this is the very best place in Gig Harbor bar none. We don't even drink beer., But the view, the generally friendly and welcoming staff - and the only reason this is a four star instead of a five star is due to the anomaly of the one night we went in recently with friends from Bainbridge Island to show off seven seas only to have a fellow new to us "greet" us at 9:40 to tell us last call had already been called. He was nice enough to let us show our friends the space., But was already sweeping and closing, which, as a restaurant owner and Winebar owner, I can attest is a huge no-no. All winter we would drop in on Monday night after concert often as late as 9:45 with no to few other customers in the room and be warmly greeted and sold a couple of glasses of wine just so that we could chill a little bit but, we never stay very long. And the girls were always very welcome and friendly.. But after maybe 25 visits, we get this guy, in a room packed with people, not that late, not friendly, not sorry, so sadly we left, but did show our friends the beautiful patio with the spectacular steady water and full moon. We will be back, although it's been a long time now thanks to that guy, and look forward to giving a five star review because this place really is special and doesn't even need our good review because they are busy busy busy in a town with absolutely nothing going on. Nice place to spend a few minutes and meet friends for a beer. And on a nice day the outdoor area is pretty amazing! That said ... They do not serve food. There is often a food truck, so if you don't mind that kind of setup there is at least food available across the lot. No servers or bussers as far as I noticed, so you get your own stuff and clean up after. Also no bar, just beer and wine. And I have had Seven Seas beers many times, and haven't really found one I would go back for. Lots of people love their beer, I'm not saying it's bad! Just not for me. Service is minimal at best. In the times I have been there, it's been one beertender, no service at your table and service at the bar has been less than great. Not particularly friendly, just .... there. If you've never been, I'd recommend checking it out for the experience. But the Tides is also right there and in my opinion such a better experience. Wow! Really cool location! Right on the water and there is boat parking right out front to dock up and hang out! I was worried there would not be food, but there is a great food truck that serves pretty quality burgers right on site! The beer selection is massive all seems both great and well priced! Plenty of parking adjacent to the brewery, with a dedicated lot and street stalls as well. I absolutely adore the build of this brewery...think ultra-modern cabin vibes with glass everywhere to never obstruct the views. The views of the bay, Mt. Rainier, and local wildlife are absolutely stunning! There are plenty of outdoor spots that give you a direct line of sight! The beers were also tremendous! We sampled a bunch, but the Key Lime Sour took the cake for me! Tart, sour, and remiscent of its namesake pie, it's the perfect summer sipper! If you're in the area, you simply cannot skip this spot! We live right across the harbor from 7 seas and we NEVER get over the view. We have this thing we do, we cheers our amazing beers and say " shitty neighborhood". We've been talking about visiting here fo a long time but haven't been successful finding a Handicap parking spot. Today was the prking exception with open ADA parking next to the food truck at the end of the building. It's a different kind of setup allowing customers ro bring their own food to eat or food from the food truck next to the building(picture attached). There's a nice outdoor seating area with seating and firepits. The staff is welcoming and friendly offer good advice about their beer slection. We had a flight of 4 beers to try and they were OK. Their Oktoberfest and brown ale were decent for mt taste but the other two beers not so much. There were some interesting food selections at the food truck and a patrob carried in 4 large pizzas to share with family. They offer a large selection of IPAs if you like IPA. Me, not so much. A spot to drink beer basically on the water is one of my favorite kind of places. This is one of them. My first and only time visiting Gig Harbor, I had to visit 7 Seas. Did I know anything about their beer? No. But it being a building practically (if not, actually?) on the water with outdoor seating was enough for me to be convinced. Old me would've been very disappointed in myself for being lured purely by ambiance. New me knows- this particular ambiance is enough to make me happy. The inside and outside is gorgeous. Clean, classy wooden bar area, and floor to ceiling windows throughout the whole place. Outside has a gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier, the water, a beach, big fancy houses on a hill, boats, and I even watched a huge otter on a dock monch on something delicious (s)he found! Fortunately, the service was nice. You can order either from inside or outside! The beer was, not my favorite, but good enough! I had a couple sours... which can be a mistake in general, but these were likable enough. Not too vinegary sour, and not too sweet. I just couldn't tell the two flavors apart much. I need to try their other beer options to get a better feel. 7Seas really knows how to create a great space. I've been to the Tacoma location several times. When the GH location opened (ON the water!) I knew I had to go check it out! Talk about brews with a view! This location has a "family friendly" side, and a 21+ side. I went with my BFF and her girls, so we sat on the family friendly side. Good amount of seating inside as well as outside. The 21+ side didn't seem to have as much available seating from what I could tell. They have the obvious beer on tap, as well as some NA selections (soda, juice, etc). Nice tap list, with lots of options, for whatever you may fancy! I had a few hazy IPA's. Forgot to review this brewery when I was visiting Gig Harbor Washington. They have recently moved into a new building near the water which I have yet to vIsit. However, the beer at this place is excellent. The brewery sold their draft beer in an aluminum cup that can be reused. When you reused the aluminum cups, you get a fifty cent discount. One of the highlights of the visit was finding that they now make Heidelberg beer. Heidelberg is an old brand that disappeared decades ago. 7 Seas bought the brand and revived the beer. It is for sale in four packs at the brewery. There was outdoor seating with several yard games. There was a large covered area with patio heaters and several seats and tables. There was no food, however, each beer is a meal in itself. I will review the new location when I get back up to Gig Harbor Washington. I'm sure the place is equally amazing. read more

