Service was awesome. Very helpful, answered all my questions. Called after one week to see if everything was okay.

Let's just say that I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They start you off with a reasonable move-in rate but then raise it each month. My rate doubled in less than a year. The gate wouldn't open half the time when you us the app, no one is in the office to help, but boy they were extra efficient when it came time to collect their rent. Never again. read more

The access code doesn't work and they had the nerve to raise the rent standing out here in 90° weather. Nobody answering the phone

beware of hidden fees! was not aware that they could change your prices whenever they feel like it's time. Before signing anything and getting my storage, I asked if there would be any changes on my pricing and they have gone up $25. So be very careful and ask about their fees and how long they'll stay with the offer that they're giving you. read more

While the $1 starting price is enticing and the airconditioned units are appealing, this facility does leave a lot to be desired. The first issue is the limited number of carts to help move your items. They have no more than three available, and these are often in use by one person or simply missing. Additionally, if you are looking to use this facility for long term use, beware they increase your rent with little notification by $50 or more approximately every 6 months. We moved in with a rate of $153 plus insurance and left the unit about a year later paying over $300. read more

I was helping a friend that was in the middle of loosing housing and Chanel was awesome. She helped me find the proper size and had great monthly options to help my friend out. Can't say enough about this place and service read more

Rented here and unit was broken into and robbed. So was moved to another unit. The price was already over advertised prices. And got hit with a rent increase. Asked to have brought down and they did for three months. Then it was going back up. Called and talked to Aaron about lowering rate back. And was told no simple. All it does is make me move to another place. Thanks. read more

This business does sneaky tricks to scam you out of your money. I rented the unit at a discount price, and they randomly raised the price without consulting me. I called and asked how my total cost increased from $50 to $80 a month for a little 5 x 5 spot, and they said I received an email with the raised price. I tried to find this email, but I could not. They send tons of emails so that they can raise your rates without you noticing! I spent months being overcharged and probably lost $150 when I could have been storing my items at a cheaper place if I new the rent increased. I at least wanted to take my stuff out and get my money back for this upcoming month, but they refused even though I never consented to this increased price. Ridiculous. read more

Amber, she was really professional to help me to transfer to a different store! Amazing customer service

Amber & Aaron were amazing with their customer service skills! The place is clean and organized. Love the set up. I feel safe going at night as well. Whenever there is a concern or an issue, they take care of it. Today, AMBER handled a concern I had regarding my account immediately. Her care and concern &went above and beyond. Love my Public Storage. read more

They had great customer service when I got the unit but added the insurance to my account behind my back when I specifically said that wasn't necessary and to not add it (extra $15 a month) I had no idea they did this until I was 3 months in. It's not the end of the world but very frustrating to lose that $45 without knowing. read more

The price constantly keeps going up for no reason. It has increased from 290 a month to 463 in just a few years. It is ridiculous. Pure greed. read more

I just got a unit at the Murrieta location and Kiara was really helpful , she had great customer service and was quick to answer all of my questions, with a smile on her face. I recommend anyone getting a unit to ask for "Kiara". read more

Management for Whitewood location took over a month to get back to me regarding a billing issue. Chanel, Kiara, and District Supervisor Anthony were all NO help at all. Every time someone informed me of something, it was never documented. Therefore, I had to keep replaying the entire situation over and over, and because there were no proper notes taken, nobody knew what the hell was going on. The last time I spoke to Anthony, I literally had a panic attack on the phone, and I had to hang up. No joke. Not to mention, more fees had been added since that particular call. I was told one thing by one person on company chat and did just that, then punished more so for doing just that. So unethical and bad business standards from the beginning. No business should ever get to this point, period!!! This is a TERRIBLE one-star business at the most, with terrible customer service 99.99999% of the time. If you want a storage unit, think twice. Don't say I didn't warn you. I literally can not handle and have no patience for such simpletons, and will hopefully be moving companies soon. Oh, and I dare you to add more fees after this yelp review of your company's inability to appreciate their customers. You're that shady read more

Easy access. Secure. Clean. Helpful staff. Nice location in Murrieta. I'm using both climate controlled and drive-up units. Nice to have both options. read more

I had a 5x10 unit with Public Storage for nearly 2 years, during which my rate nearly doubled from their advertised rate of 78/month. When asked why my rate had been raised so much, they claimed that the price on the website was "for new customers only", which is not stated anywhere on the website. On top of that, their customer service is terrible. Save your money and go somewhere else, this place is run by people that do not value their customers. read more

This location is clean and well supervised. Kiara is so so sweet and on top of things. Always making sure that my needs are met. Thank You so much. read more

Public storage in Murrieta is conveniently located and run by a very helpful staff. Their units are climate controlled and well lit. Nothing bad to say. Oh and their prices are competitive. read more

This is a 24 hour access big box storage facility. So keep that in mind, I don't feel they keep the facility up like the smaller independents do. I've noticed a couple reviews where people have had their trailers broken in to. I've also noticed a lot of trash build up in the outside storage area...neglect and lack of management keeping up the maitenance. There are very few 110v outlets around the facility. Those can be very handy for say hooking up a vacuum to clean your vehicle, hook up a light or just a need for power. This is an okay storage facility but they have areas for improvement that I've mentioned. I park my personal car there from time to time and have not had any issues. read more

Public Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Murrieta, California

Terrible customer service. Sales representative did not want to help veteran obtain a discount rate by referring me to the website to make reservation for storage which would have saved me some money. He was rude and wanted to quickly get off the phone. I decided to leave after one week with this facility. I would NOT recommend Public Storage based on the customer service I received. read more

