Our food was mostly excellent. I ordered the cioppino and would definitely get it again. My dining partner had the wagyu burger and fries. The burger was good, but the fries were warm, at best. Our server was average. We waited a long time to order, while watching him stand at the bar chatting. After taking our order, he never returned to our table until he brought the bill. The buttery sauce was so full of flavor, the tomatoes were not overcooked & the mussels had the perfect bite. I could have ordered an XL plate of this and would be the happiest woman on earth! Oh, it was also served with 3 slices of garlic loaf (chefs kiss) -teen 1: the spinach ravioli add chicken was the perfect oasis for a cheese lover! Not a cheese lover? Not the dish for you the added protein was seasoned extremely well and the as creamy. -teen 2: Branzino Mediterranean was a great texture, not overcooked at all however, the flavor was missing a bit & the potatoes served along side of it were still hard internally. The sauce that was poured over the branzino had capers, tomatoes and spinach and I could tell it carried the flavor of the whole dish. -For myself, I ordered the Pasta Italiano that was to die for! This place was busy on a Saturday evening. Parking wasn't easy to find but found a spot about a block away. Food was good overall. Truffle fries were my least favorite. Gooey butter cake is a definitely a dessert I would come back for. Loved the lively ambiance of the restaurant. It was very busy but service was good. One thing I learned today that Carmel charges beverage and food tax on top of sales tax. We have been to Savor a few times now and with every visit I'm always reminded what a gem this place is. The food is consistently good, the service is great each time, and the ambiance is always bustling. Came here this time before a show at the Palladium on a pretty, summer evening. No appetizers this time. I got the grilled halibut with risotto and spinach. Delicious. My husband got the scallops and risotto and his was yummy as well. I tried the cucumber refresher mocktail. I enjoyed it but the $14 price seemed a little steep for a drink without alcohol. Prob will just get a regular drink next time. The only hiccup was when we checked in. My husband never received the texts to confirm our reservation so they had cancelled our reservation. We thought this was a little odd and a wee bit drastic. We had made the reso two days before. Grey covered Chairs that we sat in were unformafotable and hard to move in (very unpredictable in movement when trying to scoot closer to table) Waiter was very nice and was good on waters and was able to get us the included bread without us knowing it was available We shared a Caesar salad which was average with an under-average Caesar salad dressing (something tasted different than normal). We visited Savor for my husbands birthday. We were immediately seated upon arrival. Our server was helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance is so cute and classy. We started with the crab baguette, and I wasn't a fan. The cheese with the crab and bread wasn't a good combo, in my honest opinion. We than had the lobster risotto and the New York strip. The meals were both very delicious! The servings were decent, and the prices were good. The star of the show was the butter cake. DELICIOUS! Amazing! Myself, my sister, and our 2 friends stopped in here on Saturday night for dinner, wine, and to discuss our book club book. We made a reservation in advance, so we were seated immediately. Water was brought out while we decided on our first bottle of wine to split, and then we ordered bruschetta as shared app. The food was amazing and they had plenty of wines to choose from. We each got a different entree, split 2 bottles of wine, and then split 2 desserts (in addition to the appetizer). The desserts were just as good as the entrees! We were all so happy to see gooey butter cake on the menu as it's not on many, but is just a perfect way to end dinner. The menu had lots of pasta options to choose from, which some vegetation options, so it suited everyone in our group. They also had steak and sandwich options on the back of the menu, but we came prepared for a pasta and wine dinner. The entire dinner was also super affordable, which was an added bonus. Our only complaint was that the music they play is leaning towards ~club~ and it was incredibly loud. Otherwise, a really wonderful spot for a date night or girls night! The parking garage was only a few minutes walk down the road and we stopped in for a drink nearby at 3Up before our reservation was ready. I love when I find a new amazing restaurant here in the Indianapolis area. A good friend of mine suggested Savor and I'm so glad she did. From the time I stepped in the door till the time I left, it was such a great experience. Savor features a very modern upscale decor, complete with some good throwback R&B and pop