do I even begin? These guys seriously kicked a**! I've always had problems with any type of mover's, but not with Robbie and his workers! He made everything fit which didn't even look close to possible. I had a 4 bedroom house worth of belongings between an apartment and storage unit that he somehow made fit. On top of that nothing broke from being packed, and moved to the new house. He and his co worker stayed much later than expected too and didn't slow down, complain or lose their great attitude for a second (we are talking 10 am to midnight) Powerhouse really is the perfect name. They know what they are doing and I was fully confident with them the whole time. I will only be using Powerhouse movers from now on! Powerhouse packed up most of a two bedroom apartment and moved it across town to a house we recently purchased. they sent two different crews, one to pack... These ladies showed up and knocked it out. They were cheerful and even told me some ways I could save money by using different boxes. They were awesome! When the guys showed up, they were professional and focused. disassembled everything that needed it, moved all the boxes into the truck, drove it over directly. They were quick and careful with all of my belongings. Good price... It was somewhere around $1500 all in... There may be cheaper out there, but they were definitely worth every penny I paid. Would use them again without hesitation... In fact, may have another job for them soon. it's hard to pick movers, because you don't want a bad experience. But my experience with power was great! After my original movers decided to cancel on the day of my move, I was left in a tight spot. I called Rob and he promptly responded saying he was able to move us same day given my emergency situation. Rob and his partner were amazing moving our things efficiently and carefully from a 3 story townhouse into a 2 story house. We had a few heavy boxes and fragile items and they handled everything so gracefully and are very hard workers. I just moved to the area and the only thing I hadn't managed to get into my house was my huge LG refrigerator. I throughout the job to multiple companies and powerhouse was the first to message me back and they actually noticed I only had one item that needed to be moved. After removing door handles and taking it across the lawn and around the property all the way to the back door then up two steps and moving the old refrigerator into its new spot the job was handled and everything was in place where it needed to go. If you need moving services, look no further. The owner, Rob, is a straight-up miracle worker! He moved my elderly parents from Roseville to the Bay Area and he made it such a great experience. He and his team were on time, worked so hard and efficiently, and they were so professional. My parents had at least 1 million boxes and a lot of furniture, and Rob somehow made it all fit in one truck. It was amazing. Also not one thing was broken nor scratched. It literally was the most perfect move ever. I will never use anyone else for moving services. When you call and speak with Vicki, she's also amazing, so patient and kind and so helpful. They quoted me what I thought was a fair price up front, agreed to it, then comes moving day. 1. They call 30min before they are supposed to be there and say they are having personal issues and would like to come 1-2 hours later. We understand things come up so we agree to give them an extra hour before they show up, but for them to please be there by 12 noon because we were on a time crunch. They agreed to be there no later than 12. They show up at 1220, and don't start working until 1245. They showed up in a uhaul truck, they charged me basically 2 1/2 times the cost to rent a uhaul because they were supplying the truck! I would have gone and rented my own damn truck if I knew they were just going to rent it from uhaul! They start out moving quickly so we let all that slide thinking they will hustle and make up for it, we were wrong. The speed slowed to a crawl after an hour, then it was almost like they were sandbagging a little. Once we got the apartment all loaded up they left for our new residence and we were behind them. They got to the new place before us as we stopped at the bank to get their cash (they only accept cash). We were right behind them tho and they had already been let into the new house to unload. Every box was marked with its correct location, but they proceeded to just stack everything in the dining room, literally to the ceiling. They started rushing, throwing things carelessly and braking some of our items. When it cam time to pay, they charged double our quote saying they added more in for driving time, mileage, etc. which was already included in our quote. The even charged us mileage and time to return the uhaul truck back! So we paid them as to not cause a confrontation right there in front of our new landlord. Upon inspection of our items that night/following day we noticed they damaged our dining room furniture, our bedroom hardwood dresser, broke mugs, picture frames, etc. We contacted them that following day about the damage and were told "sorry, they weren't covering any of it"! We asked for their insurance information, "We will not give you any of our information". We asked about being overcharged "We should have charged you even more"! The kicker to all of this is the owner Rob was one of the people doing the moving! Great customer service my man! That was sarcasm in case it didn't read that way. He was rude, unfriendly, and very unprofessional. Do yourselves a favor, hire a company that cares about their customers, and wants to earn future business. They were great! On time, packed the truck quickly got to my new place, unpacked quickly and without damaging anything.

We used Powerhouse Packing and were totally disappointed. They charged for hours not worked and required cash only payments daily. They got very sloppy and packed items in mislabeled boxes. When we moved and opened boxes, there were so many damaged items. Some of them were not so expensive but very precious. Also, watch those packing supply charges. read more

One star for poor customer service once the bill has been paid. They move on (no pun intended) once you pay. I'll change this rating if I ever hear from them, but am not holding my breath. 5 bed 3 bath house. 2900sqf home. Packing was average. I've seen faster. Two day job. You are on the hook to provide the boxes and tape. I don't mind that. Get what you feel comfortable with. Move was like most are. Uneventful with several broken items. Everyone was polite. Three person move. Took longer than the company estimated. To be honest, I chalk that up to the actual mover not looking at the house before the move and only the packer seeing it. Children's dresser had two legs ripped off the bottom. That would have been avoided by checking furniture before moving. Keepsake box with every breakable child memory dropped in the truck. Handprints, christening gifts, all shattered. Issue is that legs are gone. It looks like crap now that it's legless. Not anywhere to be found. No communication as to where they are or if they were tossed. Keepsakes damage was talked about and apologized for. Called company for negotiation for keepsakes and information on dresser. Was able to contact packer (who is Vicki, the moving company owner's mother) and she advised to take it up with owner (Robert). Not a word. Multiple attempts. read more

We had an amazing experience with Powerhouse Packing and Relocation. I contacted them via Yelp and received a response within a few hours of their standard rates from Vicki who asked me to give her a call for more information. When I called she was on a packing job and said she could come by later that afternoon to do a walkthrough and give us a quote. We were moving some things to storage and some things to a temporary rental and she went through and made a note of how everything should be sorted. What I appreciated most was her flexibility. We weren't exactly sure when our home was going to close or our exact move-out day, so she gave us the days they were already booked and said just to keep her in the loop. Our days ended up aligning with her calendar so they spent a day and a half packing us, carefully wrapping all of our fragile pieces, and helping us organize stuff in the garage so it would be easier for the movers to identify what was going to storage and what was going to the house. It was CRAZY between them packing, my handyman working on last-minute repairs, my housekeeper cleaning up - so much was going on but Vicki is a nice calming presence that made everything feel like it was going smoothly. On move day, they showed up on time and were super nice. We have a massive Cal King bed and it took almost 2 hours for Rob to disassemble it. He carefully wrapped all of the pieces together with the bolts and wrapped all of the rest of the furniture they were moving as well. We had a lot of stuff to move and they ended up making more than 1 trip between storage and the house. The move took longer than they anticipated but they were pleasant and helpful throughout it all which we appreciated. As soon as we find a new house, we will definitely be calling them again to move us in. Their pricing was excellent and they were all a pleasure to work with.
