2nd move in 6 months. Hired SC Movers for the first move, so this was an easy call. They did an excellent job the first go-around with some challenging stairs. This move was probably even more challenging yet you would never know it the way they knocked it out. Like the first time, they were punctual, professional, and expedient. Prompt, reliable, flexible, efficient, and responsive--everything you want in a moving company when you're moving. It was easy to communicate with Rachel and book SC Movers via text. Rachel responded promptly and recommended the right package for our moving needs (we primarily needed help moving the large furniture from the second story). After booking SC Movers for the move, we had to delay our moving date to finish painting at our new house; luckily, they had guys available on the new date to accommodate our request and Rachel changed our move date, no questions asked. On moving day, Jason and Josh arrived promptly at 8 am, gave us a rundown of their policies, and got to moving. We wanted to get the big furniture out from upstairs and whatever else we could while trying to stay within the 4-hour minimum for the booking. The guys told us when they thought they should stop loading and take the truck to the new place to allow enough time to unload to try and keep us within 4 hours. They loaded and unloaded efficiently. Though we went a little over the 4 hours, it was close enough and no fault of the movers. While we have no plans to move in the near future, we will definitely use SC Movers for any moving needs! read more

They arrived at 8:30 AM, told me work started then, and sat around in our apartment for over 20 minutes before finally starting to actually work after 9:00 AM, still tried to charge starting 8:30. Then while unloading, I overheard one of the two movers actually tell the other they needed to slow down, because they were moving too fast and would not be able to charge enough. They also took a 30 minute break without telling us, and when we called them on it tried to tell us they had only taken 5 minutes and legally they should be taking 15 so they were actually doing me a favor. I'm fine with a break but at least let us know, and don't try to lie to us about anything. I witnessed one of them spending 15-30 minutes at a time, multiple times, just talking with random passerbys in the street, trying to sell their services, meanwhile not working and charging me $135 per hour. Finally at the end, when I called them out on all of their crap, they tried to claim they were just being cautious, not going slow on purpose, but even while being "cautious" they managed to break three pieces of furniture. I literally watched one of them drag an entertainment center on the ground, break a leg of the furniture, then look up to me and claim it was pre-broken. When driving to the new house they charge double drive time. I explained three times our address was new and did not show up on GPS so I could give them a different address nearby to use instead. They declined insisting they knew exactly where it was. At the other end I get a call saying they were lost. After directing them the right way they tell me they are still charging me for the entire time they were lost, at double the hourly rate, because it was my fault because the address did not show up on GPS, as I had tried to tell them three times. When it came time to pay the bill I refused to pay the full amount due to all the above so they had me speak to the owner. The owner simply stated they believed their employees over all else and called me a liar. Ironically enough, suddenly the employees valued their time and said they had to go, so they took their phone back in mid call when I was speaking to the owner (remember they had called the owner and given me the phone telling me to talk to them). At this point I was furious at my treatment and demanded they get off my property. They refused and even squared up with me as if to fight until I called the police and they finally left, but not before screaming back at me that I was a Motherf***er as they pulled off. This was the worst treatment I have ever received from a company and I strongly encourage anyone considering them to think twice before giving them your hard earned cash. read more

They were quick, efficient, and so very careful with our furniture! One of the movers went way above and beyond by fixing our wobbly dining table! I wish I could remember his name, he was awesome! Their prices are reasonable and they were very accommodating to our schedule. My only regret is that my darn husband didn't tip them, they totally earned it. read more