playing in the background, this just might be one of my new faves! Savor's menu showcases elevated Italian flavors that could satisfy any palate. You'll find appetizers such as calamari, steamed mussels in an amazing white wine sauce, an artichoke skillet, bruschetta, a lobster risotto-just to name a few. On my next visit, I am certain to try "The Meatball" and just work my way down the whole menu!! Moving to entrées, you have several pasta dishes to choose from like their Pasta Italiano, a tortellini, Michelangelo, a fettuccine Oceano-again, just to name a few. They had some choice beef cuts to include a New York strip, ribeye, lamb chops and a 34oz waygu tomahawk steak!! I'll save that one for the big guys, but we decided to keep things kind of light. I chose their cioppino. And let me tell you. I have one word to describe it: DIVINE! The cioppino is also known as a fisherman stew where it was laden with shrimp, scallops, a lobster tail, incorporated with some couscous pasta. The seafood was so fresh and tender. I just couldn't believe my mouth!! my stomach was full, but my mouth wanted more. It was such a filling dish, but not really heavy. Perfection. My friend had their Works flatbread. I was surprised to hear it needed just a little more flavor. She mentioned it was just OK. Maybe they could add a little Parmesan cheese or something on top to give it a little more without overdoing it. Service was great. Maddie was our server and was pretty on top of it. She did a great job and helping me pick my mocktail, which was very yummy. I had the blueberry shake . I believe we were visited by the GM, Shane. If he isn't, he should be because he made us feel welcomed. Made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Shane is my new best friend. He bought us extra crostini to accompany our mussels while checking on us. And offered us dessert at the end of our amazing meal. Pizza was good and hot. Fresh toppings. Service; good but not exceptional. Hostess just pointed to the table in the bar. Would have liked our salad to have come before our pizza instead of at the same time. We didn't think to ask and the server didn't ask. One of the servers was in training and they were attentive. My wife really enjoyed her cocktail (some kind of Christmas margarita). Disappointed my second martini only came with one olive instead of two like the first. None of the things are a big deal, just kept it from being a 5 star level of service. Atmosphere is nice, but loud. We enjoyed the DJ's music in the bar. With a full restaurant and a lot of hard surfaces, it is a very loud environment. But in the summer it is much better with the doors and windows open. The open fireplaces are nice. We went to Savor for the first time tonight and were blown away by how delicious everything was. Cocktails (the bar knows its way around a martini), appetizers (our table got the bruschetta and hummus plate - both outstanding), dinners and dessert were all wonderful. We were lucky enough to get a spot on the patio and it was a nice for a while. Unfortunately, we were rudely interrupted by a large amount of bees constantly. I ordered the chicken parm, pink lemonade drink and fried Mozzarella. The fried mozz was a really solid starter and the rest was pretty good. The sauce had a very strong garlic taste. One of our favorites - both as a couple and to have guests experience! We love it for the consistency in the food (the mashed potatoes are the only thing that tends to change in flavor, so you know they're real)! The servers are great! We had Portia last, and she was amazing. We often get Michael who is also great! We love love love their filet (and it's such a reasonable price) and we'll occasionally splurge on the truffle parm fries. Other favorites are the Bronx Bomber pizza, the pork chop, bolognese. It was only fitting that we start the weekend off by going to Savor. Although I have not experienced this restaurant much I enjoy the environment and atmosphere as it is contagious as you walk the streets in Carmel. I was disappointed to hear that this restaurant will no longer be serving its wood fire wings that I have yet to taste. However, they offered me a new entree to their menu called the Pork belly and sticky rice. Our waitress Maddy, encouraged me to give it a try. She said it was brand new and the managers gave it rave reviews. I asked would I be the sacrificial lamb. She laughed and said yes. I must tell you that it was one of the best tasting meals I had in a long time. It also came with chili sauce that gave it the extra taste. Savor is one of my favorite restaurants for dinner! The ambiance is amazing and the vibes are excellent. They have a DJ Saturday evenings/nights. Service is typically fast and the staff is friendly. Just know they will not seat you unless your entire party is present. I chose the salmon with the creamy risotto. The salmon was cooked to perfection and flaky with every bite.
