We went here for our granddaughters birthday dinner. I really live the warm cozy atmosphere here and the decor is great. We got seated immediately and our waitress was on point all night even when she got buried. My granddaughter got the ny strip and fruit and ate every bite of it. My wife got a burger and consumed hers too. I got the price fix option. My salad was fresh and wonderful. My ribs with loaded baked potato and broccoli were cold and unimpressive. I got the brownie Sunday and it was perfect. My GD got a free cheesecake dessert. Overall a good night out.

This place is terrible, the appetizers were straight terrible the Philly cheesesteak tasted like it had dirt in it. I order the chicken Parmesan which was under the "PASTA" section and got this, this place is a no go.

We flocked to Firebird Steak House for Father's Day, and let me tell you this place MEATS all our expectations and then some. If you're looking for a spot where food is WELL DONE, look no further. We ordered the steak, salmon, and a burger, covering land, sea, and... dad cravings. The steak was so tender and lean like I like it. The burger was no joke either juicy, flavorful, and stacked higher than Dad's weekend to-do list (that he never finishes). And that salmon? Let's just say it was REEL-y good. Cooked to perfection and didn't FLAKE under pressure. The sides? Oh, they didn't play second fiddle. Creamy, crispy, buttery each bite had us wondering if we should write them a thank-you note or just order seconds. But the desserts, now those were the true stars of the show. I don't want to sugarcoat it (actually, yes I do), but they were a step above like if heaven had a bakery that moonlighted as a five-star restaurant. The service? Friendlier than a dad at a hardware store. They kept our glasses full and were quick with food. Dangerous combo. Final verdict: Firebird lit up our Father's Day! The food was flaming fantastic, and the vibe was just right. 10/10 would steak my reputation on it. Great for celebrations, family gatherings, or just a place to meat up with loved ones. We left full and happy enough to last until next Father's Day.

I returned to try their three course menu and it did not disappoint. My party of 4 met for an early Sunday dinner. Other patrons dined in, but it wasn't crowded and we were quickly seated. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We all started our meals with a salad. It had just the right amount of dressing and toppings. Everyone got a different entree. I opted for the wood grilled chicken dish. It was topped with large onion rings and came with two sides. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The asparagus and corn were properly seasoned. I finished it off with a tasty seasonal berry bread pudding. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had a small hiccup with a steak being undercooked, but it was quickly corrected by the staff. We will return.

I really like this place. Maybe it's because it's close, easy to get in and out, that they have a lot of options to pick from, that I can come for just dessert, the fireplace, the food drinks or maybe it is the great service. Maybe it is the good music, the good atmosphere, or... maybe it's all that :) I dig it :)

    Spring salad very good.

Issues with food allergies. The server was told up front items that could cause issues. But sill food came out with bad items. Took a bit to get servers attention to get it fixed. Ended up finally getting a manager and she fixed the issue. Food was just ok. Seemed like food quality has slipped. Nothing horrible just nothing memorable. For the money there are better places to eat. Our server was friendly and the manager was very nice. We had everything from chicken to salmon and shrimp and steak. Deviled eggs need an acid kick like yellow mustard. Restaurant was warm.

The food was amazing!! It was our first time here bc my boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was a 10/10. The hostess greeted us quickly and our server Nyree was really nice and helped us choose the appetizer. We got the lobster queso and it was so good we ate it before I could get a picture lol. We're not big on seafood and it wasn't a lot of lobster in there which worked out perfect for us actually. I would def recommend this place! Oh and the ambiance is nice they play music, it's not too loud! We got the lobster queso to go!!

Service is horrible and food took wayyyy too long to just taste burnt. MASH Potatoes are horrible not edible. Taste real old

Parmesan Crusted Pork Chop, it was ginormous!

Is Firebirds a good choice for a date night?

Yes it is. The atmosphere and ambience is definitely date night material. The restaurant has dimmed lights, which makes for a romantic evening.

How are the salads here? I'm trying to watch my bread intake, but want to find a unique, flavorful lunch option that's not just another Caesar or bland salad with ranch.