If looking for movers and trying to figure which one. STOP right here, I made the appointment at a recommendation of a friend. They were on time greeted by Shawn and Denny very courteous and professional as they moved a large heavy desk and a credenza. Before that call to SC Movers, 2 of my friends offered to help me move it from one house to another house but it was heavy and difficult and I did not want to damage it. so after many weeks looking for a mover a friend recommended them that's best thing I ever did. It was amazing as Shawn and Denny made it look easy also had them move a large butcher block table from outside (300+ pounds) to inside my kitchen. Kudos to SC Movers, Shawn and Denny. I was lucky enough to book SC Movers for a 1 bedroom apartment move on April 21st 2020. These guys showed up 15 min early, were beyond professional and were incredibly quick and efficient! I had to basically force a break and water on them . Brock came in and explained how the move would go, covered any questions that I had prior to starting and explained the paperwork. Jeremiah and Bryan grabbed a handful of stuff on the first trip and they were off. This wasn't the easiest move. From a third floor apartment into a second floor! But they were awesome! Done quicker than expected, excellent attitudes throughout and just so positive! My expectations were beyond exceeded and I will be a glad return customer for any future moves in the Sacramento area. I'll have to say this company impressed me. I found them on yelp and the owner responded within minutes. I asked a few questions about availability, insurance and price. The lady was very responsive and professional. They were available last minute and on Sunday (huge plus, and didn't charge an arm and a leg to do so) .... I booked! I read a lot of reviews beforehand and noticed a pattern of reveiewers mentioned small truck and not covering couch/mattress. So, I bought items to protect them beforehand. I will say, I was worried about the size of the truck they would show up with. Fast forward, moving day. They drivers showed up right at 8AM!! Huge moving truck, I was so happy. The movers were nice, introduced themselves and got STRAIGHT to work! They busted some serious tail the entire time. They didn't stop for breaks, didn't check their phones or even sit for a moment. They packed the truck like pros... I could tell this wasn't their first rodeo. They entire process from start to finish wasn't stressful at all thanks to the gentleman that moved me. Those two guys deserve a raise cause they made your company look good! I highly recommend this company. I wish I had remembered the movers names.. I'm so glad SC Movers was my moving company. I did price another company but their availability did not fit my needs. SC Movers was available in a couple of days from my request. I was contacted promptly, definitely within the 30-minutes that Yelp says they take to respond. Normally rates are for a 3-hour minimum (I believe) but I only needed a handful of items relocated. I mentioned this and they accommodated me with a 2-hour minimum at $120/hour. Receiving the quote and setting up the appointment took only a few messages. The truck and Mike and James arrived even a little earlier than the scheduled 8 am pick-up. Mike is an experienced mover, he mentioned 20 years in the industry, and was efficient and very careful with my items. I had a glass tv stand which was carefully wrapped up and securely maneuvered into the truck. I also had a washer and dryer to move and it seemed like a piece of cake for them. My laundry room is located upstairs and Mike and James were careful when setting up a plan for the move. They placed a cloth down on the floor so they wouldn't scratch anything below. Mike was able to set-up the machines and even make a fix to the leaky hose. I would definitely recommend this company and would choose them for any future move. The team of 3 (Shawn/Shawn & Sean) arrived on time and ready to work. We were moving furniture out to the garage for a floor replacement, so they were here twice, 30 days apart. I hired SC movers to help me move from my house to an apartment in January. They showed up on time with 2 guys, Jason & Sean. They were amazing! I could not believe how well they moved all of our furniture and boxes! They finished in the time they had quoted me and nothing was broken or damaged in the process. Originally, I was going to move a lot of my stuff that was left over into a storage unit two days later. But when I saw how much was left to move into storage , I went ahead and hired them to help me move the rest of it into the storage unit for me. So two days later Jason and Danny showed up to help move all of that for me. Again they did a great job! They showed up on time and the move took a bit longer than expected. This is partially because they had to park far at my new place unloading. This is partially my fault that I didn't ask a lot of questions when booking with them. I didn't know that they do not carry small items, such as a microwave, a printer, etc unless they are not packed in boxes. I'm used to have a mover carry everything, so this was new to me. They explained their policy and I understood, but I'd rather have a mover carry all my stuff. I could see they were trying their hardest, but things like taking apart and assembling my bed took more time than my previous movers. Yet, they were thorough, didn't lose or damage anything, and very professional. read more

