Not a fan. Staff lacks people skills and could use some customer service training. Policy is to pro-rate first month of storage rent but charge for full month when moving out regardless of when in the month you move out. Storage units are designed to less than full size capacity and lack any ventilation or cooling system. read more

While the location seemed nice and was conveniently close to me; the customer needs improvement. I scheduled a uhual online and while that process was easy via the uhual portal the customer care at this location lacks. I called to motility my reservation times and add a dolly and the person that took my call was rude and acted like it was an inconvenience to call. I also understood that the location office was closed on my pick up day & although the employee reminded me of this he provided no information on how the pick up process would go. Upon arrival I proceeded with having to call uhual for the steps. Then the truck I was supposed to get had a jammed lock so I couldn't get my key. The uhual rep had to change my truck which resulted in me not getting a dolly. This process delayed me one hour for an emergency move. Don't recommend this service from this location as a result. read more

Great place to store items you only use occasionally. We have a 10x10 and have utilized almost the entire space. Great customer service and open when it's convenient for me. Gate code is kinda funky, but the gentleman in the front office was super helpful and now I have no problem with it. I would highly recommend this business. They also do UHaul too. read more

If you are dropping off a U-Haul after hours, call ahead of time to get access to the gate, and there is a key drop-off near the front door. If you decide to rent here, ask for your free disc lock the day you move in! I don't want to spend any more time or energy on this business, but one last time to hopefully save someone the trouble in the future. I recently reserved and paid for a unit online. On the website they promised contactless move in and a free disc lock. Anyway lots of issues with the online reservation and I had to spend a lot of time on the phone and still go inside the office. While there I was asked if I wanted to get a lock. I thought they were selling me the lock and I said I had one. Turns out my lock was too small, so next time I came in I asked if I could still get the free disc lock they promised online. The man in the office said I can't get it anymore because I opted out when I moved in. I told him it didn't seem like the lock was a freebie and that it feels like bait and switch as I walked away. To which he said ok, here you can get it. I said I'll take it if he's OK with it. But he said no, it wasn't really OK. Whut?? It may seem petty but it seems uncalled for. If they're promising something then they should happily give it, why all the rudeness and making it seem like an unreasonable request? It also seems weird that they'd risk the customer experience for something that must cost them $3-5. The little freebie could've made a big difference between their business and the chain places that push hard to sell the locks. Instead that interaction just makes me not want to do business here anymore. I'm paid for the month and it is a hassle to move so I might be stuck for the short term. But if you are just moving in then maybe see if there are other options for you and reconsider. read more

My mom has 2 storage units here, both of which are infested with mice and management won't do anything about it other than putting out mouse traps that accomplishes nothing. SOO much of her belongings have been destroyed from the chewing. The reason I'm writing this review today is because while the staff at this location sounds like they care about their customers, their actions demonstrate the complete opposite. I live in LA while my mom lives closer to her storage unit. Mom asked me to drive out there to help get something out of storage and do some minor rearranging, but she couldn't get the lock open due to corrosion. We called the office to notify them we'll be there in about 20 minutes, which was about 15 minutes or so before they closed for the day. The girls working that evening knew I spent 2.5 hours on the freeway to get out to that area from LA and that my mom needed them to cut the lock off to open the unit, so they knew we were coming. On the drive there, police closed an intersection from an accident which caused major traffic and caused us to arrive just before closing time. We called the office at 5:55 (5mins before they close) to ask if they would please remain open, as we needed them to cut the lock off. No one answered and the call was routed to the Murrieta office where I reached Nick. Nick tried calling the Menifee office to no avail. He looked at their security cameras and found the office was dark and locked before closing time even though they KNEW we were coming from LA! Nothing says "we don't care about our customers" like closing before closing time while knowing I had driven all the way out there from LA. That is UNREASONABLY INCONSIDERATE and down-right disrespectful. Nick from the Murrieta office however demonstrated the complete opposite. I could hear in his voice that he really cared and even offered to drive out to menifee from Marietta even after closing just to help us out. These are the kind of things I do for my clients all the time and Nick demonstrated compassion and care beyond expectation. Thank you Nick for making up for where the careless and inconsiderate girls at the Menifee office lacked. read more

