CON. Don't be fooled by the 1 cent special. This location admittedly is new, beautiful and huge! I was impressed when I got my unit, mind you, it wasn't the unit I originally reserved online. The unit they were advertising was the size of a mausoleum unit, and pretty much on the top level of a mausoleum also. I wasn't planning to store a coffin so I needed the next bigger size which is "on sale" but you have to sign up on that day! It was December, it was busy and I needed the space so I did sign up even though I didn't really need the unit for the next 15 days. I don't want to miss the one day sale! The "1 cent" pretty much dissipated quickly; after all the add-ins, super duper lock, insurance, tax, signing fee etc. The guy who signed me up could barely speak English and barely can explain and answer questions; he was nice though and wanted me to write a review of him, he's not there anymore (and so are many others). The first month experience was nice. The place was not that busy and since it's huge, you can barely see any other person inside the facility. The customer service in the office is a whole different story. I came in to pay my bill and the office was closed. It was opening hour, 8 am how the hell can you be close? And it is not about someone was late for work since the sign at the door says "We'll Be Back in 15 minutes." Finally the girl showed up, no apologies to the two of us customers waiting in front. She acted like it was just normal. I thought to myself, ok, everyone can have a bad day so I just let it pass. Then it happened again, it was a completely different girl and this time the wait was 30 minutes; and again, no apologies like it's your duty as a customer to wait for them. Now fast forward to six months, I just received notice that the rent for the unit is going up! SIX FRIGGING MONTHS and the rent is going up? I called the front office and the girl who answered the phone can't even get her story straight. One thing she said was, the price guarantee is only good for 4 months. Did I mention this place is nice, clean and beautiful (like all the other reviewers)? Fine and dandy, it you're moving and living in your storage unit. Well, to be honest, I have never met a group of workers who are ruder! I don't even go into the office anymore. I am sure I will be moving my things soon enough. They say that workers are the exact expression of how management is, if that is the case then leadership of public storage, would do well to have a sit-down with the managers of this facility and let them know that the difference between leaders and managers is very simple Leaders EMPOWER their people to make profits and keep customers happy whereas managers only manage budgets and the people underneath them. I have been a customer at numerous different public storage facilities in the past, and this by far is the absolute worst people I have ever dealt with. Again I sure it is a direct expression of the current facility management team. I will only give kudos on the appearance and cleanliness of the facility and parking as leadership designed that, not the local managers. I can't tell you how many times I have been told no to something versus yes. WHY are all the handicap / disabled storage lockers at the back of the facility. Total foolishness, what of the person with a prosthetic or in a wheelchair? How far should they have to go to put their belongings into a unit as it is way over a 50-yard walk to any storage handicap storage lockers? Total disrespect to those who are disabled. One last thing, if you do get a storage locker from them and you pay online, make sure to make sure that you are not being charged for two months in advance automatically. Wow! The team at this new Public Storage is fantastic--in particular Jillian. Driving down from Sacramento, I called ahead to confirm my reservation and spoke with Jillian. She was professional, courteous, and friendly even when it became clear that I had no idea what I was talking about. A few days earlier, I had made several reservations at different storage facilities in an attempt to locate the most economical and closest one to my son's university and had written confusing notes to myself. When I called, I gave Jillian the wrong account name and insisted that the storage facility was at a different address. Jillian calmly and with good humor sorted everything out, advised me of the sale at her facility, and offered to search for alternative Public Storage facilities that may be closer to the university. When we arrived, she and her team provided great advise and packing materials that made our move efficient and easy. The facility is brand new and access is a breeze. I highly recommend this Public Storage and the front office team! read more

Run, run far away from this place. They lure you with a $1 offer then next thing you know your rent goes up and keeps going up until my monthly payment for the past year has been over $400 and recently over $500! They lock you in with an alluring price and you hire movers, to get your stuff in the storage, then once you are settled in, they raise the monthly lease and you don't want to hire movers again and deal with the hassle so you have to keep paying the exorbitant increase. It's repugnant. The representatives are unprofessional and unqualified. You won't find any customer service once they you to move in. It's an abhorrent business model and should be reported to Better Business Bureau for knowingly defrauding customers. read more

Watch out for this shady place. They lured me with a competitive initial rent. Before I knew it, I was paying 400% more and Public Storage kept increasing my rent randomly. When I called to protest, they said they sent me a postcard informing me of the rent increases. Now I have to look for another storage unit because I can no longer afford the sky high rent at this scam of a business. It'll end up costing me more than if I had gone to another more reputable storage service. The staff is so unprofessional and rude too. They are only nice when you first call or walk in. Once they give you the keys, you will find the rudest people at customer service. read more

My stored items were damaged from rainstorms and because the leaks were along the back walls and ceiling, I didn't see until we started moving stuff around. This business model is unscrupulous as they lure you in with cheap offers, but months after, your rent starts going up and up and next thing you know, it's over $500! With such shameful tactics, they lock you in because it's such a hassle to hire movers again . Same goes for customer service. Once you move in, don't expect much of it. Eek! Methinks not. $1 move in special turned into roughly $43 including a lock I was required to buy. No where are these hidden fees and requirement(s) mentioned. After they show you the space, have consumed your time, the big bait and switch, then they mention the hidden fees. Don't forget the mandatory insurance, also, not mentioned anywhere. Starts at $11/month.. The manager, and general manager happen to be in the store, both unwilling to help. Seems insecure to me: the "ceilings" of the unit is flimsy wire cube. Let's face it: storing your things sucks, but this was the best experience I've had when doing so. I got a great price and it's a clean, cool, & comfortable unit.
