From the time I reserved a storage room with a Public Storage customer service representative to the day I checked in with the staff, it has all been good. Alma, one of the staff members, was eager to help, explain the guidelines and give me a tour of the property. The rent is expensive for what you get and the facility can be a bit cleaner, but this particular property seems secure enough and the staff quite courteous. read more

My husband & I went to this Public Storage last month on a weekend. Brittany & crew took care of us despite the fact that it was way past their closing time. Very professional, efficient team. Brittany herself carried the boxes to our car. Today my husband went back to get additional boxes, tape, paper & bubble wrap. It was a lot of items & her crew carried everything to his car for him. The items completely filled up his SUV. He was very amazed at the level of service from this young team. Super service!! read more

Beware!! Public Storage lured me in with a $1.00 Special, and a fair, agreed upon, monthly rent, only to have my rent raised more than 17%. This exorbitant raise occurred after just 6 months into the agreement....with just 1 month notice........from $266 to $312 per month. Of course, moving out is an option, but that choice would cost $500-$600. Other storage facilities are just as clean and secure, however, their pricing structure is more stable and do not take advantage. I have learned that when a storage facility becomes full, rents are raised.....supply and demand, It would be much better to choose a facility that is NOT full. In this way, they are happy to have you, and will keep your rent stable, so as not to lose you. read more

I also joined during the holiday rate. I asked if there would be an increase, and was told no. So I was very surprised when the rate went up 50%. I was kindly informed several weeks later via the post about the increase. I would not have chosen this property if I had not been misinformed. read more

This facility has a good location, it's clean, and the girls at the office are courteous. However, I feel like they lure you in with move in specials, and once you get there, they inform you of the mandatory monthly insurance, and no matter what, later, your rate will go up after 4 months. It's okay to require insurance and to increase the rate, but I think they should be more upfront about it. Having insurance makes sense , but if you're expecting to pay a certain amount and then you get there, and they tell you it's gong to be $11 more a month, it makes a difference. The same with the price increase after four months. Also, once, I made my payment online in a timely manner, but there was a glitch and it didn't go through. When they called to inform me that I hadn't made my payment, I told them I had, and they said they could see I had logged on but the payment was returned. They charged me $25 for the return. I had the funds in the bank, and when I made the payment it didn't tell me that it didn't go through. I argued that they could see that I had attempted to make the payment on time, and whatever happened with the payment was a glitch of their outdated system and the girls agreed that it wasn't my fault so they tried to get the charged reversed or to get me a credit, but the manager refused to do it. When I asked to speak to her, they gave me the number and the name Tiffany. When I called I got the voicemail, so I left a very thorough message for her, and she never bothered to get back to me. I paid the $25, as I don't want to ruin my credit over such little amount, but I did take my things out of the unit. I felt it was very unprofessional that Tiffany never got back to me and strange that they are willing to lose a customer over such a small amount. read more

Even though I have only been renting a small unit for less than a month, I am happy to recommend Daniel and the Public Storage team. My unit is not the closest to the front door but the price reflects the location. The facility is very clean, great lighting, the lay out is easy to navigate, and has easy in & out via gate controlled key code access. As a FYI, you must purchase or demonstrate proof of offsite insurance and since my unit is inside the temperature controlled building I was required to purchase a specific cylinder lock. read more

I was surprised to see bad reviews here. Jerri was awesome to deal with as well as Chin. They were both so helpful and if you tell them what you want, they go out of their way to get it for you. I don't understand why you can't get a discount in store, you have to go online but that had nothing to do with the staff. That is the only reason I gave a 4 star, be nice if the discount applied to walk-ins as well, but other than that they were excellent. We asked a lot of questions to get everything we needed to know and everyone was more than willing to help. read more

I have used Public Storage for years at different locations. I give five stars to Jerri, the manager at the Irvine, CA. storage. Since I have moved, I have to drive quite a way to get to this storage unit, but it is worth it to me. Jerri maintains the property, the way a customer would want to see a storage unit maintained. Especially the one that houses their valuable property. The grounds and inside the buildings are always clean, and the staff are always friendly and eager to assist me. Jerry, goes out of her way to make sure I am happy with the service and that my business is valued. I reserved a unit two weeks ago for my move today. There's a certain size and price I was looking for and found it with public storage. An hour after I made the reservation I get a courtesy call talking about basic procedures etc. Great no problem. Now last night I get a call saying my size and price isn't available. Wait I made a reservation what's the point of making one then? She goes on to tell me they only reserve within 7 days of start date. Well no one told me that when I first reserved the unit. She tells me that the person I had spoken on the phone during the courtesy call wasn't a regular over there. Ummmm ok. When you go online it says you can reserve up until 2 weeks in advance which is why I did it that early. I asked if she can speak with the manager and work something out. She said she's the manager and the best she can do was knock of $20 on a higher priced unit which was still more expensive than I initially signed up for. Needless to say they lost my business and I went to another storage place in the area that communicated properly and had MUCH better rates than public storage. I'm actually saving a lot more money with these guys. read more
