What a great place to hang out. As you walk in, there's a big foyer that has a place to store your bikes and the whole brewery on the second story which you had to climb the stairs to take up or if you cannot, there's an elevator on the right hand side. Upon entering the brewery, you can see it is a very big space with merchandise off to the right hand side of the bathrooms are on the far back right there's a water station. If you're bored there's pinball to play as well as as a bar to sit out couches, high top tables or bench seats with us live slab wood. They're two businesses within Enderbury one is a restaurant called canteen in the second is a coffee roaster place. My bartender's name was Lauren. She did a great job. She was able to describe the beers and was able to get me a black IPA and a light Butte IPA. I did end up buying merchandise which was a beanie and a sticker. I highly recommend this place through and through. I have been to the Gig Harbor spot multiple times and this is my first time attending the Tacoma spot. read more

I spent the day in Tacoma today visiting the LeMay Car Museum which I highly recommend for car buffs and non-car buffs alike. After, we got lunch at the 7 Seas Brewing Company Taproom. It is located only a 5-minute drive from the car museum. We got yummy Smashburgers (comes with chips) and fries at Canteen by Camp Colvos. For drinks, we got a couple of sodas at Canteen, a Willie Maize Hazy IPA on tap at the 7 Seas bar, and I tried a refreshing Lavender Patch (16 oz iced sparkling espresso with lavender syrup and yuzu lemonade) at Naomi Joe Coffee. They have some pinball machines, free water at the back, and a party room you can rent. As with most breweries, it is family-friendly. I love the laid-back and friendly atmosphere of this place. They sell cool merch and have a neat display in honor of the historic Heidelberg Brewing Company of Tacoma that dates back to 1912. read more

Everything we tried here was great! I had wine a few times and then tried some beer so it was 5oz which is the perfect beer size for me! The lime sour with salt was the best! The bartenders were all friendly and had great recommendations. You can also sample before you buy which I thought was nice! There's food by Canteen inside the same building as well. read more

Always a good time to be had at 7 Seas. Their outdoor patio with multiple fireplaces sets you up for a comfy cozy evening watching over the harbor in beautiful Gig. Before completely eliminating gluten, I tried their 2024 Barrel Aged Barleywine (duh). Ugh so good. I wish I could have one of these every night. It's aged for 10 months in bourbon and whiskey barrels, and has a caramelly-figgy essence to it. My fiance has tried multiple of their offerings and enjoys them all. I like that they also serve wine and kombucha. They don't serve food but offer The Galley - a permanent food truck run by the local Millville Pizza Co. Each establishment inside the second floor has their own business so you'll need to close your tab at the bar or grab your food first if using a card. Had a nice time stopping by this bar on a Friday afternoon for lunch and drink! The bartender was very kind and welcoming, and it wasn't too crowded inside because of the time of day. What a fun brewery! Walking distance from University of WA and the Tacoma Convention Center, which I was visiting that day. A quick walk and I was there in the brewery district. This Seven Seas location is upstairs. It shares the space with a couple other businesses. A coffee restaurant and a burger spot. Excellent service and of course yummy beers. Here is the quick the rundown of my flight. American Hef- 5.6% delicious! British Pale Ale 5.0% light and tasty. Supernova Hazy Pale Ale 5.5% - a lighter refreshing hazy. Export stout- 6.8%, yummy and smooth. City's NW Amber Ale- 6.1% - definitely a favorite! Super yummy and a slight Caramel flavor. Wished I'd had a full pour. Willie Maze HAZY IPA 6.2%-Not my favorite in the flight but definitely a strong Hazy IPA, slightly bitter aftertaste. I did purchase a six pack to go. I'm sure it will be tasty poured in a cold glass. A family friendly brewery with kids and families showing up to celebrate things. Lots of room for large groups. I was on the fence of whether to make this a one or two star review and I have leaned towards the two because of the staff (only). We had friends from out of town staying with us and we wanted to go somewhere that offered everything this place had promised, at least in reviews and on the website. Perhaps it was just an off night? We go there around 8:00pm, it wasn't too busy and we were able to order drinks right away. If I were waiting this place on the beer alone, probably wouldn't give it much of a rating, it wasn't for me. But that's not the motivation behind this review because that's usually a personal taste. The issues, yes more than one, were: The kitchen/snack bar was closed even though the clearly posted sign and on the website both said 9:30pm everyday. AND, one of the biggest draws was the pin ball that was listed on the website, was not available. When I went into the area, the quarter machine said out of order, use the one on the floor, which wasn't working either. When I talked to the bar tender, he said "yeah it's broken and we don't have quarters". So, overall, won't be back. It's unfortunate, we like to support local businesses, but come on, you gotta do better. read more