These guys just finished moving our entire floor office for Camping World of Sacramento (that had not been disturbed over the past 25 years) and we could not be happier with the experience. They had to move 40 metal 5-drawer cabinets COMPLETELY FULL of files, 5 huge L desks, and an entire floor of shelving units up a steep flight of stairs and they made it all happen. Not to mention an assortment of office computers, copiers, and fax machines. They were so nice and professional throughout the entire process, it really made a difference. This is the second time we've hired this company, and I can't recommend them enough! When we first moved, they noticed a piece of my great grandmothers' rocking chair was coming loose, so they took the extra time to glue it and wrap it before the move so it would set when we got to our house. This kind of attention to detail was incredibly touching. Most recently, we were moving gym equipment from my parents house to ours, and the team worked out a way to pack it all up without taking any pieces apart. It went so fast I could hardly believe it! My movers were Sean and Danny. They arrived on time and were very quick and efficient. They went over all the paperwork with me before starting and were very communicative throughout. I really appreciated this as it made me feel connected to the process and that we weren't just working in silos (I was also packing up 2 cars with smaller items and uncovered boxes). They moved my whole home to the new location well within the projected timeline - which was really great given the inclement weather we were racing against (in between atmospheric storms & intense winds). They were also able to help me unload one of the cars, which was so helpful. I would definitely use these movers again in the future. These guys came so highly rated, I was actually a little nervous. People gotta complain about movers. I mean they drop stuff they scuff up doors. Well, not these guys. My parents were in a bind as another moving company started to harass them for FULL payment before a local move. My parents offered a deposit, but that wasn't good enough. I told them if this is how they treat you before even touching your stuff, you better believe they're going to be even nastier after the move. 1st company was cancelled and I immediately called SC movers based on Yelp reviews. Admittedly I was a bit nervous since I usually ask for friend recommendations, but I really didn't have that much time. I made the call on Saturday afternoon and confirmed a Tuesday am move. My guys were the triple Shaun team. Fast, careful and efficient. Their price is fair and their customer service is fantastic. I hope not to have to move again, but I'll be looking for them if I do. Other movers I had booked bailed on us the morning of our move and I called about a dozen movers looking for someone with same day availability. They were one of the only companies to answer the phone as early as I called and were the most responsive; confirming they could do the job before anyone else. If that wasn't enough, they were also the fastest movers I've had, nearly twice as fast as my last mine. They were well equipped, cautious with fragile items and nothing was damaged. Oh my, this moving company is a treasure! Shawn, Anthony, and Robert arrived 15 minutes early (perfect), and quickly got to work. We had two households being moved (2000sqft + 400sqft + garage), and they had everything loaded, transported, unloaded and furniture put together in 6 hours. Best movers I've ever used. Josh, Dallas, and Brian were smart and careful above and beyond. Very conscientiously placed items with forethought and got my input whenever in doubt. Very patient and kind when I changed my mind about some item locations, and considerate towards my family's accessibility needs. The receptionist who scheduled us should get a medal for her patience and flexibility when I had to change our dates several times. We hired SC MOVERS to come pick up our 4 Bd Rm home on 11/05/2020. I had scheduled the date with Rachel a week before... so right up front I was very impressed and appreciated of the short time frame they were able to accommodate. Rachel, was spot on and called the day before like she said to confirm the date. We had the (3) Shawn Crew, let me just say these guys are Bad A$$! Shawn (Owner) took Lead control and was a true "Puzzle Master!" They all worked very hard and NEVER once took a break "impressive!" I did my very best to make sure it was as easy and smooth as possible by having everything ready and all items boxed and bigger items shrink wrapped. It was a FULL to the end of a 26ft truck. The whole thing took from loading and taking it to storage and unloading and going to the 2nd floor of a storage a constant "up and down" with the elevator...4.5 hrs so IMPRESSED!! This whole thing was so stress free and smooth. Shawn (Owner) even stacked and mastered loading up our 10' X 20' ft storage unit with room to spare...I'm giving SC MOVERS (5) STARS and I want to thank Rachel and The (3) Shawn Crew for all their help and professionalism with everything. Reasonable rates and quick availability. Courteous movers. I'd recommend watching carefully how lighter colored furniture pieces are wrapped as there was an incident with dark marks on a chair. However, thankfully, management tried to get the stains out. I think more pieces could have been added to the truck. They also seemed to have some trouble with their engine and took time fiddling with it so I was surprised they added more time on the clock. Movers are also licensed. Other than that, I was generally pleased with the move. I would definitely recommend them. Scrutinize the move a little closely. read more

I called 5 different moving companies. Two Men and a Truck was $450 an hour for 5 guys and it would have run me near $3K (way overkill). The others were more moderately priced, but either didn't pick up the phone, seemed bothered to be asked for pricing, or didn't sound confident in the quote (one said only quote generators can answer that question). SC had the best receptionist with great service, and sounded confident and professional. It was only $140/hr. (which felt like a steal) for two guys to move. Shawn and Sean were super personable and moved with a purpose, and packed the truck to the brim. They were open with coordinating how to pack everything into our storage unit and did so exactly how I'd hoped. It was completed within the time expected, all with care, no dings, and I'll use them again when we move from storage to a home. read more

Big shout out to SC Movers for moving the stuff I had in storage from Sacramento to Marysville on 2/24/22, which, among other things, included a universal gymset, a few hundred pounds worth of plates and dumbbells, elliptical, treadmill and bike to go with all the usual household stuff, and they not only handled it all with great professional skill and patience, but even made an unscheduled stop to unload the gymset at my house when I saw what it took to move it from one storage space to another and I really thought Jason and Smitty did a really great job and I would recommend them both highly to anyone who needs a move done with care and speed. read more

Very satisfied customer here. SC Movers, Dwayne and Jason were fantastic. This was the most professional, safe, and efficient move I've experienced so far. They were quick, careful, knowledgeable. Their moving truck came with all kinds of padding, packing, and securement supplies, if needed. Even the dollies were padded. They had the skills and tools to disassemble and reassemble my complicated bed frame. The office was responsive and very informative. I received a confirmation phone call the day before, and movers showed right on time. Do your self a favor and hire them.
