I don't really remember them so that's probably a good, but not extraordinary part of the experience. They say on the website you'll either love or hate mushy peas. I hate it. Many surrounding businesses have their own spaces or require permits to park. It took us a while to find a spot. We ordered the fish and chips (plenty for two to share one order) and an 8oz clam chowder. The fillet of cod was outstanding, but the batter on the outside was pretty greasy. The fries were mostly good, but we did get quite a few hard, undercooked pieces that weren't pleasant to eat. The mushy mint peas were surprisingly delicious! My husband and I were both shocked at how good they were. We've had mushy peas at other British fish and chips places and we didn't care for them. Yes, it was one of the best fish we've had, even in UK. Loved the mushy peas, haven't had that outside of the UK. It was minty which added more flavor. The only thing was that salt was sprinkled on it which made it salty. The chips are thick cut- crispy on the outside. We also ordered the fried panko coated oysters and chips. They were maybe 6 plump, very hot out of the fryer oysters. Done just right although the coating was a bit thick. The basil aioli that came with it was so good! Each fish and chips order comes with a single, 12-inch piece of battered and deep-fried cod, served alongside homemade chips. We shared it between two people, and it was plenty to leave us satisfied. The cod is coated in a wet batter and fried perfectly crispy. I do wish they offered halibut, though, because that batter is too good not to have more variety. We also tried the cod chowder (no clams), which was drizzled with a fresh parsley oil. It was incredible on its own and could easily be a meal by itself.
