The person working here the day I came was a joke and should 100% not be working there. My uhaul broke down the day before, waited 5hrs for a tow. Uhaul said to come here for a replacement. Gave me an equipment number and everything. When i showed up, even though they had the truck, the clerk said he didn't know how to give me the replacement. Said i had to buy a NEW uhaul and ask for a refund for the previous one. What?? When i voiced my displeasure with having to do that, he asked i leave the property. We all know that means police will be called if non-compliant. So after all of what i had to go through, they add this on top. Note this is NOT my first rodeo with this location either. Avoid this place for storage or uhaul. Incompetent, inefficient, and untrustworthy. read more

Great prices, there is a person that lives on premises for extra safety!

I tried reserving a truck online, it wouldn't let me reserve a truck. I called the location, it kicked me to a general number and the reps phone didn't work so it dropped the call and she never called back. So, I went in to the Stax up location in person, they said they were having trouble with the system as well so I needed to to another site miles away (I know u-haul charges per mile!). I also tried checking-in on yelp to get a free box because there was a sign on the stax up wall and the rep gave me static because he thought it was a u-hual deal not a stax-up deal. He later apologized and said no one has ever checked- in before to redeem that deal. I made sure to pre-register to speed the mobile check-in process. When I get there in morning, it still took about 30 mins to re-register and for everything to be verified. The truck was damaged all over, filthy inside and out, and barely had any gas! I have used u-haul many, many times before and this was by far the worst experience. I am very disappointed. read more

If you want the best service I would go to Holland location in Sun City and ask for Nick. After ridiculous poor service and attitude at Menifee Holland location on Saturday, Nick at sun city saved our day. After placing a reservation on line for a trailer and purchase of a hitch receiver and ball we showed at our reservation Menifee/ Holland said we were out of luck with receiver even though we confirmed one on line. Then proceeded to tell us we had 15 min to find one our reservation would be begin. No choice but cancel and basically the gentleman said bye bye with no care. Totally disappointed and frustrated by the attitude. Things happen but this young man could careless about our day and our rental. Called Nick he gave us advice how to get a receiver quickly and found a trailer for us to rent. He spent a great amount of time to make sure we were good. Thanks Nick!!! read more

I wish there was a 0 star, to anyone looking for a storage place, let me warn you.... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! We had our trailer, stolen on the 23 of this month (December) but didn't get notified till the 26th, apparently about 3 trailers got stolen that day... in plain daylight.... with no one hearing a thing, ok, but yet you need a code to get in.... so they say they have the best cameras, but cant show me the surveillance until they request the videos.... ummm seriously?!!! They still had de audacity to say that they think it was an inside job.. of-course it was!!!! You don't have someone steal 3 trailers, with chains and locks... in one day and not see or hear a thing, don't you guys supposedly do a daily walk to check spaces?? Its ridiculous! I wish i had read the reviews of the other people, who coincidentally had the exact same problem.... Stolen stuff, and the cameras didn't catch a thing... Shame in this place!! Once again, if you're thinking about renting a space here.... DONT DO IT!!!! This from a victim! Save your stuff somewhere else!!!! read more

I've been here 3x in the past week because it's close to my house and I am moving. Twice the front door was locked while an associate was inside. The packing products are inflated in price. The wait to actually check out was excessive all 3 times. This location needs another sales associate. In the time that I sat and waited to check out, I could have gone to uhaul up the street and bought my items for less and been home quicker. A self checkout here might be a good idea. About a month ago they had a break in. Ok crap happens. But it was the fact that they did not really care. We had 1,000 of damage done to our truck. A few other people had their trailers broken into and things taken. I asked if they would at least not charge us rent for the month since they were not able to safely store our stuff. The said no we are not responsible. I was not asking them to pay my $1,000 deductible just not charge me rent for that month. I let that one slide and forget about it. About a week ago someone broke in again. This time they did damage to several trailers and they stole a gas tank off my trailer. This took tools and some time to do it. Not just a smash and grab thing. I asked to see the video and they said they could not show it to me and that the damage was done where the cameras were not able to see.... Hummmmm I said sounds like an inside job then. Because they hit several units and never got picked up by the camera.... Interesting. So when you visit this place to rent a space or unit they will advertise that they have cameras but from my experience they do not help keep your stuff safe. Several of us moved out last month so I bet they are offering great deals to fill all the spaces that have been left by customers like me. Also I was renting 3 spots and a storage unit. We had our trailer broken into on Christmas Eve at 2 am... we were not notified until 3 pm.. us along with 20 other trailers/motorhomes. Against our better judgment and mostly because of convenience we continued to store our trailer there. And today we arrive (2/14) to find our batteries stolen. This place literally sucks. Do not store anything you value here. And the gates are always having problems. Spend a little more $$ for a "safer" storage! read more

I went in yesterday to pick up a U-Haul rental I had reserved yesterday and not only was my rental unavailable but the dolly I had asked for was also unavailable. I know things happen so I'm patiently waiting as it took the Him 4 truck rental attempts and 3 calls to U-Haul to finally rent me a truck. Later in the evening I noticed I had been charged double so I called the store to let them know if the issue. The guy who answered happened to be the one who rented me the truck of course I didn't know that at the time, so I'm explaining what had happened earlier hoping to shine some light to figure out how I got charged double. The man didn't even let me speak and said " You know ma'am I'm the one who helped you this morning I don't know why it charged you again when you return the truck it should work it self out. I was here I know what happened if you want to vent call U-Haul and hug up on me. He was rude had an attitude with me because a mistake on either the system or him. Don't be mad at me because you hate your job. People like Him with that attitude shouldn't work in customer service because they give the company a bad name and reputation. There are so many other people out there that can do an entry level job with a better attitude and a smile on there face!!!!! read more