You have a glass (OK, two glasses) of a nice Barbera d'Asti, and savor a couple of nibbly things. Everything is sparkly and right in the world on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon. All this and more can be yours when you visit Wine & Rind. At least, all that and more was mine when I visited. This is my ideal restaurant: wine focused, with a succinct menu of beautifully presented and thoughtfully created food. Plus, it's located right off the Monon Trail in Midtown Carmel, so it's a prime space for people-watching. This little restaurant is a great place to get a charcuterie platter, but I was feeling like bruschetta when I visited, so I ordered the Bruschetta Sampler, which is plenty for two people. It comes out like artwork on a wooden platter: five beautiful bruschetta toasts consisting of traditional tomato; fig and bleu cheese; capocollo and a herbed ricotta; blueberry and lemon ricotta with sugar sprinkled on top; and strawberry and cannoli cream with balsamic. The last one (strawberry and balsamic with cannoli cream) was surprising and might have been my favorite, because it tasted like cheesecake. I love being surprised! I also ordered the caprese salad, which was a wonderfully tasty platter of tomato, mozzarella, basil, pesto, olive oil, balsamic glaze and Maldon salt. It was so fresh and light. Another surprise: It was sprinkled with sprouts! I would have never thought to add that to a caprese, but it 100% worked. The service here is top-notch. The server was super nice and attentive, but also disappeared and only reappeared when necessary. Wine & Rind is a Carmel gem! I know I'll be back soon to try more of the menu, and drink more of the wine.

This place is all wine, all the time. I'm not even sure they offer any other adult beverage! As a consummate wine fiend, I didn't even consider any other kind of drink, because I don't need any other adult beverage other than wine, you feel me? I love Solely's commitment to wine. They have wine to drink, and also, the walls are lined with bottles of wine. Just don't touch them! If you see an interesting bottle, don't take it off the shelf. Just tell the people at the counter about the bottle you're interested in, and they will help you. I wasn't in the market for a full bottle of wine during my visits -- just a glass. Solely Wine specializes in "unique, low-intervention wines from passionate small producers," according to their website. So whether you buy a bottle or get a glass, you know you're drinking a thoughtfully chosen wine. I had a glass of the Grenache Syrah blend and the Cab Franc, mostly because I rarely see these kinds of wines offered in the wild. They were both delicious! My only comment is that the pour is very small. The Cab Franc especially felt like it was maybe 4 ounces! I have weighed my wine at home, so I know roughly what a typical wine pour (5 ounces) looks like, and this felt like slightly less. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my wine! And the ambiance is killer. During the day, Solely is a cool place to grab a glass of wine and hang out. It's super close to the Monon Trail, too, so you can just bop over and get a cheeky drink. During the nighttime, the lights are lowered and the ambiance is very romantic and intimate. A great place for a solo drink, and a great place for a romantic date night.

I also love that they're connected to an art gallery, it really adds to the overall experience. I came here for a Yelp event and had an amazing time. Inside, the space is peaceful and inviting, with comfortable seating, games to play, and lots of natural light and live plants that create such a relaxing vibe. The owner was incredibly helpful. I wanted to try a wine flight, and she guided me through selecting options based on my preferences. The wine flight comes with four glasses and is about $24, which felt a little on the expensive side. They accept cards and also have a rewards system (which I definitely signed up for). There's a wide variety of wines, from dry to sweet, so there's something for everyone. I really enjoyed my flight. There was one red (Gamay) that wasn't my favorite since I tend to prefer sweet to semi-sweet wines, but I've been trying to expand my palate, which is why I love the option of flights. It also said it paired well with pizza, so maybe if I was eating that, it would be better. I enjoyed browsing their wine selection for purchase. I really admire how everything is well organized and easy to explore. They sell Stellar pretzels which I've had before and are so good, but solely had cinnamon dolce flavor that I never had before, neither had Kiara, so she bought some and I got to try the them (thank you Kiara!), they tasted just like a churro, so delicious, like a dessert! I can definitely see myself coming back here with friends or even just to enjoy the space and unwind. Such a great vibe overall.

