    Rockfish Tacos

Stopped in for lunch while exploring the island after a referral from a nearby shop. The staff were fantastic from the second we walked in. They were all very friendly and inviting. We ordered the Clam Chowder, Rockfish Tacos, and Ahi Tuna Tacos. I really enjoyed the clam chowder but the rockfish tacos weren't anything special. They were light and fresh but seemed to lack flavor. The fries were your typical frozen fries that you'd get at any bar. Overall, great location with fantastic staff but average food. Not a ton of options on the island though.

The food here was just decent, nothing too special or exciting. It was 1 PM on a Sunday and they were already out of oysters, which was upsetting but understandable. They did have calamari, which was not seasoned very well, but not too chewy. The basil pesto sauce it came with added a fun flavor to it. We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich & the Prime Rib and Cheddar sandwich. The KFC looks dry, but once you cut open the sandwich, you can see all of the sauce that they've put in there. There was a slight spice to it, but I didn't get any of the gochujang flavor that it said it used. The Prime Rib sandwich could have used more cheese and the au jus could have had a bit more salt. I didn't enjoy it more than the KFC sandwich. The waitress we had was kind and checked in at good times. The wait was only about 15 minutes and there was a lot of seating options, only some with a view of the waterfront.

Amazing! I absolutely loved loved loved the clam chowder. It was the best clam chowder I have ever had. The fish and chips was delicious but I couldn't get over how good the chowder was. A friend of mine had the ciopinno and she said it was amazing. It looked like some seafood i simple sauce but she said that the flavor was so good. Maybe next time I'll try that. Hopefully I'll be able to visit Bainbridge again soon. The service was friendly and we were seated quickly. It does get a little warm when the sun is up but the view was great.

This was the second time I have eaten here and both times were wonderful! This time around I stopped in with my mom who was visiting. Of course, like a good tour guide, I took her to eat near the water. We shared the crispy calamari which were perfectly crispy and not chewy at all! The aioli sauce was a delicious addition! We also enjoyed a cup of the clam chowder (ate it too fast to take a picture). We shared the lobster Mac and cheese (pictured is a half portion) and it was DELICIOUS! Our waiter was quick and very friendly. We sat in the "outside" area which was covered with a tarp with clear sections to look out and heaters were keeping the area toasty. The beautiful Christmas tree in the corner set a nice vibe to the area as well! I highly recommend if you're in the area!

I came to this spot every time I visit Bainbridge Island. It's a solid seafood spot on the island and it is in downtown so it is very convenient to visit. There are a lot of tables available both indoors and outdoors, so on a nice sunny day the outdoor seating is very good since it overlooks the water. In terms of the food, I would recommend getting the fish and chips and their signature clam chowder. The efficient ships are very solid and it is good for the price. Also, the staff here are a very nice and accommodating , however, the surface can be a little slow, but worth the wait!

The clam chowder was the Best ive ever had. It looks simple but was just the richest, flavorful, no big chunks of potato(yay) and addicting! The grapes were unusual, really good, bloody marys, delish. Everyone was pleased with thier meals. We met the waitress the night before and decided to check out her other job here, fun times, shes great! Thank you

Our first time here for some reason (3 adults, 2 kids) - and we had to wait about 30 minutes during the post-lunch hour. Outdoor venue in the garden was great; couldn't have asked for a better table. We also lucked out with spectacular weather. Service was wonderful and I think they were going as fast as they could given how busy things were, even at this off-hour. Everything we ordered was completely devoured. It was that good. Our expectations were low, but still, this was really good food. Here's the breakdown: Iced Tea $4.00 Milk $4.00 Kids Cheese Burger $10.00 Kids Parmesan Pasta $12.00 Bowl Chowder $12.00 Seared Ahi Salad $32.00 Northwest Cioppino $36.00 Prime Rib & Cheddar $32.00 Sub Side Salad Beet Carpaccio $15.00 Drunken Clams $28.00 5% Service Charge (5.00%) $9.25 Subtotal $194.25 Tax $17.86 Tip $46.25 Total $258.36

Pretty good food. One of the meals that we customized wasn't correct. We were seated outside which was nice on a sunny day. Pretty chill atmosphere and pretty good service. House-made sauces were really good

It seems to be a favorite place for families to gather during those times, which can make finding a seat difficult. By early evening, most folks have cleared out, and it's pretty empty as the 9:00 hour approaches. We particularly like sitting upstairs since there's pinball close by (four machines), which we used quite a bit on our last visit. And, of course, there's their beer, which I love. My favorite is the Eagle Harbor IPA, their signature West Coast IPA. Their Kömmuter Kölsch is also one of my favorites (and likewise my girlfriend's favorite). I frequently buy cans of both to take home (which you can also buy at the Safeway on High School Road, and at the alehouse on Winslow near the ferry terminal).

Our bar host was knowledgeable, chill, and poured our flight for us. We were able to look out their big windows to a sunny afternoon. They also had TVs running different sports. Would love to come back next time I'm in the neighborhood!

We had the cod and chips, and the kimchi poutine - both total winners. The cod was fresh and fluffy with perfect breading and the fries were amazing. Clearly home-cut and fried in clean oil, they were everything you'd want in a fry! The poutine was really good, but it's a stretch to call it kimchi given it was really pickled cabbage (which, I know is what kimchi is but this wasn't that), however the mix of veggies, fries, pickles toppings and cheese was delicious- and their veggie gravy was sooo good! The servers were very nice and the place was the right amount of clean, for a seaside bar. Is absolutely go again!

To make matters worse, you're expected to order at the counter and clear your own table when you're done -- this isn't a fast food restaurant, so why are customers doing the work? There's minimum table service to speak of, which makes the whole experience feel impersonal and frankly lazy on the part of management. The food quality simply doesn't justify the effort or the price. Standards have slipped and nobody seems to care enough to fix it. I won't be going back, and I'd encourage others to save their money and look elsewhere.
