After doing a lot of research I found that cube storage not only had the best deals but exceptional customer service. Ruthie was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The storage space was very clean and the grounds are well maintained. read more

Cubesmart in Murrieta off of Monroe st. Do not rent a space from them. They will increase your rent ever 6 month by alot. They are never in the office, if you call they do not call back. This is a horrible place to rent from. read more

They don't even notify you if there are break ins or the gate is broken for months on end. Yet after years of being a customer and being bent over by the constant rent increases, I was paying $300 for a unit that would have been $125 for a new customer. I stayed after hours one time while downsizing to a smaller unit, and got stuck on the property. The after hours emergency number goes straight to voicemail and the gate doesn't let you out. That's false imprisonment! Then I got a termination notice. OK, fair enough, but they wanted me to be gone two days later even though I prepaid two months. No, I am not taking a day off work because you think your storage business is an emergency in my life. I contacted corporate and will post again if I get a fair resolution. I'm willing to move if they want me out, I just need a reasonable time to handle it. read more

I had 3 units at the Murrieta cube smart, all of my units had double locks for years. One day I came in and on all 3 units the 2nd lock were gone. I inspected the units and things were moved around. I informed the office and they assured me no one in their office had removed the locks and that they did not have a master key. Which was all BS. DO NOT get a storage unit with these people, they will go through your stuff. read more

We made the mistake of moving into the WRONG space... the OWNER VERY VERY UNREASONABLE.. since we moved into the WRONG space wanted us to pay an additional 300.00 a month for NOW "premium" space we occupied. what makes this space "premium?" You ask... well it's kinda a straight shot to pull up to the space...and has a slight asphalt lip... to the front ... we were given 24 hours to pay the difference or move to our original space... the owner has no heart and would NOT make an exception for this mistake... either put up or SHIT UP... this is one sad state of affairs that such a simple change can be made but because the OLD MIGHTY DOLLAR.. would not allow this soulless man make an exception.. read more

had a unit here, felt that my property would be safe since it's close to my house and the fact that the camera is located in a position where it is basically pointing at the area where my unit was located, basically pointed at the unit, there is only my car and my dads car and my sisters that go to the unit and we lock up every time we leave, and someone decided to break in since we had are own lock on the door and stole a 5000 dollars of my stuff, not only did it happen but after it happen we made a police report first and then a report with this place and I felt like they didn't care and was not even willing to help,it seemed that they didnt like the fact that we made a police report first and I am shocked that even though there are cameras and that it's in the area where you can see who is going in and out of my unit yet only thing that's was done was not helpful ,my suggestion to anyone that decides to store anything that you want to keep safe,is find another place or get insurance that will cover everything which costs extra and get your own monitor system for your unit,I lost about five thousand dollars in stuff but I lost stuff my grandpa that's has pasted gave me along with stuff good friends that died gave me,I can't replace those, and to store something safe I just gunna keep it at my house from now on,when talking to staff there was no empathy or wanting to find out who did this which there explanation who suggests to look at the cameras and see who walked up to my unit or if someone jumped one of there gates or came in that would be seen on the camera or that they would have something to show which unit they went to next,I mean seeing how you would have to walk up to the units door or drive up to do anything ,like open the door or check the lock would be seen on the dvr pointing in the area, very disappointing, and now I have to wait for the people that did the crime get caught.....something's can't be replaced, read more

The new manager at the California Oaks location was very polite and there when I was in a pinch and needed his assistance.

A quick follow-up. We moved out on 12/20, and all went well. Thanks to our wonderful friends who jumped in to help us. We rented a U-Haul and U-Haul storage unit and got all our stuff moved in about 2 hours. The U-Haul bill was a whopping $39, and our new rate for a unit of almost identical size is $98 per month. This is an annual savings of $1,368, including the moving costs, and U-Haul gave us a free lock (now we have an extra lock). Before you rent here, look around like I should have, it will save you a headache later. I would NOT recommend this CubeSmart location. PS. The attendant at CubeSmart the night we moved out was very nice. That's the ONLY positive for this CubeSMart location! read more

My storage unit door jammed from my own misplacement of stuff inside. The new on-site manager Nick went above and beyond to help me, even when he was really busy with other customers. Impressive service. read more

CubeSmart Self Storage in Murrieta raised my rate on my unit every six to eight months. CubeSmart would not take my renters insurance I had to purchase their insurance. The new storage facility took my renters insurance. After my last rate increase from $135 to $151 for a 5x10x10 I could not afford to stay any longer and found a storage unit for much cheaper. Also, I moved on the 7th of the month and was paid through the 17th of the month and CubeSmart would not prorate the money back to me. What a scam. So CubeSmart can rent my unit with a new tenant and now they are doubling their money for the rest of the month. Nice CubeSmart. In my opinion DO NOT rent a storage space from CubeSmart. read more