Finally made it to the renovated space on the water! I love 7 Seas and have visited their other locations, but the beautiful view is what landed this place on my "must try" list for so long. The parking lot is small and I managed to get the last spot available. Others were parking on the street, so just be prepared for that (especially on nice days). The inside is gorgeous! So comfy and I love all the large wooden tables. I was working remotely here and the wifi was great and no issues with connections, which is always a bonus. They also have firepits outside on the patio that you can sit around, but it was a sunny winter Washington day which means those spots were completely spoken for. I for sure want to try and snag one of those spots when I come back! They have some of the best hazys I've tried which is another draw for me. The service here was great. They also are kid-friendly which is a big plus for me as a mom of 3. We'll probably hit this spot up often in the summer! They have a pizza truck on-site and allow outside food so plan ahead if you're going to be hungry. Can't wait to come back! read more

Finally made it to their beautifully located building on the water, which is perfectly aligned with Mt Rainier. Their building is amazing too, large area that is well decorated and they have some snacks and a food truck, which looked awesome. A few things that confused me though was the window in the men's bathroom that aligned with the neighbors window and the odd seating. They have four nice fire pits with chairs and another few tables in the 21+ area but that's it. The other three tables allow you to stand only. They have a lot of unused space so maybe they are waiting for additional furniture. Overall nice place, great location and good beer which I guess is the most important thing. read more

"I had a very disappointing experience at 7 seas in gig harbor. I encountered a server who was quite rude and unprofessional throughout my visit. When I tried to use my digital ID from Louisiana, which had a scannable barcode, she refused to accept it. In today's world, not being able to use this method seems unreasonable and outdated. What made matters worse was that she later approached me to question my age--while I was simply taking a sip of my aunts drink. I'm 30 years old and even showed her my ID to prove I was born in 1994. This behavior felt invasive and uncalled for, especially since I had already provided proof of my age. The entire experience left me feeling very unwelcome and frustrated." From the minute my family walked in the door and placed there order, they were meet with a rude attitude by the bartender. When they where just asking questions about the beverages offered. I literally just got of a flight to visit family. This was the first place we decided to come to. Also this same bartender who was there on October 30th at 1:30 at the gig harbor location. Allowed me to pay for 2 other peoples alcholic drinks but wouldn't allow me to have my own. I came here on the first nice Saturday of the year and the place was packed! It sounds like this location is new so they are still working some things out but overall it was a good experience. The deck has a beautiful view. The downstairs patio isn't open (yet?) but if they do open that up later that will be great as well. I do think they could add some more chairs/tables outside as probably 70% of the people outside were standing. They also seemed a bit understaffed but again as this location is new and it was an unseasonably beautiful day out, that's totally understandable. The staff who were there were great and super on top of things. The beer is pretty normal 7 seas stuff - lots of IPAs. There's also a permanent food truck outside that has pizza, but you're also allowed to bring other food in. read more