One of my favorite parts of my maternity leave thus far has been checking out all the local kid-friendly breweries. 7 Seas is kid-friendly and super close to me, so we gave them a try! First thing I noticed about this place is how absolutely MASSIVE it is! So much room, plenty of tables, seating options, etc. There's also bar seating which is pretty cool, right in the center of the giant room. We tried one of their hazy's and it was delicious - I'm a sucker for any good hazy IPA. I definitely wanted to snag more than one, but we had dinner plans so I could only enjoy the one. Next time, it'll definitely be two. So good! We didn't eat while we were here, but there is a separate business called Canteen by Camp Colvos that serves burgers, pizzas, etc. It smelled and looked delicious, and I know we'll probably try next time we're in. 5 stars for food! Seafood roll (lobster and white fish) and the Hawaiian Burger were both really good! All sandwiches also come with a bag of chips. I got the imperial hazy IPA, which was a pretty standard hazy. My bf got a red ale (the special of the day), which was interestingly similar to a sour. This place is huge with lots of seating (bar, tables, community tables, couches, etc.) for parties of all sizes. LOVED IT! came here for a work Christmas party and it was one of the best I've been to. I loved that they had a sour option as not many breweries do. They let us bring in our own food which I'm not sure if it had to do with the party arrangements or not. The parking is tricky bc it's downtown street parking. I love coming to 7 seas brewing. We had my boyfriends 40th birthday here and I appreciated being able to bring in zeeks pizza from down the street. The kids had a blast playing pinball and shuffle board as well. The Seahawks game was playing on the TV and it was a great time to party without having to host at the house. Love their cider options as I'm not a big beer drinker. There's something for everyone! Great brewery! Update: We had my works holiday party here and they did an amazing job hosting us! The reserved space was beautiful with a view of the brewery and plenty of space. They also catered which was great! They had sliders and fondue and a massive charcuterie board. Shuffleboard, memorabilia from its prior usage and they allow in all ages. Had great service at the drink area. They ask for each person to only have 3 drinks. The bar menu could be ordered pub style, at a counter in the corner and we ordered everything that could be fried to go along with our beers. Pretzel with cheese dipping sauce, sweet potato fries, potato wedges. There were families with small children running about and it struck me that thus must be where families go who don't want to go to Chucky cheese and get to drink alcohol. It has kind of a festive carnival state fair vibe but with air conditioning. I give it a 3 because there was nothing wrong with the place, food or beer but it wasn't exceptional for adults. Are you older but having a night where you want to feel trendy? Like 23yr old trendy? Well 7 Seas has a college town hipster vibe while providing food that tries to be as trendy as you can get but scares away the youth in their *must be homeowner- sky high pricing. One this out night I was rolling solo (alone) so I started out with a beer. The beer here is actually the star of the show and the beer I got did not disappoint! It was a fruity IPA and it tasted of a higher quality than what you could get nearly anywhere else besides at a brewery. THE FOOD! THE FOOD! WHY? WHY? WHY? The food is where 7 Seas and thus the "Canteen" (the restaurant located inside the brewery) fall short. I ordered a triple cheeseburger (they are smash patties so their notebook thin). The burger however was $16 and it came with a kids soccer game size bag of chips. Yeah you heard that right $16! No burger at a stand is worth that kind of cheddar! The burger tasted good but I couldn't help but think how this $2.50 burger was $16! Grab food before because this plain 1st Degree robbery! Probably great if you like drinking around kids, but very uncomfortable if you do not. I suppose I am not the audience for 7 Seas. I've been before and liked elements of it, with a few reservations. On a recent visit, I decided it just isn't for me. If you are a family that wants to drink together with your kids and everyone else's, it may be a decent spot. Personally I was stressed out here. Approaching the inside door, I said "Sounds like Chuck E. Cheese in here" (so I was amused seeing someone else mention that in their review). The place was full of kids, birthday parties, etc. It's a large space that echoes, full of people. It's communal seating, so you WILL be drinking your beer next to a stranger's children. As someone without kids, it was very tense. I go to a bar to unwind and talk with people. I couldn't hear anyone I was with, and sitting next to children and having people parent over my shoulder was.... not fun. Now add to the mix: there are no doors on the men's room. Yes, there is a comically small clown-sized set of saloon doors, but they do nothing. When I went, there was a group of small girls right around the corner from the men's room, playing on a piano. People have to walk past the men's room to get to the women's room. Anyone walking past will see someone standing at the urinal. You can see in from certain parts of the bar, even. It wouldn't be so bad in a normal bar, but with all the children running around, it just felt very inappropriate. Some of the food is decent, as are some of the beers. But this place gets a negative 50 for ambiance. read more

They have great beer which is fun and always a necessity being it's a brewery but they also have the huge of seating area snarea snacks a little coffee shop nestled in nestled in and shuffle board.. Shuffle board is always a fun game to do other than the skill based pool... Some people are turned off from pool being that there is usually a great skill difference among people among people and shuffle board fills that in.... Grab some beer light snacks and had a great time don't forget just trying to grab some shuffle board fun. Is better than they also have room for private parties or get togethers as well as ample seating for larger parties there is quite a bit of stairs leading up so keep that in mind for who might be coming to this venue they might have an alternative entrance but from what I could see it was just a massive series of stairs to get into the main area. Had time to kill before picking up a friend from the airport and found 7 Seas Brewing open at noon on a Thursday. The brewery is in a place that is easy to park and the vibe is AMAZING! Big bar in the middle, couches on one side, a pop-up place to order food, a coffee shop, lots of tables, and places to hang out. There is an outside space that looked very nice, but it was closed for the winter. I got a flight and set up shop to work on my computer while I killed time. The bartender helped me select beers he thought I would like and they were great recommendations. There were 4 non-hazy IPA's, so I was in heaven! It was also my first time trying a black IPA and really enjoyed it! Can't wait to come back and try more beers! read more

Unfortunately, I can't recall the names of the two excellent beers I tasted. I didn't get much of an experience because it was almost closed, but I did meet some awesome folks. I've always enjoyed 7 Seas Taproom in Tacoma. Lots of seating, other drinks available other than beer, open to children, and Canteen my Camp Colvos food is delicious. Get the sweet potato fries! Only complaint is it can get really warm in there in the summer and cold in the winter. About 3 years ago, I had a birthday gathering there for about 40 people.
