They could be better at providing better payment options for customers. They were sent bank checks from my bank, and they refused to cash them. Instead... they held my bank's checks and charged me "late fees" instead. Saying that they did receive the full amount PRIOR to the due date, but since their policy is to not accept bank drafts they held the checks. They know what they're doing, they know they make more money charging late fees to customers. This business should be sued for this, but its not worth the energy and time. We reached out and eventually were told they were having management issues and no one was onsite. Days later, we had to go buy our own lock, then pick an empty unit, and email them which one we chose for our paperwork. We were never reimbursed for the lock or this issue. Then every 3 months, the rate increases. We have a small unit and in a matter of 10 months, the cost went from around $40/mo to the most recent being $70/mo. We are terminating our contract after this month. Cannot afford the continuous rate hikes.

Thought it was time for a follow-up progress report. My company has been using Stor's services for more than eight years. Throughout the entire period, services have remained constant. Stor has consistently been the best overall value we've ever found, 24/365 gated access, well-lit facility, video surveillance, clean warehouse campus, and unattended package acceptance services. Since my last review, Stor just installed a high definition video surveillance system, re-striped the drives, upgraded all the lighting - both interior and exterior, added aluminum rub rails in all hallways, and purchased new carts for transporting belongings from vehicle to interior unit. Seldom do I enter the property where the staff isn't out cleaning, performing maintenance, and inspecting the property. The manager Shannon, plus her staff, are still super friendly, and still perfectly maintain the facility. Yelp needs to add more stars to their rating system for businesses like Stor.

We had a trailer with a toolbox BOLTED DOWN for gear, and someone used a crowbar to pry it up, stole the toolbox, damaged the trailer (I think they tried to steal it because it was cranked all the way down and resting in the dirt), and stole two tires off of the trailer. $600 bucks down the drain and although the purveyor was "nice," THERE IS NO PROTECTION AGAINST THEFT AT THIS FACILITY and they are NOT RESPONSIBLE TO CHECK THE LOCK BECAUSE THERE IS NOT AN OFFICE on site. My advice is if you're not made of money and it'll hurt a little to replace your property, find a place for a couple extra bucks that is more secure. Because if someone steals your shit from the "Great Value" Storage lot, it's tough shit. I recommend you not put anything of value at this facility, because the policy is clearly "store at your own risk." I'm sure no one even received an email nor a call that there was a theft not that there was a problem with the gate remaining locked. But if you've got a broken down piece of shit 1962 RV that belonged to your grandma that you're tired of looking at, or can't sell because Mom will have a sentimental conniption fit for your being an ungrateful bastard, put it here. Even though I made a payment it was mis-applied by a third party system. There is nothing they can do to fix that claimed the manager. Corporate head office has nothing to do with the system and they can not control. They just want to blame user error. Not recommended. When the manager told me tough luck I had her escalate to the corporate office. She should have done that on her on initiative. Corporate saw it my way. They had my money on time (all be it mis applied) and I should not have been penalized.
