    Good beer at Crane's Castle!
    Alden C.

Steve and I recently made a stop at Crane's Castle. This is a relatively new brewery that has emerged in the Bremerton brewing scene. I must say that I enjoy whenever a new addition arrives! At Crane's Castle we tried several different beers. All in which we enjoyed. Beers that I like to give mention to try are their dopplebock and the dunkleweisen. This brewery also has food. Nothing quite like a full scale restaurant but food items that aren't microwave entrees either. We split a yummy pretzel with mustard and we each had one of their sausages a piece. The tasting room is clean and spacious which to me is always a plus. I would definitely consider going back to this brewery again.

Came here specifically for the PIROSHKY food truck. Love PIROSHKY'S, fresh and tasty. Follow them on social media to see where they will be next. Crane's is definitely on my list to try. While waiting in line for the truck to open, the beer garden opened up for use. Thank You Crane's Castle and PIROSHKY for putting this event together for Kitsap.

Another brewery in Bremerton?! Yup this place is legit. Love the setup lots of space and they got an area if you wanna play corn hole. Bunch of board games as well if you wanna play while drinking. They got a good selection of beers. They got hot dogs , chips and beer pretzels. Oh they got a food truck outside which I thought was dope. Overall dope spot for good vibes and good beers.

New brewery in Kitsap county!!!! I believe that it is locally owned too! A friend of mine works here and he has recommended us to come and check it out! I'm not sure if they've held their actual grand opening yet, i think they've only held their soft opening. I'm just going to get this out of the way now, but the place has a weird smell to it. Reminds me of like the farm or pet store. I don't know. Maybe I'm just weird. BUT, when you first walk in there's a bunch of tables and you reach the counter and order. There's bar stools to sit and chat. They have games to play. AND ITS KID FRIENDLY! Literally. They have tents and games for children too. They were playing a Michael Jackson station, which i really liked. There's a couches too in the back! I ordered the pretzel with the beer cheese. And holy. SOOOO GOOD. I've never had beer cheese before, i was a little skeptical. Let me tell you. I'll be back for that damn cheese. They use their own beer to make it (obviously) and they change the type of beer they use for the cheese, so it's the exact same every time! And i ordered the flight! I think it was $12 or $15 for a flight of 5 selections with what they call nibbles (cute, i know). It's like a bag of chips lol. If you like beer and breweries, definitely check it out and support local! I'll for sure be back!

Grabbed a few pilsners here after a hike and will definitely be back. The outdoor table area was the perfect spot to relax with a beer. Great selection, friendly staff!

Beer: Not your typical beer. The Scotch ale was as light as an amber and tasted ok. The Pilsner was average The Porter was good The doppleboch was great The red was good The "P" something IPA was EXCELLENT! The other IPA was good. Setting: I felt confused to what kind of brewery this place was supposed to be. After speaking with the bartender, the theme was supposed to be "like a German beer hall" I did not get that feeling what so ever. Perhaps the bartender was wrong or I just haven't been to enough German beer halls. (I have been to three in Munich) I know this place is still new and the owners are trying to figure out how to fill in all the voids but still. Staff: Friendly and nice. Nothing to complain or spend a lot of time explaining. They offer a "VIP membership" you can pay different amounts and get different levels of awesomeness. You plan to make this your spot. It is worth it. Overall try it out!

Child-size urinal in the unisex restroom

Perfect for families!! Great place to grab a brew, brat, and pretzel. Felt like southern Germany, with the long, wooden tables, the kid-friendly, chill vibe, and delicious pretzels. The location is slightly odd as it's in a strip mall and doesn't have the ambiance of a brewery. Super kid-friendly; there's a play-mini-kitchen, games, and the urinals are child-size and there's a step-stool in the restroom for wee-ones to wash their hands. Servers are friendly. Atmosphere is casual like a coffee-shop and there's sofas like a coffee-shop or living room. Kids loved playing corn- hole too. The line and wait-time to grab a brew at the counter is worth the wait. (They could hire more folks too?) The only reason for 4-stars is the massive amount of fruit-flies was beyond annoying, pesky, and gross. Would definitely recommend and return again next time I'm in Bremerton.

I have been looking for a place to meet with friends, have a beer, and play euchre? Is that something that could happen at your brewery?

Hi Chris, we welcome games of all kinds. We have a few playing card decks available for use, and you are of course welcome to bring your own!

Attention: Improper Food Temperature Holding…read more We were excited to see a Brunch Buffet come to Bremerton, since Covid it has been hard to find them anymore and we were excited to go check it out. However, they have some huge errors that they need to correct. I have managed multiple food establishments before and it always concerns me when I see unsafe food practices. This place is NOT safe to eat at for the Bruch Buffet as it stands currently. They did not have the canned heat lit underneath the Buffet containers, in fact one of the containers didn't even have one at all underneath it. I figured that it was a small error and they just couldn't see it. So I let the gal at the front know, she went and told the guy who was in charge of manning and refilling the buffet station. He said something that sounded like he was disregarding it. He never once went over to attempt to light them, check on them, and completely ignored them. We continued to watch as food kept coming out but no one was dealing with the issue of the food not being kept hot. There were people in line to get food so the lids remained off of the food, so the heat is coming out, there's no heat control from the bottom, the food is just quickly making it into the danger zone. Finally I went up again to talk to the front yet again, this time there were two gals up front. I told them again that no one had lit them, and that it's quickly becoming a severe food concern and a matter of public safety. One of the gals said, "Uhm, I think that someone is looking into this". They brushed me off and I could tell they were just lying to me saying someone was taking care of this issue... It's a fast fix, you just go over and investigate them, and light them. No one once had looked at them, they aren't "looking into this", this isn't an equipment malfunction, this is a basic requirement for Food sanitation to run a buffet line. By the time we left, no one still had come up to investigate or address the issue. This is extremely unsafe. It is disappointing that the reactions from staff also did not take this seriously. This shows me that they don't care about safe food practices in this establishment which is also a huge concern. I saw several people post online about the fact that they ran into the same concerns and issues today from service. Another person said they were told by a staff member "We went to the store and couldn't find more canned heat"... there are tons of stores with it. Fred Meyer down the way had them in stock. This just wasn't a concern for them, which is not okay for a food establishment. Proper protocol for a kitchen is if they realized they didn't have them, would have been to shut down the buffet for the day and cancel it until they could get the heat source working properly. Also the buffet started at 9am and the food wasn't fully out and ready for 30 minutes past that. It's a real shame because they have the potential to be a great place. We custom ordered omelets that tasted great, the food itself when it was hot tasted good. It lacked some seasoning but otherwise they have such great potential. However, they can't ignore proper food handling. They can't risk peoples health like that. Completely unsafe and unprofessional the way they handled that.

It seems to be a favorite place for families to gather during those times, which can make finding a seat difficult. By early evening, most folks have cleared out, and it's pretty empty as the 9:00 hour approaches. We particularly like sitting upstairs since there's pinball close by (four machines), which we used quite a bit on our last visit. And, of course, there's their beer, which I love. My favorite is the Eagle Harbor IPA, their signature West Coast IPA. Their Kömmuter Kölsch is also one of my favorites (and likewise my girlfriend's favorite). I frequently buy cans of both to take home (which you can also buy at the Safeway on High School Road, and at the alehouse on Winslow near the ferry terminal).
