Everything was excellent. I especially enjoyed the Riesling--it struck the perfect balance between sweet and dry. Starters included Charred Shrimp and Caprese Skewers--light, mess-free, and the perfect quick bites to start with. The salads were fresh and flavorful, featuring cheese, spinach, tomatoes, and sweet potato. For entrées, I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked with a wonderful balance of flavors, and guest had the chicken, and enjoyed it as well. We finished with cheesecake and a rich chocolate bite--both the perfect ending to a well-rounded meal. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Overall, great food and a great experience--thank you, Provision!

The food is Incredible every time. It's a dinner vibe so lighting is mild. The service is great as well. Pricey but worth it.

We stopped by Provisions on a whim for cocktails and small bites and had such a great experience. Katie provided excellent service all night and even made me a custom cocktail when I couldn't decide. It was sweet, fruity, and exactly what I wanted. The crab cake and baked Brie were both delicious. It wasn't very busy this evening, which made it feel more intimate and relaxing than when it's packed. The calm atmosphere really added to the overall experience

I had a great time here. Located on the second floor of the building (elevator access available). The ambiance is very nice and really feels classy. We ordered the tuna tartar for an appetizer and it was outstanding! I also got a cocktail which I can't remember the name it was camp something but it was delicious! For the mains we orders the short rib and pork chip with a side of asparagus. The aide was great. The pork chip was awesome. I enjoyed the short ribs but it didn't have a ton of flavor and I was expecting a bit more sauce maybe or seasoning but it was still really good! The plates looked great and the service was top notch. We did the the cheesecake for dessert, it wasn't a New York style more of flan type consistency --wasn't bad but I'd probably do something f else in the future. But great place for a fancy date night!

We went here on a whim for the Veterans Day discount that the Cunningham Restaurant Group offered. First thing I'd like to mention was the service, it was impeccable. Our waitress helped with cocktail recommendations based on our likes and dislikes, and even suggested pairings with each dish. All of the staff were attentive with refills and keeping your table clean. Secondly, the food was good, but could have been better. We tried the beet mousse, complimentary from the chef, which was delectable. Next we ordered a mushroom puff pastry appetizer which melted in your mouth! I could've eaten so many of those. For my entree I got the Chilean sea bass. I wasn't crazy about it and I've had better, but I wasn't expecting much not being in a coastal state. My husband ordered the lamb and wasn't necessarily impressed either. The dessert was meh at best but I am biased because I don't like chocolate tarts. My husband seemed to like it but wasn't very impressed. Overall we would go back for a fun date night and would love to try the chefs tasting menu! The service and ambiance was perfect for a cozy, yet fancy, night out.

Everything about this restaurant is top notch. Beautifully appointed decor to outrageously good service. A special shout out to Katie our bartender both nights we came in for just being perfect. First night we snacked on lobster toast and mushroom truffle. The mushroom dish was delicious, and it's a hearty amount of lobster. The second night we both had filet mine with mushrooms, both cooked to perfection. The show stopper is the creamed spinach, just amazing.

Tried here while staying at the Ironworks. Food was really good. A little more on the expensive side but definitely worth the money. I have kept coming back for the Jefferson Old Fashions.

This was our first time visiting Provision. We went on a Friday night at 5:30 to celebrate my husband's birthday! Our waitress was friendly and gave us a "tour" of the menu. We ultimately ordered a couple of appetizers, salad, entrees, and sides. Everything for the most part was delicious except the entrees which is why my rating is 3 stars. Although the meat of our entrees were cooked well, the sides/veggies they were sitting on were overly salty. Salty to a point that we were both put off and couldn't enjoy our meal anymore because it was so overpowering. They did end up giving us new veggies but at that point it got to be busy (it's Friday!) so service started to get slower and we were about ready to leave (we'd been there almost 2 hours). I'd love to try it again, but with the prices and the saltiness of the entrees, it'll be a while. Share (appetizer) Wagyu dumpling - sweet and savory bite! I wouldn't say it was spicy but it was delicious. Charred shrimp - this was my favorite! I loved the curry emulsion and it paired well with the shrimp, avocado, and kimchi apple. The cocktail sauce wasn't necessary for me. Graze (Salad?) We ordered the pear salad. It was sweet and delicious! The sweetness took away the bitterness of the arugula. Entree Chicken - protein cooked well. Veggies too salty that it ruined the dish. Lamb rack - same as above! For the sides, we got the potato-bacon terrine & asparagus which we ended up taking home and eating. They were good.

We had a wonderful dinner here the other night. Service was incredible, atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is outstanding. I would definitely recommend coming in the winter time as the holiday decorations are beautiful as well.

So good! The service was excellent here. Got the fireside drink and it was made well. For lunch we got salmon, chicken, and the romaine salad to start. To get our palates started we had the chefs creation which was goat cheese, tomato, and pistachio concoction. It was a pleasant surprise! The chicken was soo good! The salmon was great but i didn't like the yogurt sauce on top, it got warm and got that spoiled taste. Not their fault at all as i feel that happens with yogurt based sauces regardless that's why i do not choose them. My salad was delicious! Loved the long thin crouton and the anchovies were just enough. Ended with their version of an espresso martini and it was great! Will be back to sit outside for sure!

We came here for our valentines dinner the weekend before valentines due to other plans. They knew we were celebrating valentines early and brought us champagne to toast. The service was beyond amazing. The food was amazing also. The server did such a good job explaining the menu and everything as it was presented to us. I got the snapper and oh my goodness this dish was amazing. I will be dreaming about it until we come back. The inside was beautiful and such a vibe.

