I can't even comprehend why a company would employ someone like that, who obviously has absolutely no customer service skills. He had once even told me that I had been renting there for a long time and should move out, as who rents storage for that long. Does he even know what type of business he is working for ? Really bizarre experience with the manager, Miguel…read more I stopped by during normal business hours because I already rent a unit here and wanted to rent another large one. The office was locked with nobody inside and no note on the door. I eventually found Miguel outside washing the doors of some units near mine. When I asked about renting another unit, instead of helping me, he basically did everything he could to talk me out of it. First he told me there was sharp metal sticking out of the floor of one of the units, then told me there were no units available at all -- even though the website was showing multiple available units. He finallly agreed that there were actually other units... but told me they were too big for my needs? Rather than helping me figure that out, he started questioning me about whether my vehicle was registered to be parked in my existing unit and going off on other tangents that had nothing to do with my request. It honestly felt like he was looking for reasons not to help me. I finally called him out on his attitude, at which point he seemed to realize he was being unnecessarily confrontational and started to half-apologize. At one point he was actually telling me I shouldn't use the word "dude." The whole interaction was just strange, especially coming from the manager of the facility. Afterward I looked through the reviews here and apparently I'm far from the first person to have a bad experience with Miguel. I was a good existing customer literally trying to give Public Storage more money by renting a second large unit. Instead, I left, rented a unit at another facility, and will now be moving the contents of my existing unit there too. Pretty incredible way to lose a customer who walked in wanting to spend more money.

We knocked multiple times, waited, and even called the office phone several times with no response. After contacting corporate to report the issue, the same employee suddenly called me back claiming he had been there the entire time -- which was clearly not the case. When I finally spoke with him, he was extremely unprofessional, mocking what I said instead of addressing the issue seriously. His behavior was immature, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate for someone representing a national company. I've already reported him to corporate for his conduct, and I sincerely hope they review his behavior and take corrective action. This location desperately needs better management and staff who actually care about customers. I've rented from this company for close to 30 years, always my go to for storage. Never again. I don't understand what was the purpose to call after the fact we just removed all of our belongings. I understand there might be some small debris or dust left over. I ended up taking my business to SAN CLEMENTE SELF STORAGE. What a breath of fresh air! Christine is the kindest lady to work with. I was taken by golf cart to the entrance, then escorted to the second floor of the building, and literally walked to the storage unit. When I left, they gave me a bottle of water and offered their bathroom. I was HAPPY to pay a little more because I was treated so insanely well. And yes. I did call back in February, inquiring about RV Storage. I didn't realized it was your business, and as you can tell, our RV is not at your location.
