This is actual brewery so they sell their beer can packs to go, as well as some Merch (apparels etc). Newest second location (Narrows Tasting Room) recently opened on Proctor district as well. If I were to get crazy picky, tasting of 1.0oz beer is still going to cost you a dollar. There's no "taking a sip" to see if you wanna commit to ordering a full pint, so just keep that in mind. My favorite here is Narrows Lager and Summer Lager is great too, and if you're an IPA drinker, Tempest IPA is a good option. They also do not prep food here so they got a Chex Mix + Pub Mix snack for $4.00 for about a small bowl, and some charcuterie boards. You can order some food downstairs/next door from Boathouse19 and or bring a small snack bag to nibble on. Parking is ample but can get filled very quickly, especially during Summer time when lots of wedding and other events are happening at the Narrows Marina warehouse, and I also see some food trucks parked by exclusively for those events from time to time. Lastly, they have non-alcoholic beers too! It's not their own, but I've seen them pour "Bero" canned non-alcoholic beer, so you do not need to be a beer drinker to enjoy the space here, but this place is 21+ only, which is another reason I love it here. Oh and last but not least, they have several rooms for event rentals, so I've seen many retirement, birthday parties and other events hosted in those rooms. Pretty cool! The room next to the bar area can be a bit noisy because of the exhaust fan running that is connected to the brewery room. All in all, a great brewery tucked in on the Narrows Marina that's worth a visit if you're in the area, and you might find me here too, just hanging out on a Summer evening : )

Their outdoor seating is the perfect place to take in stunning views of the sound while enjoying a nice cold beer. We ordered a couple beer flights and every beer we tried was crisp and refreshing. My friend also ordered a white wine and port wine. Both were delicious! We stayed for hours and just had so much fun catching up and enjoying the day. As the sun was setting, staff told us they were hosting music bingo that night and offered for us to partake. I wish we could've stayed and played but we had to call it a night. Maybe next time!

You will see beers that have familiar names from the Gig Harbor Brewing days like Dead Man's Island IPA for example but a lot of them are also brand new and offer something new from the predecessor. The Dock Street location is pretty great and a significant improvement over the previous Tacoma location as it is right off of Thea Foss Waterway, the marina there and the walkway. There is a drawback here if you are the type of person that isn't a fan of paid parking and more than likely that is what you will need to is is pay to park which you didn't have to at the previous location unless you want a long walk ahead of you which isn't necessarily a bad thing. One good thing with doing paid parking here in Tacoma is that the rates are fairly inexpensive and you can get quite a bit of meter time for a small cost. I had no issues with service like another Yelper experienced and was served in a prompt manner the two times I have been to the Dock Street location. The beers are fairly tasty and refreshing and it's a nice place to chill. If it's nice outside they have a nice space for outdoor seating and the inside isn't bad either. Between the two seating spaces one could seat quite a few people here. But onto the beers and what I thought about them thus far. Dead Man's Island is an IPA that I really enjoyed and rated quite high on Untappd. This very appealing IPA has a tropical flavor to it and is smooth in body and is Light Bodied. Harry Henderson was another one of the beers I have had recently and I liked this one fairly well. With this Brown Ale the flavor highlights in this beer are maltiness, nuttiness, bitterness and a clean finish. 4 Forest was another beer that I really liked and also rated highly on Untappd. This is a Wheat Beer which I do enjoy getting due to the biscuity or breadiness that these beers have going on. No exception to here with this beer. It's light bodied and perfect for enjoying on a warm summer day. Grand Glacier was another beer we got to try. This one is a Porter and it was good one. The roastiness as well as presence of chocolate and some coffee is all right there and we enjoyed this one considerably. After that moved into IPA territory again in which I got the Imperial IPA on two occasions... the Hop Valley IPA. This IPA also has a tropical personality as well as piney and hoppiness going on. It's a nice, smooth beer for sure. We feel like we did a well rounded experience with the beer types the brewery offers and have been quite pleased. I often walk a ways after work and a frequent destination walk is the Thea Foss area when the weather is at least somewhat cooperative so if time allows I can see myself slipping in here during my outing for a beer. I have already indulged on this temptation once and I am sure more of these after work visits will pop up again from time to time.

The beer was excellent, and the staff made the experience even better. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely fun to chat with. I was especially happy to find such a great spot so close to my hotel. This is definitely going to become a regular stop whenever I'm in Tacoma. But after maybe 25 visits, we get this guy, in a room packed with people, not that late, not friendly, not sorry, so sadly we left, but did show our friends the beautiful patio with the spectacular steady water and full moon. I have no problem with owners having personality, but treating customers like they're a burden isn't a business model--it's a fast track to empty tables. Add in parking her Jeep in the closest customer spot right in front of the entrance, and it gave off the impression that customer convenience wasn't exactly high on the priority list. If the goal is to use the bar as a personal dating lounge, that's completely fine--but maybe rename it something like F-boy Island, Love Is Blind: Happy Hour Edition, or The Bachelorette Tavern. At least then customers would know what experience they're signing up for. To be fair, the place itself is adorable. It's cozy, unique, and obviously decorated with a lot of love. The art on the walls is actually art from some of the wine bottles they carry so that is a pretty cool little rod bit of information. Definitely a great place to gather with some friends.