Absolutely loved this place! Every dish was amazing, and our server was super attentive and knowledgeable. The food was tasty a must visit!

We booked a 4:15pm dinner reservation for date night. We enjoyed great food and service with friendly service. The scallops were my favorite, the flavors complimented each other very well; the potato gnocchi was a great with them. The soup was full of flavor and the brussel sprouts had a unique taste. The wedge salad was okay, additional dressing would have been ideal. My husband enjoyed his steak however felt the presentation could have been elevated. Overall everything was really tasty, we will visit again. The restaurant is beautiful and the area is very nice with plenty of parking.

    Is there outdoor seating available?

Yes, they have an outdoor deck. The restaurant is on the second floor and they have a beautiful outdoor deck.

    Is a tie required?

    No tie required.

What about taking 5 and 7 year olds on Mother's Day?

Great question! I would not take my younger children. The atmosphere appears to be catering to the adult or professional who's looking for a great night out on the town. Now if your husband is treating you, then go for it, you'll love it.

Had the shrimp cocktail, and for me, it is very different than a typical shrimp cocktail. The biggie is that they use fresh horseradish to give you a super, clear your sinuses kick. I actually loved it and do agree it's a must try. I hate the Mac and cheese and sliders, and both were above average. Got the extra lobster add on for the Mac and cheese, and it was solid. Ended with their chocolate cake, which was like an entermanns devil food cake on steroids. Take that as a compliment, because I loved entermanns and this hit that spot. Served at the bar, and the service was exceptional throughout.

The hubby and I found ourselves in Indianapolis for a business trip, and when I told him where we…read morewere headed, his immediate response was, "We have to eat at St. Elmo's." So... reservations were made. Priorities, people. And let me tell you, St. Elmo's was HOPPING for a Wednesday night. We arrived early and managed to snag a spot at the bar, where we met Christy (I think that was her name -- apologies, Christy, if I butchered it!). Heavy-handed pours, great conversation, and hospitality that was every bit as warm as a Texan's. She's a doll! We were seated pretty quickly, although things got a little shaky from there. Our server was Brian, who ultimately turned out to be awesome, but we suspect he may have had approximately 47 tables. His appearances were limited, and we waited a fair bit for that initial greeting. But then... the food. The hubby ordered the infamous shrimp cocktail, which is apparently so spicy that he cried while simultaneously falling more deeply in love with it. Seriously, these were the biggest shrimp I've ever seen. He also ordered the lobster bisque. I was perfectly happy hanging out with the bread basket. And I'm almost positive there were these things in there that were basically cheese leather -- flattened cheese that somehow masqueraded as bread but was absolutely NOT bread. Whatever they were, they were the BEST thing in that basket. And they gave us, like, six of them. Six. I respect this generosity. The hubby ordered the crab-stuffed shrimp pasta and declared it "really good." Sorry, folks. That is the extent of my food journalism on that one. I ordered the chop steak. When asked how I wanted it cooked, I said medium. "Cold red center?" Um... definitely not. So I went with medium-well, which unfortunately resulted in what can only be described as a crispy chunk of meat generously slathered in Gorgonzola. For me, it was inedible and, honestly, pretty disappointing. Thankfully, we also ordered the Potatoes Romanoff. Friends. If potatoes and those mysterious cheesy leather-bread-things were the only things I'd eaten all night, I would have been completely satisfied. Those potatoes were THAT good. Brian started making more frequent appearances toward the end of the meal, and we ended up chatting about the city, getting some local pointers, and talking jazz -- which I know absolutely nothing about, but Brian? That man had a PASSION for it. And here's a fun St. Elmo's fact: apparently, people who work there... never leave. Check the back of the menu and you'll see employees with some seriously impressive tenure. Honestly, I love seeing that. So, our St. Elmo's experience was a little bit of a mixed bag -- fantastic atmosphere, a great bar experience, huge shrimp, stellar potatoes, some questionable steak decisions, and a bartender and server who made the evening memorable.

The restaurant itself is really well designed--traditional meets modern in a way that somehow works. Looking at the tiles and wall coverings individually, you might think, "Oh...interesting choice." But put it all together and it's actually quite harmonious. Design math, apparently. We started with drinks. I had one of their daiquiris, and it was perfect. I'm a whiskey girl, but after some enthusiastic pours the night before, the thought of more whiskey was a hard no. The daiquiri was light, refreshing, and tasty--sweet, but not obnoxiously sweet. And most importantly, it tasted absolutely nothing like whiskey. Mission accomplished. For starters, we ordered the Brie brûlée. I was a fan. The husband was...not. Here's how you do it: take a wedge of their freshly baked toasted bread, slather on some strawberry jam, dip that glorious situation into the pistachio-dusted Brie brûlée, eat, and repeat. And repeat. And repeat. I eventually had to intervene with myself. I ordered the beet and peach salad without the beets because, well...gross. The peaches could have been a little riper, but the salad was still really good. Nicely dressed, with candied pumpkin seeds and some kind of soft herbed cheese that pulled everything together. Very tasty, and thankfully no beets were harmed in the making of my dinner. Then came the meatballs. I have never in my life had meatballs that tasted like these, and I mean that as a very good thing. They were herbaceous, tender, with just a hint of sweetness. And somehow, they kept getting better as we ate them. Especially the ones at the bottom, sitting in all that sauce. DO NOT PASS THESE UP. The husband ordered the prime rib, which he rated an 8 out of 10. High praise, friends. This man does not hand out 8s like participation trophies. Service was great, the food was genuinely enjoyable, and the whole experience was exactly what we wanted on our last night in Indy.