Unfortunate that we can't get consistent hours for this location. Yelp says it closes at 5pm during the week Google search says 5pm during the week But the businesses doors say 4pm. My wife called to talk to an employee today at 1130am asking about reserving a truck. She was told that a manager would call her back with pricing and availability. As of 430pm, we had not received a call back and we happened to be in the area of the location, but find it to be closed as of 4pm. Kind of a bummer, hope they can update their online presence so this doesn't happen to someone else read more

Have been with them for years because of the convenience. The managers, husband and wife, are pleasant and helpful. The younger guys who work there are also nice to work with. But.... Cost goes up often which I guess is unavoidable. We've now recently twice dealt with a younger woman, blonde, maybe in her 20's. She's rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful. If you want the best service I would go to Holland location in Sun City and ask for Nick. After ridiculous poor service and attitude at Menifee Holland location on Saturday, Nick at sun city saved our day. After placing a reservation on line for a trailer and purchase of a hitch receiver and ball we showed at our reservation Menifee/ Holland said we were out of luck with receiver even though we confirmed one on line. Then proceeded to tell us we had 15 min to find one our reservation would be begin. No choice but cancel and basically the gentleman said bye bye with no care. Totally disappointed and frustrated by the attitude. Things happen but this young man could careless about our day and our rental. Called Nick at Sun city location. He gave us advice how to get a receiver quickly and found a trailer for us to rent. He spent a great amount of time to make sure we were good. Thanks Nick!!! read more

This and all the other U-Haul have large signs on the trucks that say trucks for rent $19.95 for the first 4 hours when it's actual total BS. The minimum is $61.30 every time. Rented these trucks a few times now, what a scam. read more

If I could give this storage negative stars, I would. The manager Jen and Tony jerked my boyfriend around for months, starting with a flood that occurred that they did not notify us about in which it ruined over half of our things in our unit. They moved our stuff to another unit days after the flood, so our stuff was sitting in water for days, they went into our unit without asking and moved our stuff. They did not tell us so when we went to open our unit we couldn't. We went to the office and they very rudely said that they had to move our stuff because there was a flood...five days ago. My boyfriend tried to ask them why they didn't contact us and why they went into our unit without permission and they gave him attitude and said, "would you prefer your things to sit in water?" We went to our new unit and opened it and found out things tossed about and disorganized. It looked like they just literally threw everything in there. Things are broken and even more damaged. The worse service I've ever encountered at a storage location, rude, attitude-filled employees. We closed our unit recently and they tacked on an extra $350 and said we have to pay it all in one payment- $489 total- to get our things out and close the unit. We tried to fight it and no luck. We paid and got our things out. Do not rent a unit from this location. read more

We rented a U-Haul trailer from here back on 11/3/18. A member of the staff hooked up the trailer(I have a bad back and my wife has a heart condition) and I asked the person who attached the trailer if if was secure enough and they assured me that it was. 40 miles later, in Banning, the trailer came off the hitch. I was fortunate enough to get the truck I was driving to the freeway shoulder safely and waited for U-Haul to remove the trailer from the freeway. U-Haul refused to remove the trailer from the freeway, and said it was the rental facility's' responsibility! Fortunately, I called the CHP and they removed the trailer before someone got hurt. After submitting a claim for the damage to the vehicle, UHAUL DENIED THE CLAIM SAYING IT WAS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE THE TRAILER WAS HOOKED UP "correctly" They accused us of removing the trailer and then re-attaching it later! We left the facility at 9:30am and got directly on the freeway. It is not physically possible for me or my wife to remove the trailer. I strongly recommend you take a video of the staff hooking up your trailer just in case this happens to you! I had to give it 1 star(because I had to-it won't let you post 0 stars) I would recommend using a different rental place as they did not take responsibility for their mistake, and now WE have to pay for the damage! They even charged us $40.00 for the trailer! GOOD LUCK TO YOU GETTING ANY HELP FROM UHAUL! read more