I don't know why I can't review for the Monroe, Murrieta location, but since it's the same manager for both, this will do. I rented a large storage unit to store product for my business. I visited a few times a week to pick up inventory and put new inventory away. The longest I ever spent there was around two hours. Not unreasonable. Then I get a text message from the manager saying that I'm spending to much time there and that I'm breaking the terms of my contract. I had to ask TWICE, how long would be reasonable. I was told 15 minutes. That is absolutely ridiculous. I was paying almost $300 a month to only be able to access my unit for 15 minutes. Needless to say, I didn't stay. Overall, Horrible management. Communication skills could use work. And pricy considering they pull you in with a lower price and raise the rent 2 months in. I couldn't recommend this place less. read more

We went to our space today to get out our Halloween decorations. We rent a climate controlled unit. When we got there, we saw that the door was being held open by bungy cords. I asked the manager what was going on. She told me that the AC was out, and she was trying to make the units cooler by keeping the door open. I asked her why was I being charged for a climate controlled unit, but the AC is not functioning. I asked her when it was being repaired. She didn't know. I asked her how long the AC was out, she said "A few weeks". I asked her why they didn't notify the customers. She said she was told not to. I explained to her that it was fraudulent to charge people for AC when there is no AC. She stated I would have to contact the district manager. She could not refund me the difference. This is absurd. I took pictures of the AC unit, looks like it's been broken for awhile. I decided I shouldn't have to run around chasing after a refund. I decided to sue them instead, and I'm also reporting them to the better business bureau. This is ridiculous. read more

The Cubesmart in San Bernardino on baseline Let me and at least 8 others be ripped off I lost all my guitar and jewelry They didn't even tell us We think the former asst manager did it They have cameras but have done nothing The police don't care either Never use these people Cubesmart did not even have anyone in store If I am lucky I might get $1,000 in a few yrs Unless you have old junk Do Not ever use this place And on top They charge me another $233.00 Took a week of calling 10 times a day to talk to someone billing me for the old storage unit again $465.00 And I was so mad I said I could kill that asst manager who stole All my vintage guitars and jewelry Some guy calls me and was going to have me arrested for terrorist threats And I will get a response back saying how sorry they are And to send them my info Why don't they go after the employee Asst Manager who stole from me and at least 8 others No apology but they couldn't send a notice that they had nobody watching the place all they did was send me a notice that was a week late saying they were going to replace my door I literally am in shock from all of this because I've lost so much money at least $35,000 worth of jewelry and vintage electric guitars and I'm supposed to do all the legwork read more

I love how clean this facility is. The office staff is always professional and friendly.

The costumer service at cubesmart murrieta is really bad. They are not there to help make things easier. I have been a customer for several years and moved out of town. The managers there made paying for my storage unit very difficult. Ive spent more than $10k on unit costs over the last three years yet they wont make paying fees accommodating. A General Manager at the cubesmart in Las Vegas didnt understand why cubesmart Murrieta wouldnt take my payment over the phone. There are too many options to store your stuff to put up with Cubesmart Murrieta. read more

My husband and I started using self storage here about five months ago. They were extremely helpful in finding us a great unit at a very good price. There in and out privileges are wonderful and hours are fabulous! I even locked myself out of the unit the first time by forgetting the keys all the way in San Diego and they were kind enough to cut the lock and issue me a new one. Their customer service is phenomenal! read more

I heard great things about this storage company and it was near my current location with move-in specials so I went for it without searching any other companies, which probably was my first mistake. I went in to look at the storage units and decided on one of the sizes with the free month special and Candace was very nice and welcoming. Very accommodating to my needs and my situation. But I had to go back the next day and switch to a bigger storage bc I had more stuff than estimated. The demeanor in Candace's customer service compared to the day before was a total 180, she was very opposite and standoffish from when I initially met her. I ended up having to just get whole different storage bc they didn't have the biggest size available. And the bigger unit I got in addition to the one I already had didn't have any specials on it whatsoever. How does that make sense? So now I am paying almost $300 for 2 storages a month. Would not recommend this location in my opinion. Customer service alone was the thing here that really affected my experience with Cubesmart. read more

This is my second time having a storage at CubeSmart and both experiences have been excellent. Denise and Lisa were friendly, professional, and informative and provided the most pleasant customer service experience. Moving is stressful and they definitely made the process a little less painful, even when we underestimated how much stuff we had in our house and had to rent a second storage unit. read more

If l could recommend a storage place, CubeSmart would be the only place I would tell you to go. Denise, the manager at the Cal Oaks CubeSmart, was awesome. She was very personable and helped me out so much I couldn't thank her enough. The storage unit itself was very clean and easily accessible. The opening hours for the office and the storage place itself are wonderful and access to and from is very easy. Great location just off the main street and just an all round fantastic experience. Thank you so much Denise you are wonderful! read more