Keagan Fife (Manager) - A team player, receptive to feedback and conscientious. We had a issue while there and he was able to step in and problem solve with me and come up with a solution that really won us over. We had a moment where it was feeling a bit "why did we come here" but his customer service exceeded expectation. That's good management. (He's the gentleman in the video below.) Let's get the negative out the way 1st. The first waitress asked if we wanted anything to drink. I told her we hadn't received menus. She came back sat them down and walked away. We never saw her again. A new waitress came and she seemed pleasant enough. Once we were all seated she began to take our orders. She made a point to say she needed to write it all down or she was get it mixed up. She then did not write anything down. Our food came out extremely slow but that wasn't a huge deal because we all were mingling. A lot of her team had to step in and deliver our food, give drinks, check on us etc. She was pretty non existent. Two of the ladies never received food. This was after we had been there for 2 hours and everyone else had received their items. At the end when we asked for our check they were all mixed up and confused. The waitress then blamed us for adding things and moving around. We never moved once and she only came around the one time when she originally took our orders. We never got a chance to add things. (it was quite comical that she tried to say that) I ended up asking for manager because she seemed overwhelmed and a bit bias about our group. Assuming that we wouldn't want one check and splitting them because she figured we would want it that way and then blaming us because she did it when we never asked for split. There rule is parties over 8 have to have 1 bill and we never asked for an exception. There was just her assumption that a group of black women wouldn't want to do that. (I digress) There were a few more things but I will end it there. That was the big negative. Now the positive!!! Ambiance 10/10 - great views, great music, great location, umbrellas on roof were great although a but wobbly and scary. Also, they come around with complimentary sunglasses while dining. I thought this was a nice and luxurious touch! Food 8/10 - most food received was delicious Service 9/10 - everyone except for our server was great! Everyone who pitched in to help was awesome! Ended up tipping a different server who basically helped us the whole time. Bless his heart because I know he was super busy. As stated above management handle the situation well. I would definitely go back! I try to give people a chance. I think our server may have been overwhelmed and had a past experience that left her bias against our group but hopefully she can grow and get better. Her actions don't reflect the restaurant as a whole! Go and enjoy the vibes and views!

Luke was our server and he was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed being seated in his section! He described the Carrots appetizer as having a "100% success rate" which sounded hyperbolic but absolutely was not !! GET THE CARROTS! Even if you don't like cooked carrots (which I don't!) they are sooooo good and there's no other way to describe it. You just have to try it yourself. After the carrots, we thought it would be hard for the rest of the dishes to live up to that but our daily soup (always vegan) was so yummy! It was made with leeks/root vegetables and forbidden rice - absolutely delicious and very earthy! I was so pleased with just those two items, I could've stopped there and had a perfect experience. We both ordered the mapo tofu - and it was not like mapo tofu you'd get at a korean/chinese restaurant. It wasn't a saucy dish at all - in fact, it was intentionally dry - practically charred. It included rice cake which was interesting. I appreciated the charred/crispy texture with the chewy inside. I wouldn't order it again but if you like textured, spicy dishes you might enjoy it. Luke offered to get us something else but we were already full, so we declined. He also gave me a complimentary blueberry sorbet which was delicious and sooo fresh, and wished me a happy birthday! It was very delicious and necessary to rinse the palate. We had a great time and can't wait to come back when the patio opens up - we loved their mission to assist with providing job opportunities for autistic adults, too. Same thing with the fish tacos as the lobster roll. They're very busy. I like tasting my food - not piling the toppings on so things get lost. So, I scraped pretty much everything off. The fish was good! I got my mom the fried oysters. No complaints. Her meal came with two sides, so I got greens and Mac and cheese. I didnt try the Mac, but they said the greens were top tier. They had a nice flavor, but they're spicy - so avoid them if you can't deal with a lot of spice - probably red pepper. They threw in a crab cake for free and I thought that was really sweet of them. I didn't like the way it looked on the inside, so I only nibbled at it. Definitely not what this Maryland girl is used to... the winner is still Commisson Row on crab cakes in Indy so far. Anyway! Cute little tucked away spot, small parking lot, but spacious inside. Quite a few tables and chairs and fresh seafood in the cases. I'd go again and try some different things based on other reviews.