We were on a search today to find indoor storage for our boat. After going to multiple storage places and being unsuccessful (even after calling first) we were extremely frustrated. We finally called Public Storage in Murrieta. Having to talk to the call center first was tge only bad part. They connected us to Amber. My husband told her what we were looking for she took his number to call us right back because she was going out to measured for us. She called back and they had the height that we needed. Once we got there Amber showed us the unit. It waa tall enough, but we were unable to back the boat up do to where it was located. She had another one available that she thought might work. Unfortunately it wasn't wide enough. We finally just decided on an outdoor spot because the property was very clean and seemed pretty secure. Amber's customer service was incredible. She walked all over for us trying to find something in the 90 degree weather. We were tired and frustrated and her friendly attitude and customer service kept everything calm. Had it not been for her help and attitude we probably would have left. read more

Surprised and Disappointed. I had reserved a 10 x 20 unit online. I planned to complete the paperwork after seeing the unit. It would be a 3rd floor location (no problem). Each occupant has limited access to their assigned building only (nice safety consideration) and they have an online app. Things were looking promising but then the Red Flags began presenting themselves. As we approached the loading area/elevators to the proposed assigned building, there was an older gentleman park in front, outside the loading area, who asked Aaron if he was still looking for a cart for him. The man reminded Aaron that the last time he had waited 2 hours to get a cart. There were No carts in the lobby at the time (granted it was 1pm on a Monday after a major holiday), No Carts... that's a problem! Clearly the sign says that carts are provided as a Courtesy. Aaron stated it's recommended you bring your own cart. (Sigh). I have used Public Storage for years in Orange County and I never had an issue finding an available cart. According to other reviews for this specific location apparently that's an ongoing problem). Red Flag # 2 - Approaching the 3rd floor unit there was a large area of water on the ground in front of a unit (about 3 spaces over). Either the occupant of the unit was storing something that leaked or due to the recent heavy rains there was leaking from the roof (3rd floor is top floor). Aaron's response to that observation was that he "would need to get a mop and mop that up". How about you look into the cause and report to corporate before damage occurs to the units below/near the water leak. Needless to say, I'm glad I was able to reserve and lock in a unit rate online in advance but that I didn't complete the full online application without first seeing the unit. I did not go forward and rent a unit as these Red Flags were enough for me to think twice! Sorry Pubic Storage I could only give 2 stars for this location. Could be a nice facility if they deal with the Red Flags (Provide carts (install locking mechanism if necessary to prevent theft) and identify cause of water leak (inspect and repair the roof). Pooling water of any kind at a storage facility should be taken seriously. read more

I called today and Monica was the most rude, nasty and disgusting employee I've ever came in contact with. My partner and I initially chose this storage unit because of the first month free (although it does come out to ~$50 after the lock charge + fees FYI). But we were really impressed by Lulu's customer service. The front office female employee is definitely A1 when it comes to the customer experience, she gave up her lunch break to take care of my check -in and didn't rush and was very thorough. I have had storage units at 3 other locations. Monica was so helpful. I am computer savvy but made an oops renting online. I went to Monica the next day and she "magically" fixed my problem. I think many places are short-staffed and Public Storage might be. But the service they provide makes it seems like they has plenty of staff. Arron the manager helped me get into my unit. If I did not plan to move soon I would move some things that I have at another facility to this one. I obtained that unit before I knew about Public Storage. I am on the second floor which I thought would be awful. It is not. I can use a dolly for no added charge and the security is awesome. A code to get into the storage area, a code to getting into the lobby and a code to get into the elevator. My code does not allow me access to other floors. It might seem like a lot but it is seamless. And affordable. I feel like I can have access anytime they are open. The other facility has a zig-zag ramp which is difficult to navigate. I wish I would have rented with Public Storage with Monica and Aaron before today. I am grateful for their perfect customer service. read more

I should of paid attention to prior reviews and regretting it now. THE PRICE IS ONLY LOW TO GET YOU IN. Within months of moving in, you will receive an email of a $30+ increase. I chose the most undesirable unit in hopes of the cheapest rate. Now I'm paying almost exactly what I was at my other storage facility with a terribly located unit and facility that constantly raises rates. Do not do it you guys. Read the other reviews. read more

This was my first time ever renting a storage unit (and it wasn't for me it was to help my daughter store items) and I was given such amazing customer service at my Murrieta Public Storage off Los Alamos Road. Monica was very helpful in guiding me with a suitable size for the amount of things that need to be stored away. I was able to get a really good deal for my unit with plenty of room to move things around. Her attentiveness to my needs are much appreciated... I felt like I was making such an important decision, while tired and not rested, yet she made it so easy for me get what I needed and quickly be on my way without delay. Monica's personality and customer service are the work ethic many other places lack, I appreciate people like her! read more

The staff was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. The manager(owner?) of the property called us back within the hour of leaving a message and answered all of our questions. He was very friendly. When we were getting our storage unit, Monica and Loulou, (front desk women) helped us every step of the way. The units are clean, dry, and look brand new. They have a gated security system and the temperature control building only allows you to access the floor your locker is on. They even have an app you can use for the doors. I feel very safe leaving my items here. read more

Lou Lou and Aaron were very helpful with assisting me with my move in. Would recommend 10/10 and a great rate at that!

Horrible customer service particularly by Renee. Had the doors locked and came to the door and just said "yeah". what kind of greeting is that and why do you have the office door locked. She said I am really busy I am the only one hear and I have a customer and I need to go get lunch. Not my problem you are there to take care of customers and need to talk to your manager for help. Right there and then I made up my mind packing up my items and taking my business elsewhere. So disappointed at the service and like many others have complained been there a year and have risen rent already 2 times. Beware the price doesn't stay of what you signed up for but a few months and then they keep raising it. read more
